In order to get started, you will need log-in credentials for Payment Manager. You should have received these credentials via email from Emdeon. If not, then you will need to submit a request to receive Payment Manager log-in credentials. Please visit http://www.elavon.com/paymentmanager and complete the request form. Log-in credentials will be created and emailed directly to you by Emdeon, the provider s trusted clearing house. If you already have access to Payment Manager through Emdeon, there s no need to request a separate log-in. You may use your existing Emdeon log-in to view Transend Pay remittance advices. If you have questions about how to use Payment Manager features or if you are having issues with the application, please call Emdeon at 855-849-1498. 1.1 Login to Payment Manager 1. Enter your Username and Password in the Login screen. 2. Select Payment Manager from the Collections drop-down list. Elavon Concise User Guide - TRANSEND PAY 3
1.2 Find Transend Pay Remittance Advice(s) - Search Payment Screen 1.3 Payment Search Results Screen Click on the Search Payment tab in Payment Manager. The Search Payment screen allows you to query (using various search criteria) and find Remittance Advice (RA) payments in the system. There are two main methods to perform a payment search in Payment Manager: By Batch and By Claim. Search results for all Transend Pay payments provides you with a list of TSP (Transend Pay) remits to view and download to post. The Payment # column is the same as the Trace Number in your Elavon payment report. This number will enable you to match against your payment. The Billing Office can utilize the Status column to track worked/un-worked remits and to manage notes. The search results can be exported to Excel for additional workflow management. The Advanced Search criteria enable searching by additional criteria, including Payment Method. You can search for Transend Pay payments by checking the TSP (Transend Pay) checkbox or by selecting Transend Pay in the remittance Source drop-down menu. 1.2.1 Identify Transend Pay Payments You can track the history of Remittance Advices retrieved from Payment Manager by clicking on the Retrieved field of the 835 Retrieval column and view the RA Retrieval History Report. A pop-up window displays the RA Retrieval History Report. Data presented in this window is for reference purposes only. Note: No links to further information are included in the RA Retrieval History Report. Remittance data related to Transend Pay payments can be identified by the following methods: Search by TSP in the Payment Method Search field and/or search by the Transend Pay in the Source drop-down list. All Transend Pay Remittance Advices will indicate CHK (check) in the BPR04 Payment Type field of the remittance since this payment originated as a check from the Payer. TRN02 of the Remittance Advice will always have a 30-character numeric value in the TRN02 (payment identifier check number field). This trace number will tie to your Elavon Transend Payment and corresponding reports. 1.4 Download and View 835 Posting File 1. To access and download one or more 835 files place a check in the applicable Select checkbox(es) in the Search Results list. 2. Click Create Posting File. 4. Open the exported 835 file(s) from a Notepad window, or select Notepad as the application to use if you are opening the file directly from a folder. (To access the Open With feature, right-click on the file name within your Windows folder.) 3. The File Download pop-up window displays. Click Save. Select a local or network location to save the file(s). Merchant Connect Deposit Report The deposit report will contain a new column named ROC Text. The value of this field will match the TRN segment contained within the ERA received from the health plan payer. The ERA (835) is accessible from Payment Manager. Please note that the amount contained in the Net Amount column will match the amount in the BPR segment for the ERA.
