For the 2014 Master Contractor Program, Firestone Building Products will recognize top companies committed to quality installations of Firestone products for roofing systems and the building envelope. In addition to the top Firestone licensed roofing contractors that earn the Master Contractor award, Firestone will also recognize Metal Wall and Specialty Products Contractors who have demonstrated excellence in the use of products and systems offered by Firestone Building Products. High quality workmanship and a commitment to long-term roofing system performance are the attributes of a Firestone Master Contractor. This annual award recognizes the owners of Firestone's top achieving contractor firms in North America and Latin America who meet Firestone's criteria for determining the best of the best. annually and be in good financial standing with Firestone to be eligible for Master Contractor status. In addition, to qualify for Master Contractor status in 2014, it requires a Preferred Quality Incidence Rating (QIR) that does not exceed three (3) times the average QIR for Red Shield Contractors. QIR is determined by the annual number of quality incidents per million square feet of roofing under warranty. Current QIR status can be viewed on each licensed contractor s password protected site on the internet. POINT STRUCTURE For each Red Shield warranted project, Firestone will award one quality base point per square foot for growth tracking. Total Master Contractor points will be calculated by multiplying the project level base points by the bonus factor determined by the components included in the warranted roof system as defined in the Master Contractor Points Schedule table, and then summing all project level total points into the contractor s current Master Contractor point total. Using the Master Contractor point formula (base points multiplied by points schedule total), contractors can earn a maximum 23 points per square foot for Single-Ply, APP or SBS roofs, 15 points for BUR, or 26 points for a warranted metal roof. GROWTH BONUS Contractors who increase their base point total 10% or more over the previous year will be awarded a year-end Master Contractor Point Bonus of 10% of their 2014 Master Contractor base points. NEW FOR 2014 Firestone has added two categories to the Master Contractor Points Schedule, Sustainability, which awards points for including Firestone SkyScape TM Garden Roof, Firestone PV System, or Firestone SunWave Daylighting System in a warranted roof system, and the second category is Underlayments, which awards points when warranted projects include V-Force TM Vapor Barrier Membrane, Clad-Gard SA, Clad-Gard MA or Firestone MB Base SA products. Firestone will award Master Contractor status to the top roofing contractors who accumulate the most quality points during the year. Throughout the year, contractors earn quality points for the installation of Firestone RubberGard EPDM, UltraPly TPO, Asphalt and Metal Roofing Systems that are inspected and warranted by November 1, 2013. R ecognizing Quality and Leadership in Long-Term Performance For 2014, Firestone will recognize two categories of quality contractors Inner Circle of Quality and Partner in Quality. The rating system to achieve these designations is based on each company s annual Preferred Quality Incidence Rating (QIR). The QIR measure is computed using the total number of warrantable repair incidents occurring on Firestone roofs divided into the total square footage of Firestone roofs under warranty: Preferred Quality Incidence Rating (QIR) = No. of Warrantable Repair Incidents Total Square Feet Under Warranty (In Millions) The QIR is calculated for all Firestone contractors who have installed at least 1 million square feet of Firestone roofs currently under warranty, and Firestone will recognize those contractors who achieve the highest levels of roofing quality in 2013. The following awards will be presented to Firestone contractors who meet the QIR criteria for the year ending prior to the award: Partner in Quality 1. Install at least 4 warranted roofs in each of past 5 years 2. Maintain at least 1 million square feet under warranty 3. Achieve an annual QIR of 1.5 or less Inner Circle Insurance Program One of the largest overhead costs facing commercial roofing contractors today is insurance coverage. In order to provide affordable insurance to those roofing contractors who have demonstrated a commitment to the industry's best safety practices, Firestone offers a nationwide general liability, workers' compensation and auto insurance program, underwritten by highlyregarded Insurance companies and reinsured by Inner Circle Insurance (ICI), this captive insurance company is backed by the financial stability of Firestone and its parent organization, Firestone Diversified Products, LLC. Developed with the assistance of risk management consultant Arthur J. Gallagher, this comprehensive insurance program will provide Firestone Master Contractors that obtain a qualifying QIR a competitive option when selecting insurance.* Individual premiums will be based on each roofing firm's safety program and past loss history. Payment flexibility is another benefit for insured contractors. ICI will offer an optional monthly payment schedule, allowing contractors to pay the annual insurance premium in 12 equal installments with a nominal interest charge. For additional information, please visit: www.ajgrms.com/firestoneinnercircle *insurance coverage subject to underwriting guidelines.
