16. Insects or vermin; Travel Insurance FAQs 1. Can you explain to me what do you mean by Travel Insurance? Travel Insurance is a product to protect you while travelling outside of your country of residence. This product offers to financially compensate and provide services for certain unforeseen circumstances that may force you to cancel your trip or seek emergency medical treatment. The program also provides few other benefits like Travel inconvenience and Baggage. Complete list of the benefits are available in the Policy Terms. 2. How long is the cover valid for? The cover is valid for a maximum duration of 90 days for any one trip outside the country. 3. Who is eligible for this cover? The VISA card holder, Spouse and up to 5 children are covered under this program provided at least 50% of the ticket is purchased on the eligible VISA card. A sub-limit on the cover applies to the family. Kindly refer to the table of benefits in the policy terms for details of the cover. 4. How do I get a certificate of cover in the event it is required to be produced to an embassy or consulate for the purpose of visa application? Upon request of the card holder, the Bank will issue a letter stating the cover which could be presented as proof of insurance to the respective embassy or consulate. 5. How do I report a claim? Claim needs to be reported at the earliest by calling 8001260006. A representative will review your situation and will explain exactly what information will required in order to process the claim. 6. Do I need to request for a Letter of cover for the policy to be effective? No, you do not. To be eligible for the cover you need to pay for at least 50% of the travel ticket using an eligible VISA card. 7. What countries are covered under this program? I have bought a pair of two ceramic lamps and one of the lamps is broken. Since this was a pair, I am expecting the claim payment for the set of them. The coverage available for this pair of lamps is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the lamp that has been broken. However, in case this broken lamp cannot be replaced, the value of the pair of lamps will be payable provided it doesn t exceed the per occurrence limit 10. I purchased a digital camera from the local electronic shop on 1/7/14 and it has been stolen on 4/7/14 (The claim has to be notified within 30 days from the date of incidence in this case within 365 days from 4/10/14).
