Mandatory Coaches Meeting Mon., April 9th @ 6:30pm Kewaskum Annex Building (Boys Hardball, Girls Fastpitch, & Rubbber ball) Uniform Information New Uniform Jerseys will be issued yearly. The KAA does NOT provide game pants. Participants will need to have their own gray pants. ALL Fast-pitch players are required to have black pants. Fast-Pitch players are also suggested to consider fielding masks. It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED each player secure their own batting helmet for sanitary reasons. Annual Fundraiser (except T-Ball and Volleyball) All KAA participants are required to participate in the annual KAA fundraiser. Tickets will be distributed 5/22/18. This will be a cash raffle similar to our 2017 fundraiser. Special Event Dates Parents will be asked to volunteer time to help with the following games. We are looking for individuals to do fieldwork, concessions and umpiring. Time slots will be posted at a later date and are determined by lottery system. U14 League Tournament: June 2 T-ball game Day: June 24 U10/U12 League Tournament: July 7-8 How can I Get Involved? KEWASKUM ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION Parent Code of Conduct The board of directors of Kewaskum Athletic Association has mandated the following Code of Conduct. All parents will read this Code of Conduct and sign in the space provided below acknowledging that he and/or she understands and agrees to comply with the Code of Conduct. No parent, guardian, or spectator shall, at any time: Lay a hand upon, push, shove, strike, or threaten to strike an official. Be guilty of heaping personal, verbal or physical abuse upon any official for any real or imaginary belief of a wrong decision or judgement. Be guilty of an objectionable demonstration of dissent at an official s decision by throwing of gloves, helmets, hats, bats, balls, or any other forced unsportsman-like action. Be guilty of a physical attack upon an umpire, manager, coach, player, or another spectator. Be guilty of the use of profane, obscene or vulgar language in any manner at any time. Appear on the field of play, stands, or anywhere on the KAA complex while in an intoxicated state. Intoxicated will be defined as an odor and/or behavior issue. Be guilty of gambling upon any play or outcome of any game with anyone at any time. Smoke tobacco products while playing on the field, or in any dugout. Be guilty of publicly discussing with spectators in derogatory or abusive manner any play, decision, or a personal opinion on any players during the game. Speak disrespectfully to any umpire, manager, coach, official or representative of the league. Be guilty of tampering or manipulating any league rosters, schedules, draft positions or selections, official score books, rankings, financial records or procedures. Challenge an umpire s authority. The umpires shall have the authority and discretion during a game to penalize the offender according to the infraction up to and including expulsion from the KAA complex. The board of directors of Kewaskum Athletic Association will review all infractions of the KAA Code of Conduct. PARENT & ATHLETE AGREEMENT Related to Concussion Law 2011 Wisconsin Act 172 As a Parent and as an Athlete it is important to recognize the signs, symptoms, and behaviors of concussions. By signing this form you are stating that you understand the importance of recognizing and responding to the signs, symptoms, and behaviors of a concussion or head injury. This form must be completed for every sports season and every youth athletic organization the athlete is involved with.
