Managing North American Title Policy Jacket Transactions in SoftPro 360 How to Submit a Transaction to North American Title North American Title Insurance Company, an underwriter that will issue Title Policy Numbers and Jackets, can be found in the 360 Products menu under Title Services. Double click, or highlight and click on the Submit button to submit an order to this vendor. If you already have ProForm order(s) open, they will be listed in the Order Linking dialog. The current active order will be highlighted and entered in the Selected Order Number field. You have the ability to select from any of these orders, or you may choose to overwrite the Selected Order Number with an order that is not currently open. Click OK to continue. 1.27.11 1
The Welcome screen provides you with basic information about North American Title Insurance Company. You may choose to skip this screen in the future by clicking on the Skip Welcome Screen option. Click Next to continue. The Login Screen requires you to enter your username and password provided to you by North American Title Insurance Company. The Property located in field will populate from the state that is entered in the ProForm Order. This information is required in order to proceed. Click Next to continue. 1.27.11 2
The Policy(s) to be issued Screen will populate the Select Policy Type based on the Policy Type selected in the ProForm Order. The Policy Type drop down will be populated, with the types of policies you are authorized to issue by North American Title Insurance Company for the specific state that this property resides in. All other fields will populate based on the data entered into your ProForm order. You may edit or modify any of these fields. Please note that any data you enter in these screens will not write back to your ProForm order. If you click on the Add Additional Policies button, the Additional Policies screen will appear. If your ProForm order has a 2 nd and/or 3 rd policy being issued, check off the Include box and your ProForm entered data will populate these fields for you. You may also edit or add additional information. Click Save or Cancel to return to the main Policy Data screen. Click the Submit button to submit your transaction to North American Title Insurance Company. 1.27.11 3
Your transaction will be submitted to North American Title Insurance Company. You will be presented with the following Order Status screen. Click OK to continue. Reviewing & Accepting the Transaction from the SoftPro 360 Queue You will now see a transaction in your SoftPro360 Queue with a status of In Progress. When North American Title Insurance Company remits the Policy Jacket(s) and number(s) the transaction will be updated with a status of Ready. You may double click or highlight and click Review to review and accept this transaction. 1.27.11 4
The information returned from North American Title Insurance Company will load on the transaction review screen. To view and accept the information received, select the Policy on the left side of the window; this description will vary depending on the policy type requested. The Replacement Value is the information that has been received from North American Title Insurance Company. You can choose the information that you want to accept into the ProForm Order by checking and un-checking the Selected checkboxes. The selected Replacement Value will overwrite any information that appears as a Current Value. The current value is the current information in the applicable field for that ProForm Order. To view Document(s) returned by North American Title Insurance Company, click on the Documents option in the left window below Title Policies and then choose the View button underneath the View Document column. NOTE: If you have selected a Short Form Policy North American Title Insurance Company will only return a policy number, as no Policy Jackets are associated with a Short Form Policy. Click Accept and the following message will appear. Selecting No will go back to the review screen to allow you to make additional edits, selecting Yes will apply all selected values to the ProForm order. 1.27.11 5
If you select Yes, you will receive the following confirmation. Click OK to continue. The Status of your transaction in the SoftPro 360 Queue will be updated to Completed. The information accepted for your ProForm order will overwrite any existing data in those fields, and your document(s) will be available to you from within your ProForm order via the SPImage icon located on the ProForm Menu bar. Or for Select users the documents will be available by clicking on the Attachments & Documents History link located in the documents tab. 1.27.11 6
