Britton Palmetto Dance Center of Elgin 2548 Main Street Suite G Elgin, SC 29045 Palmetto Dance Fee Information Registration fee (once per dance year): $15 Monthly fees All Dance Classes are $40 monthly - $5 discount for automatic payments with credit or debit card. 2nd child/2nd class and above = $30 (Payment must be made even if class is missed.) If a student becomes more than 1 month behind on payments, they will not be allowed to continue classes until account is brought up to date. A $60 costume fee is due by October 30th A $30 recital fee is due by April 30th. Methods of Payment There are several ways to pay for your dance classes: 1. Pay with check/cash/or credit card for the semester. A 5% discount will apply. Fall Semester is 5 months, Winter/spring semester is 5 months. 2. Pay with check/cash/or credit card for the entire Year. A 10% discount will apply. Our dance year is 10 months from August through May. 3. Pay monthly with credit card or debit card automatic payment. Receive a $5 discount per month. 4. Pay Monthly by CASH or check. Payment must be made by the 10th of every month. Payments made after the 10th are subject to a $10 late fee
Studio Policies This form must be signed by parent or legal Guardian prior to student s first class. Your signature on the registration form indicates you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these policies. Student s Name: Release of Liability I will not hold any member of Palmetto Dance Center responsible for any accidents or injuries occurring to (name of child or self if over 18) during practice or traveling to & from practice, competitions or performances. Studio Policies (please check each box to indicate you have read, understand and agree to comply with our policies.) This registrations form also serves as a press release. Your signature indicates you are in agreement with our use of you/your child s image in advertising and marketing. We reserve the right to use video and/or photos of any students to promote Palmetto Dance Center. Tuition is charged on a monthly basis and is determined by the number of classes a student takes per week and how many students from the same family are in classes. Tuition payments are not refundable and are not discounted for missed classes, holidays or classes cancelled due to inclement weather. Similarly, there are no additional tuition charges for 5-week months. If you are absent for an extended period of time and intend to return to class, monthly tuition payments will be due as usual. Tuition payments that are late will be charged a $10 late fee. Returned checks will be charged a $10 returned check fee. Students are obligated to pay full monthly tuition regardless of attendance. If at anytime I become late with payment my child s position in class is in jeopardy. I understand that there are no refunds for unused tuition or recital, costume/shoe deposits. The dance year begins in August and ends with the Recital at the end of May. Tuition payments are collected August May. Tuition can be paid by monthly check or Auto payment drafted from your debit or credit card. You can elect to pay for a semester or an entire year. If you sign up for Auto Payment, or pay for a semester or pay for the entire year, you will receive a discount. There is a Costume fee of $60 due by October 30th. There is no refund for costume deposits I understand that t-shirts and sweatshirts will be available and I am not obligated to purchase t-shirt/sweatshirts. Students with delinquent accounts will not be allowed to participate in the Recital. Every student participating in the recital must pay a $30 recital fee. A student may participate in advertisement sales for recital in lieu of paying a $30 recital fee. You will receive 2 complimentary tickets to the recital. I understand that videos of the recital will be for sale and I am not obligated to purchase a video but can order one. Prospective students are invited to take one class on a trial basis for which they will not be charged if they decide not to continue to take classes at the studio. If the student decides to enroll in a class, the trial session will count as the first class. Photos will be made in the spring. I am not obligated to purchase any photos, but am asked to be present for group photo. If you need to speak with a teacher, please leave a number where you can be reached during the day, and the teacher will call you as soon as possible. Time taken between classes delays the start of the next class and affects every class for the remainder of the day. Palmetto Dance Center reserves the right to terminate the dance instruction of any student at any time, with or without cause. Palmetto Dance Center does not give refunds. Please check the Calendar of events for scheduled studio closings. The Studio generally follows the schedule for this district. We will not close for teacher workdays. The studio will close during inclement weather. If schools are closed for bad weather, please check our answering machine and website by noon of that day to see if classes will be held. If classes must be canceled, this is for your protection. Palmetto Dance Center is not and shall not be responsible for injuries received by any student while attending class or to any person while on the premises of Palmetto Dance Center. Palmetto Dance Center shall be responsible for the well being of the students only while they are participating in their scheduled classes. Parents of small children are required to be at the premises when their child s class ends for the purposes of picking up their child. Palmetto Dance Center specifically is not responsible for dance students who choose not to attend class after being dropped off at Palmetto Dance Center, or who choose to leave the studio premises during or following their class. Palmetto Dance Center is not responsible for loss or theft or articles brought onto the studio premises. Classroom Etiquette: Each student should bring appropriate shoes to class. Please write name inside of dance shoes. Please carry a dance bag with your name on it for your dance shoes. Dance Shoes are worn only inside. Wear appropriate shoes for your class. Encourage your child to wear street shoes to and from class. Please see that your child is dressed in appropriate dancewear. NO JEANS ALLOWED! Pull hair away from face. No Food or Chewing gum allowed. If your child is in class for more than 45 minutes, please bring a water bottle. Come prepared to sweat. Good attendance is imperative as absences and tardiness can hold back an entire class. Classes progress very quickly and when a student misses several classes it is very difficult for her to stay at the same level as her classmates. If 2 classes in a row are missed for any reason we request that you schedule a private session with your instructor to get caught up. Privates are $25 for 30 minutes. $50 per hour. Students are asked to be ready with their dance shoes on when the teacher asks them to enter the classroom. Disruptive students will be asked to leave the classroom. Poor behavior from a student or parent can result in dismissal from the class and the studio. Parents, Please see that young children go to the restroom BEFORE coming to class.
