($2,000.00) To: 001-740-54230 (Testing & Lab Fees)... $2,000.00 Purpose: To pay for New Hire Psych Evaluations 8. Discussion and possible action for the Orange County Sheriff s Office and Orange County to enter into an Interlocal Cooperation Contract with Spindletop Center for the purpose of funding a Mental Health Liaison Deputy. If approved, the initial term of the Agreement will commence on September 1, 2018 and will automatically renew on September 1 of each year unless either party chooses to terminate the Agreement. This Agreement is 100% funded by Spindletop Center for supplying law enforcement services, including salaries, benefits, deferred liabilities, training, equipment, vehicle fuel and any additional expenses the County may incur in providing the services of the Mental Health Deputy for the term of the Agreement. Action by the court shall include approval for Orange County Judge or Judge Pro Tem to execute the same. 9. Discussion and possible action for the Orange County Jail and Orange County to enter into an Interlocal Cooperation Contract with Spindletop Center that would allow Spindletop Center to provide a mental health screening assessment on request for any inmate of the Orange County Jail that is suspected to have a mental health condition, either at the jail or via telehealth.
