CONTEST 1. TO ENTER CONTEST RULES CBC - P&G Family Sunday Wizard of Oz Contest ( Contest ) from October 30, 2010 to November 26, 2011 The CBC and P&G Family Sunday Wizard of Oz Contest is sponsored by CBC and Procter & Gamble, Inc. (the Contest Sponsors ). To enter the Contest, visit the CBC website www.cbc.ca/familysunday and answer a P&G brand question, complete the official entry form including your name, email address, telephone number, year and month of birth, and confirm compliance to the Contest rules by checking the appropriate box and click Submit to enter. To be valid, all official entry forms must be received by 11:59 pm EDT on November 26, 2011. Limit of one entry per person and/or e- mail address per day. In the event it is discovered that you submitted more than one entry, all additional/duplicate entries will be disqualified. No purchase required. A purchase or payment of any kind will not increase your chances of winning. Administrator: CBC. Administrator s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Contest 2. ELIGIBILITY Contest is open to all Canadian residents who are over the age of majority in their province or territory of residence as of the last day of the month prior to the time of entering the Contest. Employees of CBC, Ross Petty Productions, Procter & Gamble Inc, its advertising and promotional agencies, or parties engaged in the development, production and distribution of materials related to this Contest, and their affiliates, as well as their immediate family (father/mother, brother/sister, son/daughter) or persons living under the same roof are not eligible to enter this Contest. 3. PROCEDURE FOR AWARDING PRIZES On November 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM EDT in the City of Toronto, Ontario, a winner will be selected by random draw conducted by CBC staff. This draw will be made from among all eligible entries received. The first randomly selected entry which correctly
answered the mandatory P&G question on the online entry form will be the potential winner, subject to responding to all the conditions described in these rules. The potential winner will be contacted by telephone or by e-mail, within 2 days of the random draw and be given 48 hours to respond to the email or phone message. If they do not respond within this time limit, or otherwise does not meet all Contest conditions, all rights to the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected from among all eligible entries received, time permitting until a qualified winner has been declared. 4. DESCRIPTION OF PRIZE(S) There will be one (1) prize available to be won. The prize is a trip for four (4) to see the Ross Petty production of The Wizard of Oz at the Elgin theatre in Toronto, ON. The winner and travel companions must be able to travel to Toronto, ON between December 12, 2011 and December 31, 2011. The prize includes: four (4)_round trip economy airline tickets to Toronto, ON from the international airport nearest to the winner s residence; Accommodations for four (4) persons for three (3) nights (two rooms double occupancy) at a hotel to be decided by CBC; Five hundred dollars ($500 Canadian) spending money One (1) CBC cookbook. The prize includes only what is specifically described above and no other allowance will be granted. The winner and his/her travel companions will have to pay all other expenses including, but not limited to: meals and beverages; transportation costs, including round-trip transfers between the winner s residence and the airport; travel insurance (cancellation, medical, etc.); gratuities, tips, taxes of any kind; personal expenses The winner and his/her travel companions are responsible for obtaining a valid passport and/or other required travel documentation at their own expense. If the winner and his/her travel companions are unable to travel because they lack proper documentation, the prize will be forfeited without compensation, and a new random draw among all eligible entries may be held, time permitted. If the winner s travel companion is under the age of majority, the winner must be the parent or legal guardian of that minor. The winner and his/her travel companions must be prepared to travel to Toronto, ON on the dates as outlined in the prize description. If the winner and travel companions cannot travel on these dates, the prize will be forfeited and alternative winner may be randomly
chosen among all eligible entries, time permitted. Blackout periods may apply. Winner and travel companions must depart from the same departure point and must travel together on the same itinerary. In the event the Winner and/or travel companion(s) live within driving distance of the Elgin theatre, as determined by the Contest Sponsors, the winner will not be eligible for the airline transportation of the prize and no monetary compensation will be substituted. Approximate retail value of the prize is $7,650 (Seven Thousand, six hundred and fifty dollars Canadian) depending on time and point of departure. Winner is not entitled to any monetary difference between actual prize and the stated approximate prize value, if any. The odds of winning will be determined by the total number of eligible entries received. 5. GENERAL RULES 5.1 To be declared a winner, the contestant must first correctly answer the P&G question on the on line contest entry form, complete a written Contest Declaration & Release form confirming compliance with the Contest rules and correctly answer, unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by telephone, mail or email. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. No correspondence pertaining to this Contest will be entered into except with potential winner. In the event of non-compliance with Official Rules, if a potential winner is deemed ineligible, declines prize for fails to return Release within the time period specified, or Release, prize and/or prize notification is returned as undeliverable or does not meet all Contest conditions, prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected from among all remaining eligible entries received, time permitting. 5.2 Winner, as well as the people accompanying them including if they are minors, shall agree, to be governed by these rules, and if requested, to have their name and address (city and province only) in a winner s list. Winner s travel companions (or parent or legal guardian if travel companion is a minor) will also be required to execute a release prior to departure. Winner further agrees to allow the Contest Sponsors to use his/her name, address (city and province only), and/or picture, including their photograph, and/or their voices used for advertising purposes or other purposes worldwide, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, including the internet, related to this Contest, free of charge. 5.3 Winner shall sign a document attesting to their eligibility as stipulated in paragraph 2 of these rules and releasing CBC, Ross Petty Productions, Procter & Gamble, Inc, their affiliates, as well as their respective directors, officers and employees, from all liability for any damage or loss arising from participation in this Contest or from the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize. 5.4 The prize shall be accepted as is and may not be exchanged for an amount of money,
nor sold, nor transferred or refundable except in Contest Sponsors sole discretion. No substitutions will be allowed. 5.5 If the prize cannot be awarded as described in these rules, CBC, Ross Petty Productions, Proctor &Gamble Inc., their affiliates, as well as their respective directors, officers and employees, reserve the right to substitute a prize or prize component with another of comparable value in the event that the prize(s) described is unavailable due to circumstances beyond their control 5.6 Refusal to accept the prize releases CBC, Ross Petty Productions Procter & Gamble Inc, their affiliates, as well as their respective directors, officers and employees, of obligation toward the winner. By accepting prize, winner and travel companions agree to hold Sponsors, its respective directors, officers, employees and assigns, harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of use of prize. Winner and travel companions assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this Contest or use or redemption of any prize. 5.7 Should winner make any false statement, they shall be automatically disqualified from the Contest. 5.8 All entries become the property of the Contest Sponsors. CBC, Ross Petty Productions, Procter & Gamble Inc., their affiliates, as well as their respective directors, officers and employees, shall assume no liability resulting from printing errors on materials distributed for this Contest nor will any responsibility be taken for losses, delays, mistaken addresses on mail or e-mail received, typographical errors, technical, computer or telephone malfunctions, loss or theft of computer or telephone data, damage to software or computer equipment, network connections, fraudulent calls delayed computer transmissions, whether caused by the Contest Sponsors, users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the promotion or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions which may damage a user's system or limit a participant's ability to participate in the Contest. Contest Sponsors reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this promotion should a virus, bug, computer problem, unauthorized human intervention or other cause beyond Contest Sponsor(s) control, corrupt the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Contest. In the event of early termination of the Contest, a notice will be posted on-line and a random drawing to award all prizes will be conducted from among all eligible entries received prior to the time of termination. Contest Sponsors reserves the right to modify the Contest or disqualify entrant if fraud, misconduct or technical failures destroy the integrity of the contest as determined by the Contest Sponsors, in its sole discretion. In the event of a dispute regarding any entry, the entry will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry (i.e. the person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domains associated with the submitted e-mail address).
5.9 CBC, Ross Petty Productions, Procter & Gamble Inc., their affiliates, as well as their respective directors, officers and employees, shall assume no liability whatsoever or any situation in which their inability to act results from an event or situation beyond their control, including a strike, lockout or any other labour dispute at their location or the locations of the organizations and businesses whose services are used to hold this Contest 5.10 All personal information, such as your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and age is collected solely for the purposes of administering this Contest and shall not be used for any other purpose without your consent and is subject to CBC s Privacy Policy www.cbc.ca. By providing this information, you consent to it being used for the stated purposes. 5.11 By entering, contestants agree to abide by the Contest rules which shall be applied by the CBC. All decisions of the Contest Sponsors are final and binding in all aspects. Prize will be awarded and provided to the confirmed winner by CBC. 5.12 This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, municipal and local laws and regulations. 5.13 Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out of pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Contest, but in no event lawyer s fees. Entrant agrees that under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
