Introduction to the Interface Research Mode covers over 26,000 mutual funds and several hundred data fields. Introduction to the interface From the database dropdown, select an investment type.
Step 1-Select Securities. From the Select dropdown, choose an investment universe. In the Find field, type the ticker or investment name.
Then, click the Add button to add investments to the securities list. Presentation and Sales Step 2-Choosing a Time Period
From the dropdown, select Trailing 3yr. In the lower left hand corner, click Apply to All to apply the same time period to all of the investments.
Step 3-Setting an Initial Investment. You can alter the dollar amounts or shares, or accept the default amount of $10,000. Step 4-Determining Subsequent Investments and Withdrawals. Investments or withdrawals can be assigned following the initial investment.
Step 5-Deducting Plan Fees from the Illustration. Asset-based fees or sales fees can be applied to investments in the scenario. To apply an Annual Fee field, type 1.00, then, click the Apply All button at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
Step 6-Rebalancing or Transferring Investments. You can rebalance or transfer investments in a portfolio, but not both. Step 7-Choosing the Options for the Output Report. On the Report Options page, you can: edit tax information specify whether a benchmark will be included on the report decide how much performance information will be displayed Include other report material such as a customized cover page, Portfolio Snapshot Report, and Investment Detail report. Click Generate Report to view the output report for the hypothetical scenario.
Hypothetical Portfolio Illustration compares the hypothetical report to a benchmark. The Illustration compares returns for the investments in the scenario.
The Portfolio Snapshot displays asset allocation and portfolio information for the scenario. The Presentation and Education Module is a FINRAreviewed library of 20 PowerPoint presentations, PDF brochures, and advisor continuing education material.
Double-click Investor Behavior. The Investor Behavior presentation opens in PowerPoint.
Pre-written speaker notes are available for each slide. You can customize the presentation by adding your company logo. Click View Master Slide Master.
In the left-hand navigation pain, click the Master slide. Click Insert...Picture From File..
Highlight the company logo file, then click Insert. The company log appears in on the Master slide. You can drag and drop it to any location on the slide...
The company logo will now appear for slides in the presentation. Investors Brochures range from three to six pages and address retirement risks for investors. Double-click Longevity Risk.
