Life Happens We Listen ABOUT INSIGHT WEALTH STRATEGIES Insight Wealth Strategies is a comprehensive financial planning firm. Our planners provide objective, strategic, and effective advice to help clients accumulate, retain, and transfer wealth. By applying in-depth planning, proper asset allocation, risk tolerance assessment, modern portfolio theory, and independent investment advice, our planners deliver financial solutions tailored to your needs. In addition to our continued commitment to a disciplined long-term planning process for building your wealth, Insight Wealth Strategies is dedicated to delivering extraordinary customer service.

We Advise YOUR HOPES ARE OUR GOALS You ve made it on paper, at least. You may have done some planning along the way, but as you reflect on how to enjoy your success, you ask yourself, Is it enough? Because you ve realized there are as many different ways to enjoy what you ve built and to pass it along as there are potential missteps that can cripple your dreams. That s why you need a plan one that optimizes your life s work. When you engage our services, you benefit from personal attention and our prodigious financial experience. We take the time to fully understand you, and your family s needs and goals. Then we provide you with the information, advice, and alternatives you will need to make the appropriate decisions about your financial future. We believe that it is not only our responsibility to help you make the most of your income and assets but also to help you make the most of your life.

A PLAN FOR YOUR FUTURE STEP BY STEP Based on experience with our clients, we have developed a finely tuned process that will lead you through the following six stages of financial planning. 1. ENGAGE 2. COLLECT 3. ANALYZE Establish and define the client-advisor relationship We begin by discussing how we can work together to develop and implement your financial plan. We need to understand your financial situation, but we also want to help you define your goals. We start the process by: Discussing your situation Establishing a fee Securing basic documents Gather client data, define goals and establish expectations The more detailed information we obtain, the more customized and accurate your personal financial plan can be. We conduct a comprehensive analysis of your current estate, investment, and business situation. Based on this information, we develop a comprehensive financial condition model of your current situation, including cash flow, tax reduction strategies, and estate distribution projects. Highlights of this stage include: Formalizing our working relationship Gathering appropriate financial data, objectives, and risk tolerances Discussing and establishing goals Discussing attitudes, views, and concerns Process and analyze information to determine financial needs We analyze information gathered from the financial condition model to identify gaps and opportunities between your current financial planning, objectives, and risk tolerance. This helps us determine how close you are to your financial goals with your current strategies. This stage focuses on: Reviewing your data and assessing your status relative to goals, objectives, and attitudes Analyzing and evaluating your current financial status Confirming and clarifying your data Preparing a preliminary financial plan Reviewing preliminary strategies, as needed, and refining recommendations

4. DESIGN 5. IMPLEMENT 6. REVIEW Develop and present financial planning recommendations and/or alternatives Based on your input and our analysis, we offer alternative strategies and identify solutions that are an appropriate fit for your personal situation, and most importantly, are consistent with your objectives. This stage one of the most important in our process because it is where the financial planning takes shape includes: Presenting a financial plan document Answering questions Establishing an action plan Implement the financial plan recommendations We present the specific recommendations in alignment with your needs, and discuss the pros, cons, risks, and costs for each recommended alternative. This helps ensure that you will make an informed decision. Some aspects covered in this stage are: Coordinating with your other advisors Reviewing and recommending specific financial strategies necessary to implement the financial plan Assisting you in implementing the financial plan Review the financial plan recommendations Many factors can impact the viability of your financial plan in the future - a life event, a change in your job or career, unexpected expenses or income, a change in taxes, etc. We meet with you to check the status of the financial plan by comparing actual results to initial assumptions to determine if adjustments need to be made. This final stage of the process centers around: Analyzing ongoing issues Making adjustments as your situation changes Keeping your financial plan updated and current

OUR SERVICES Retirement Planning: The number one reason clients hire us Can I retire? That is the question that most clients ask. The question seems simple enough, however, almost 20 percent of Americans 65 and older are now working, according to the latest data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. 1 So what you really want to know is: When can I retire with the lifestyle I desire? Sometimes retirement planning is about trade-offs; if you retire earlier, will you be able to spend two weeks a year traveling to the far side of the world? If you work longer, will you be able to purchase that vacation home that you ve always wanted? We take the time to get to know you, learn what is important to you and your family, and create a strategic plan to achieve your goals. Using Monte Carlo analysis and other tools we take into account taking income in both up and down market years to determine your probability of success in achieving your retirement goals. With retirement often lasting 30 years or more, outliving savings is a major concern of prospective retirees. Spending time understanding what steps are needed to ensure you are on track to afford a comfortable retirement based on your dreams can reduce the stress and burden that financial problems in retirement can cause. That time may be the best investment you make. 1 http://bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-05-13/-i-ll-never-retire-americans-break-record-for-working-past-65

Investment Planning We rely on the following core principles to help you reach your goals: Asset allocation provides the foundation to managing portfolio risk and volatility Tax efficiency is critical Portfolio expenses must be scrutinized Analysis is essential to investment strategies and money managers Our most important role is to be an objective advocate; our goal is to control costs, be tax efficient, and manage risk. This provides the most effective way of guiding you toward your goals. We leverage the power of technology to drive our disciplined five-step investment process: 1 2 Advice & Planning Portfolio Modeling Analysis & Design INVESTMENT PLANNING Step 1 Advice and planning Step 2 Portfolio modeling, analysis, and design Step 3 Investment policy statement (IPS) development planning 3 4 Development of Investment Policy Statement Implementation, Manager Search & Selection IMPLEMENTATION Implementation takes the IPS one step further by clearly defining the specific investments to be included in the portfolio and proposing how, when, and where they should be incorporated. Our investment management platform offers: 5 Ongoing review, Due Diligence & Reporting* Step 4 Implementation, manager search, and selection Step 5 Ongoing review, due diligence, and reporting* *Available through our investment advisory programs.

Estate/Asset Protection Strategies We strive to provide for a financial sense of security in life and to optimize the estate for heirs following death. We consider: Will and trust design strategies Property ownership alternatives, including the review of titling to coordinate with your overall plan Estate tax reduction techniques Life insurance analysis Qualified plan distribution alternatives Family-gifting strategies Charitable planning Employee stock option analysis Contingency Planning The probability that you or your spouse will require home health care or nursing home assistance, or suffer a disabling injury or illness is greater than you might think. Consider these facts: 70% of people turning age 65 can expect to use some form of long-term care during their lives. 2 50% of people who enter a care situation are penniless within one year. 3 18.6 million Americans suffer medical injuries 4.8 million on the job and 13.8 off the job. 4 An injury occurs every 3 seconds in public places (excluding motor vehicle injuries, which occur every 7 seconds). 4 If you have assets to preserve, then long-term care insurance and disability income insurance should be considered, because protecting against these potentially catastrophic costs is an essential part of astute financial planning. Business Owner Planning Small businesses are central to the U.S. economy. The 28 million small businesses in the United States employ about half (56.1 million) of the nation s private workforce. 5 Only 40% of these businesses survive to the fourth year or beyond. 6 The reasons are varied, but include family conflict, failure to design a proper succession plan, and federal estate taxes. To avoid a similar fate, business owners need a plan. We can help you structure and implement a plan to guide you toward your objectives in the following areas: Business succession planning, which may include dispositions during life and at death Executive compensation plans Employee group benefits: medical, disability, and retirement 2 Medicare and You 2015, www.medicare.gov, 2015. 3 Some Thought-Provoking Long-Term Care Statistics, www.prepsmart.com, cited as of 7/28/2015 4 National Safety Council, Injury Facts, 2015 Section 5 Unites States Small Business Profile, U.S. Small Business Administration, www.sba.gov/sites/default/files/advocacy/faq_march_2014_0.pdf, 2014 6 Facts About the Family Business, Center for Family Business, www.business.fullerton.edu/center/familybusiness/#facts,cites as of 7/28/2015

PUTTING THE WHOLE PICTURE TOGETHER We put the emphasis on you and your needs not on a prepackaged set of solutions or ideas and are committed to providing you with the information you need to make timely, informed decisions about your financial future. The benefits of this approach are quickly apparent: you enjoy a greater understanding of the impact of various options and are better positioned to make the appropriate decisions for yourself and your family. Here are other value-added benefits when you retain our services: A Model Approach Effective financial planning is only possible with the help of good modeling. We use leading-edge software that allows us to create an individualized financial condition model that: Addresses your needs and objectives in a way that fully takes into account the long-term impact of taxation, inflation, and each of the financial strategies you have already implemented or plan to implement Projects your annual cash flow income and expenses and your asset growth over the full length of your life expectancy Estimates, at various points in time, the size of your net worth, your savings and investments, and your estate This sophisticated modeling helps us determine the adequacy of your current financial situation. It shows how a given financial planning strategy that you have already implemented or are considering compares to other available strategies. It also demonstrates what may happen to your current financial plan if you should experience significant changes in your personal or family situation, taxes, inflation, or investment returns. Coordination of Services Many of our clients have trusted, long-term advisors perhaps an attorney, a CPA or both who have done some of their financial planning work (wills, trusts, business agreements, retirement plans, etc). Our work supplements and coordinates the services these advisors provide. While each of your existing advisors is a focused specialist, we look at the various pieces of your financial picture and put them together by using a cross-disciplinary approach to help you towards your objectives. We also work closely with your other advisors to ensure that the alternatives you choose complement any existing business, estate tax, or investment strategies. National Resources While we manage the financial planning process, we also have access to additional support from local and national teams of specialists. This business model affords us a high degree of independence, while providing access to specific technical assistance and abundant intellectual capital that ensures you will receive consistent, high-quality support and outstanding thought leadership. Follow Through Our relationship doesn t end once you implement your financial plan. Because your personal situation and objectives are not static, the plan you develop today will rarely meet all of your needs in the future. By periodically meeting with you, we will analyze any changes in your financial situation of objectives, evaluate their impact on your current financial plan, and recommend alternatives as necessary. This often-ignored step is critical to help ensure the long-term benefit of the financial planning process for you and your family.

IT S TIME TO TAKE CONTROL In today s information-driven world, there are many resources that can help you understand your financial situation: newspapers, magazines, television, radio, the internet even your friends and family. How do you make sense of all of the noise? How do you reconcile opposing opinions and know which one is most appropriate for you? And how do you best accumulate and protect your wealth when you re confronted with too much information? You don t have to, that s our job. We can help you identify opportunities, help you avoid pitfalls and acting in your best interest provide comprehensive strategies that will help meet your personal financial needs. Not only do people who work with advisors have a better understanding of the importance of wealth protection, they re also more likely to be better prepared to meet their financial futures. When you retain our services, you enter into a relationship founded on a commitment to collaborate with you and serve your personal financial needs above all. We will take the time to fully understand you, your goals and aspirations and make appropriate decisions and recommendations using a dynamic financial planning process.
