After making one connection in the US and another in Europe, the group will arrive in Rome the following morning. Saturday, March 23: Upon arrival, and after clearing EU Customs & Immigration, you will be met by a local representative and transferred by privately chartered bus to your accommodations, the Hotel Nord Nuova, a 3 star hotel located very near Rome s Termini train station and the city center of Rome. Students will be in double or triple bedded rooms, accompanying staff in single or double rooms, as required. Two meals each day will be provided for all members of the group. After checking in and taking some time to refresh following the trans-atlantic flight, the group will have a welcome meal, followed by a free afternoon for some independent sightseeing and exploration. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Sunday, March 24: After breakfast today the group will use the public transportation system of Rome to get out and see the city. All members of the group will have a travel pass which allows unlimited free access to Rome s buses, trains, and Metro system for a 7 day period. Your tour chaperones will guide the group as you take in all of the sights that make Rome so famous. Dinner and overnight in hotel. Monday, March 25: After breakfast, the group will transfer to the famous Colosseum, an iconic symbol of Imperial Rome. In the afternoon the group will transfer to Vatican City to visit the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter s Basilica.
Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in hotel. Tuesday, March 26: After breakfast at the hotel, check out and transfer the Termini station where you will board a train to Naples. The train ride takes about an hour and a half, and upon arrival your group will be transferred by bus to Sorrento. Along the way you will stop in Pompeii for a visit of the archaeological site there. The group will be accommodated in at the Grand Hotel Flora, located very near the city center. Once again the students will be in double or triple rooms as needed, with staff in single or double rooms. Two meals daily will be provided for all group members while here. The remainder of the afternoon and evening will be free. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Wednesday, March 27: After breakfast you will transfer to the port of Sorrento where you will board the hydrofoil that will take you to Capri. Spend the whole day visiting this beautiful Island and the village of Anacapri which overlooks the island. In the late afternoon return to Sorrento. Dinner and overnight at the Grand Hotel Flora in Sorrento. Thursday, March 28: After breakfast today the group check out of the hotel and travel by bus along the beautiful Amalfi Coast. In the afternoon you will be dropped off at the train station in Naples, and the group will travel back to Rome via train. Arrive back at the Hotel Nord Nuova near Rome s Termini station. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Friday, March 29: Today will be a free day in Rome, to discover and explore at your leisure. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Saturday, March 30 Transfer to Rome s Fiumicino Airport, where you will catch your return flight to the USA.

Please note that price for 2019 will not be available until early 2018, and may be slightly higher than the price noted here. The price noted for the above outline itinerary includes the following: Round trip air fare via regularly scheduled carrier from Cleveland-Rome- Cleveland, as noted. 7 Day travel pass for all travelers, allowing access to public transportation in the city. Accommodations for five nights (March 23-25, March 28-29) as noted in the Hotel Nord Nuova in Rome, two nights (March 26-27) as noted at the Grand Hotel Flora in Sorrento. FINANCIAL INFORMATION Tour Cost: The projected price per traveler for the Kent Roosevelt High School tour of Italy as outlined is $3,100.00. Please note that this price is based on 2018 costs, and 2019 price may higher, depending on variables such as the USD/EUR exchange rate, airline air fare increases and ground operator costs. Final price for this tour will be published no later than April 30, 2018. In order to make this as manageable as possible for you, and also to enable us to make financial commitments on your behalf to our various overseas suppliers, we have devised a schedule of payments which divides this amount equally over the next several months. Deposit: A deposit of $300.00 per traveler will be required to hold and confirm a place on tour. The deposit is due by February15, 2018 and is fully refundable until May15, 2018. After May 15, 2018 the deposit will become 100% non-refundable in the event of withdrawal from the tour. Of course, this deposit will be credited fully towards the cost of your trip. Suggested Payment Schedule: Once the deposit has been received, the remaining balance due will be split into eight equal payments, with the final payment being due by February 15, 2019. Cancellation and Refund Policy: As a general rule, please note that we will always endeavor to refund to any family as much money as is retrievable at the time of cancellation. However, because we are bound by the restrictions imposed upon us by suppliers such as airlines, ground operators, etc., we need to make sure that you also are aware of the cancellation fees involved. If a traveler withdraws from the tour after money has been paid to East-West Global Travel, the following fees will apply: If cancellation is prior to May 15, 2018, all monies paid to East-West Global Travel will be refunded. If cancellation is between May15, 2018 and January 1, 2019, there will be no penalty other than the forfeit of the deposit, which is non-refundable after July 1, 2018. If cancellation is between January 1 and February 15, 2019, all monies paid to East-West Global Travel will be refunded, less the deposit and a $300.00 cancellation fee ($600.00 total per person). If cancellation is after February 15, 2019, no refunds will be available. Trip Cancellation Insurance: All travelers will be covered from the non-refundable amount of their trip cost, including air fare. Details of the group policy are attached to this packet. The final insured amount will be determined after the 2019 prices are published. Responsibility and Liability: The responsibility of East-West Global Travel, the foreign ground operators, tournament organizers, and host organizations is limited. East-West Global Travel acts in the capacity of an agent for the participants in all matters pertaining to the tour, such as (but not limited to) the arrangement of transportation, accommodations, meals, sightseeing, social and cultural activities, and the sports program. East-West Global Travel, its suppliers, foreign tournament organizers and hosting organizations including host clubs are not responsible for any personal injury, illness or death, nor any loss, damage or theft of belongings, nor for any error, accident, delay, deviation or curtailment of any kind caused directly by any actions, omissions, acts of failure by: a) Any person or company retained for the benefit of the participant, including, but not limited to transportation, housing, and tour guides; b) Acts of God, public enemy, arrest or restraint by any government, seizure under legal process, quarantine restrictions, riots of civil commotions, strikes, lockouts or labor stoppages, war hazards or dangers incident to the state of war; c) Any defect or failure to comply with any part of local rules or regulations of any airplane, automobile, motor coach, ship, train, or other vehicle. d) Improper or insufficient passports or other documents. Additional expense incurred under any of these circumstances will be the sole responsibility of the tour participants. General: East-West Global Travel will assume that the responsible tour leader, participants and their parents or legal guardians, are in agreement with the conditions mentioned above, and that all engagements with East-West Global Travel have been undertaken by an authorized person. These conditions are applicable to all agreements between East-West Global Travel and any party.
