ZipApp, SBLI Brokerage s streamlined drop ticket solution, makes life insurance easy. In just a few simple steps, you can get business done (and get paid) faster. Register with ApplicInt s ExpressComplete platform, if necessary. Submit agent licensing paperwork, if necessary. Complete field underwriting and review quote with the client. Create and submit a ticket online. Prepare the client for the tele-interview and the paramedical exam. A fulfillment center (pre-selected by your general agency) completes the interview and electronically submits the application to SBLI Brokerage. Status of the ticket can be monitored on the fulfillment center website. Status of the case can be monitored during underwriting on www.sbliagent.com. 01
Registration with ApplicInt (If a general agency or an agent has not registered) New Agency Onboarding This process is for an agency not currently using ApplicInt s ExpressComplete. The agency is required to provide the information below. Once ApplicInt has the requirements, the onboarding process will take approximately 1-2 business days. Required Information for Setup Legal name of agency Name, address, phone and email of general agent List of agency-approved carriers Agent numbers for: SBLI, Banner, Voya, Protective, William Penn, John Hancock, and Mutual of Omaha (if appropriate) Select fulfillment center from the available options Provide agency logo (formats accepted: jpg, gif, png) Request an agency-specific URL (i.e. ABC Company may request abc.applicintexpress.com) Request an agency administrator user ID: Provide login name and password, first name, last name, SSN, email address Options for Creating Users The agency administrator can create users (agents) within the ExpressComplete administration section. The agency can invite users to self-register via email sent from ExpressComplete. The agency may allow agent self-registration from their website. The agency can provide ApplicInt with an Excel spreadsheet that includes all of the required user details for each agent. ApplicInt will then create users for the agency. 02
Registration with ApplicInt (If a general agency or an agent has not registered) Required user information is indicated with red asterisks. The screens below are the ExpressComplete user sections that will need to be completed by the agency, ApplicInt, or agent. There are two options for adding the ExpressComplete access link to the agency website. ApplicInt will provide the agency with an.html document and graphic. 1. Graphic with Login only 2. Graphic with Login and Register links (this option is only available if the link will be placed in the agent portal requiring an agent login) 03
Registration with ApplicInt Existing Agency Onboarding If already registered with ExpressComplete, the agency will only need to modify its approved carriers and user profiles. ApplicInt can provide further instructions for creating additional users or modifying agent (carrier) numbers to the existing agency administrator. Carrier Approval The agency administrator has the ability to add/ remove both preferred and non-preferred carriers for all users. Available preferred carriers: SBLI, Banner, Voya, Protective, William Penn, John Hancock, and Mutual of Omaha. These carriers offer a drop ticket within ExpressComplete. Non-preferred carriers: These carriers can be quoted but only provides access to application PDFs for manual completion. New Users The agency administrator can create users in the ExpressComplete administration section. The agency can provide an Excel spreadsheet containing all user details to ApplicInt. The agency can invite agents to self-register via email from ExpressComplete. ApplicInt s Contact Information Telephone: (775) 525-5220 Email: calexander@applicint-usa.com Getting Started with ZipApp Agent Licensing and Appointment The general agency coordinates the submission of agent contracting paperwork to SBLI Brokerage. In support of the ZipApp process, SBLI Brokerage will use the Just in Time approach to appointing agents and will process agent contracting in anticipation that a case submission is imminent. Once the contracting paperwork is in good order, SBLI Brokerage will assign the agent a writing code number. SBLI Brokerage will appoint additional states as business is received. No additional licensing paperwork needs to be submitted. SBLI Brokerage does not charge any non-resident appointment fees. Once appointed, SBLI Brokerage keeps the agent s writing agreement active, provided the agent has placed at least one case within 12 months. 04
Getting Started with ZipApp Field Underwriting Identify the needs of the client to determine whether a term or whole life product is appropriate. Our term product is available in 10-, 15-, 20-, 25-, and 30-year durations. Our whole life product offers continuous-pay, limited-pay (10 years, 20 years, and paid-up at 65), and single-pay premium options. For more product info, go to www.sbliagent.com and click on Products in the menu bar. The Rate Analyzer tool can help determine the right underwriting class if you are able to answer questions on the proposed insured s health and family history. SBLI has six underwriting classes: Preferred Plus Non-Nicotine, Preferred Non-Nicotine, Select Non- Nicotine, Standard Non-Nicotine, Preferred Nicotine, and Standard Nicotine. Quotes/Illustrations Multi-carrier term quotes can be accessed using the ApplicInt ExpressComplete platform. SBLI whole life quotes are available via Winflex at www.winflexweb.com. Signed illustrations are required for whole life tickets and must be uploaded during the ZipApp process. Other Considerations Conditional coverage is available. If the client wishes to pay via bank draft or credit card, the fulfillment center will collect the payment information during the interview process. If the proposed insured indicates that a current life insurance policy exists, you will be required to provide the existing and replacement information (if applicable) during the drop ticket process. 05
Getting Started with ZipApp Creating a Ticket in ZipApp Go to your agency s website and click their ExpressComplete icon. (It may require an ApplicInt user ID and password; contact your agency for this.) The screen will start with Create Ticket and proceed as follows: 01 Product Selection Complete the state (location of sale), product, and basic quote information. 02 Carrier Selection Select the carrier and click the application button. 06

Completing a ZipApp Prepare client for tele-interview and paramedical exam Once a ticket has been submitted to the fulfillment center, a representative will call the client to gather the remaining information to complete Part One and Part Two of the application. Most clients will receive the call within one business day. If the client cannot be reached after the initial phone call, five follow-up calls will be made. At the end of the call, the representative will schedule the paramedical exam (for vitals and specimens). Please note this is only for cases with face amounts greater than $500,000. Cases with face amounts of $500,000 or less will only have a tele-interview. Possible delays to completing the interview: Incorrect phone number for the client. Unavailability of the client. Monitor status of the ticket A list of your submitted tickets can be found via your agency s Drop Ticket URL on the ApplicInt ExpressComplete platform. The status of the ticket can be monitored via the fulfilment center website. To monitor a case during underwriting, visit www.sbliagent.com.
