Import Feature Users will now be able to upload (Import) a completed Adobe SF424_R&R Subcontract budget directly into the PD record. Advantages: Eliminates most manual data entry of subcontractor budget items. Eliminates the need to do potential reverse calculations to obtain accurate budget data. Significantly reduces the need for last-minute communications between Penn and subcontract administrators to receive budgetary information. Export Feature Export a completed SF424_R&R budget when Penn is a subcontract on a Federal flow-through proposal. Advantages: Creates an Adobe subcontract budget package with accurate and complete budget information for Penn s sponsor (the external entity) to upload to their Adobe package. Can be imported into another InfoEd proposal record by the external sponsor if they use the InfoEd system for S2S proposal submissions. Eliminates the need to duplicate budget information to be sent to Penn s sponsor: No need to create an external Adobe package in addition to entering data into a PD record. Data entry and calculation is simpler and easier in a PD record than in an Adobe package. Can use any budget entry method in PD: No need to use the 424 budget entry method.
