(TNRDC) invites sealed tender applications from interested parties to quote for the Sale of Hyundai Accent GVS Car (2004/Petrol) as is where is condition and No complaint basis. (details of the vehicle enclosed vide annexure A ) Bid document can be obtained between 10.00 hrs and 17.00 hrs on all working days from 4 th October 2010 to 13 th October 2010 at the address for communication mentioned below on payment of Non-refundable fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred only) by way of a crossed demand draft drawn in favour of M/s. Tamil Nadu Road Development Company Ltd. payable on any scheduled bank in Chennai. Alternatively the Bid document can also be downloaded from www.tnrdc.com and in such cases, the bidders will be required to pay the non-refundable fee as mentioned above, at the time of submission of Bids The tenderers shall submit their sealed tenders on or before 14 th October 2010, 15.00 hrs along with EMD of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) in the form of Demand Draft in favour of M/s.Tamil Nadu Road Development Company Ltd. payable at Chennai. TERMS AND CONDITION: 1. The sealed tenders should be superscribed with Tender for sale of Hyundai Accent GVS (2004/Petrol) and addressed to the Managing Director, TNRDC along with the earnest money of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) as mentioned above and should be submitted on or before 14 th October 2010, 15.00 Hrs. at Tamilnadu Road Development Company Ltd Sindur Panthion Plaza, 2 nd Floor, 346, Pantheon Road, Egmore, Chennai- 600 008 Phone: 044-2819 4800, 044-2819 4900 Fax : 91-44 -2819 5800 Sealed tenders can also be sent by Post. Tenders received by post will be considered only if the same is received by the TNRDC within the stipulated time as given in the Tender Notice and the date of posting shall not be considered as date of receipt of tender form. 2. Eligibility for Participants: The bidders are required to submit these documents, duly signed & stamped along with required EMD and proof of identification to become eligible for participation in the tender. 3. The tender documents will be issued on production of an attested copy of the tenderer s i.e., Driving License/Passport/Voter Identity Card issued by the Election Commission/PAN Card. etc. The tender document is not transferable to others and the tenderer whose proof of identification is produced at the time of purchase of document can only participate in the tender. 4. If the tender is submitted by a person other than an individual, the details relating to constitution must be specified. If the tender is submitted through Power of Attorney Holder or authorized representative, proof of authorization should be enclosed. The delivery/handing over of the vehicle to the successful tenderer/bidder will be on proof of valid Identification Card of the successful tenderer. 5. Bid opening will be held at 15.30 hrs. on 14 th October 2010 in the premises of TNRDC, Chennai. Only the highest amount quoted in tender will be considered for the purpose of deciding the sale of the vehicle. 6. Tenders will be opened by the Tender Scrutiny Committee, TNRDC on 14 th October 2010 at 15.30 hrs in the presence of tenderers or their representatives who may be present at that time. 7. The highest tenderer should pay 35% of tendered or bid amount in the form of cash/cheque (i.e., which includes EMD of Rs.10,000 + Balance amount) on the same day. The remaining 65% shall be paid within 10 days of acceptance of tender/bid by the

competent authority, failing which the amount of EMD will be forfeited. The remaining bid amount should be deposited in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of TNRDC, Chennai within 10 days on receipt of confirmation of sale order from TNRDC. The successful tenderer will not be allowed to make part payments. 8. While the tenders are opened, unattested corrections if any will be noted by Tender scrutining committee specifying the number of corrections on each page attesting such corrections. The tenderers should sign with date and initials on pages with unattested corrections noted by the Tender scrutining committee. The tenderers should quote their rates in annexure - B of tender document both in words and figures. If any discrepancy is noticed in the amount mentioned in figures and words in the tender schedule, only the highest rate quoted will be considered for evaluation of tenders. 9. The entire set of tender documents should be submitted and no portion should be deleted/detached from the tender documents. 10. Each tenderer should clearly mention his name and postal addresses with pin code. This office will not be held responsible for the non-receipt of information because of incorrect postal addresses furnished in the tender document. 11. Each page of the document should be signed/stamped by the Bidder/Tenderer. The bidders are required to furnish proof of identification as mentioned above and their PAN Number. 12. The Earnest Money Deposit of unsuccessful tenderers/bidders will be refunded after finalizing the successful tenderer/bidder on the same day retaining only the EMD of the first three highest bidders. The EMD of the unsuccessful bidders (whose EMD is retained) will be returned after receiving full payment from the highest bidder. 13. Tenders once submitted cannot be withdrawn on any account. 14. The Vehicle for sale can be inspected at Tamilnadu Road Development Company Ltd, Sindur Panthion Plaza, 2 nd Floor, 346, -Pantheon Road, Egmore, Chennai- 600 008 on all working days from Monday to Friday between 10.00 hrs and 17.00 hrs. 15. TNRDC reserves the right to accept/reject any bid, to postpone/suspend or to cancel the whole process of the sale at any time without assigning any reason. 16. The delivery of the vehicle shall be made after completing sale formalities as required by R.T.O, Chennai. The vehicle will be transferred in the name of the tenderer only. The successful bidder has to bring the sale letter and other R.T.O. Forms. 17. The vehicle will be handed over on As is where is basis and no claim for repair/maintenance etc., will be entertained by the TNRDC

18. TNRDC does not give any warranty as to the description, condition or accuracy of details regarding the vehicle given in the schedule and vehicle is sold on as is where is basis. The tenderer shall be deemed to have satisfied himself on these points including the vehicle offered for sale. No sale shall be invalidated by reasons of any error or default in description thereof in THE SCHEDULE HERETO AND NO COMPNESATION SHALL BE PAYABLE IN RESPECT OF ANY SUCH DEFAULT OR ERROR OR MISDESCRIPTION. 19. The road tax/insurance/passing of vehicle/transfer charges/road fitness charges etc., shall be borne by the purchaser and TNRDC shall not be responsible for the same. 20. In case the finalized highest bidder backs out of the tender process/taking of delivery of the vehicle, the 35% advance amount (i.e., which includes EMD also) will be forfeited. And next highest bidders will be considered and negotiated for sale of vehicle, the same shall be intimated to them. The terms and conditions regarding forfeiture, deposit of balance amount etc. would be applicable to second highest tenderer also. 21. All Petrol/any other charges, if needed shall be borne by the purchaser. 22.The purchaser shall be bound to remove the vehicle within 7 days after the settlement of payment/other formalities etc., If for any reason this time is extended by the competent authority, TNRDC may levy a ground rent of Rs.50/- per day and other watch and ward expenses at its discretion. 23. The purchaser shall be responsible for all formalities, responsibilities due to sale/transfer/registration/ownership as required by the concerned authorities.
