Welcome to Admiral s Goods and Tools Cover This booklet describes your contract for Goods and Tools Cover. Please read it carefully along with your current Policy Schedule. This is important, as the agreement to insure you is based on this information. This policy meets the demands and needs of persons wishing to ensure that their tools, materials or stock are covered in the event of a road traffic collision, fire, theft or attempted theft. As with any insurance, it does not cover all situations and you should read the terms and conditions of this policy to make sure that it meets your specific needs. Admiral does not make personal recommendations as to the suitability of the policy to individual circumstances. You are solely responsible for deciding whether the policy is suitable for your needs. Goods and Tools i Policy Summary This Policy Summary does not contain full terms and conditions of the cover, which can be found in the Policy Document. It is important that you read the Policy Document which follows this Policy Summary. Who the cover is underwritten by Admiral Insurance (Gibraltar) Limited. Type of insurance and cover Goods and Tools cover provides cover for tools, materials or stock stored in the associated vehicle in the event of a road traffic collision, fire, theft or attempted theft. Significant features and benefits Covers tools, materials and stock if: y damaged as a result of a road traffic accident y damaged as a result of theft or attempted theft y fire Cover for up to 1000, 2000, 4000 or 6000, (dependant on the premium paid), for each claim during the period of insurance. Significant or unusual exclusions and limitations The significant and unusual limitations or exclusions of the policy are: y Provide proof of purchase or hire for any property in the event of a claim (Section 5) y All tools claims that cannot be repaired will be valued at today s market value and subject to the following deductions based on age (Section 2) Time period 0-11 months 12-23 months 24-35 months 36-47 months 48 months and over Deduction 10% 20% 30% 40% 50%

Certain property is not covered under this policy, for example money, credit cards, documents or business records, laptops, tablets, mobile telephones, games consoles and televisions. For full list of excluded property please see Section 3.1 of the policy document. We shall not pay any claim for property, which is stolen or damaged by an attempted theft from an unsecured, unattended vehicle. (Section 3.2). We will not pay for property y unless the incident is recorded on your associated motor policy (Section 3.3 a) y if you fail to comply with any of the terms or conditions of the associated motor policy (Section 3.3 b) y if not being stored or transported in an appropriate manner (Section 3.3 c) y carried by you under a contract of hire or reward, handling or storage (Section 3.3 d) y whilst it is being driven under its own motive power or towed on its own wheels (Section 3.3 e) y that has suffered a mechanical, electrical or electronic breakdown or failure (Section 3.3 f) y that is damaged or destroyed by or arising from depreciation, deterioration, mildew, mould, moth, vermin, ordinary wear and tear or any characteristic of the property which in itself causes or gives rise to loss or damage irrespective of any other cause (Section 3.3 g) y that has pre-existing damage or has been damaged by wear and tear, unless additional damage is caused during an incident in the associated vehicle (Section 3.3 h) y if insured elsewhere (Section 3.3 i) y if you fail to provide us with the information we need (Section 3.3 j) Each claim will be subject to an excess of 100 (Section 5).

Duration of the cover From the date Goods and Tools cover was added to the associated policy until its renewal or cancellation, up to a maximum of twelve months. As long as the policyholder remains eligible, this policy will automatically renew with the associated motor policy unless you inform EUI Limited otherwise. Cancellation You may cancel this product and receive a full refund, subject to you not making a claim, if you inform us within 14 days from the receipt of the confirmation letter or email. Should you cancel outside the 14 day cancellation period, you will be charged on a daily pro rata basis for the time you have been on cover, plus a 5 cancellation charge. However, if a claim is made or has arisen during the period of insurance, the full premium is payable and no refund will be given. In the event that you downgrade your cover limit you will not be issued a refund. For further information on cancellation please refer to the section in the policy wording headed Section 6. If you have complained to us and we have been unable to resolve your complaint, you are entitled to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service. Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) Admiral Insurance (Gibraltar) Limited is covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). You may be entitled to compensation if Admiral Insurance (Gibraltar) Limited is unable to meet its obligations to you under this contract. We are confident our friendly, fast and efficient service will ensure you remain a satisfied customer now and for years to come. This policy document sets out the details of your insurance cover. Please read this policy carefully. Your policy Whenever a word appears in this policy document and is defined in Section 1: Definitions, it takes on that special meaning. This policy document sets out the details of your insurance cover, please read this policy carefully. Section 1: Definitions Associated vehicle The vehicle (including any attached trailer) that appears on the associated motor policy arranged by EUI Limited. Associated motor policy The motor insurance policy arranged by EUI Limited which covers the associated vehicle. Employee Any person under a contract of employment or any self-employed person providing you with labour only or any person hired to you including those provided by employment agencies on a temporary basis. EUI Limited Admiral is a trading name of EUI Limited. Insured event Fire, theft or damage to property.
Goods and Tools 3 About your Goods and Tools Cover (cont.) Excess The amount you must pay towards any claim under this policy. EUI Limited will not be responsible to you for the excess under any circumstances. Goods Stock, merchandise or provisions owned by you or for which you are responsible for in connection with your business. Period of insurance The length of time covered by this insurance. Property Goods and Tools. Territorial limits Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands, including travel between any of these. Tools Hand tools, power tools, plant, machinery, equipment, consumables, spare parts or similar items owned by you for which you are responsible for and used by you or any employee in connection with your business. Total sum insured 1,000, 2,000, 4,000 or 6,000 (depending on premium paid) is the maximum amount we will pay for any claim or series of claims arising from the same insured event. We, Us, Our EUI Limited trading as Admiral and/or the underwriters. You, Your, Policyholder The person named as the policyholder on the associated motor policy.

Section 2: What is covered You will be covered up to the total sum insured for property that is damaged as a result of a road traffic accident in the associated vehicle. You are also covered for any damage to property caused by fire, theft or attempted theft. What we will pay We will decide how to settle your claim and will pay one of the following: y the replacement value if beyond economic repair y the cost to replace the part of the property which is damaged y the cost of repairing the property For the replacement value of tools your settlement will be reduced by the percentage shown in the table below. The time period shall be calculated from the date you purchased such tools to the date of the insured event. Time period 0-11 months 12-23 months 24-35 months 36-47 months 48 months and over Deduction 10% 20% 30% 40% 50% The maximum we will pay for each insured event is the total sum insured. Section 3: What is not covered 1. The following property is not covered: a. Money, credit or debit cards, stamps, tickets, vouchers, securities or anything of a similar nature. b. Documents or business records (including those stored electronically). c. Computer hardware and components of a similar nature designed to be used in or in connection with a computer or other device; but not when fitted in such a device. d. Laptops, tablets and similar portable computer equipment.

Mobile telephones, electronic organisers, digital cameras or other electronic devices which are designed for recording, storage, management, processing, use, display, playing, transmission or communication of data, images or sound. f. Satellite navigation equipment, games consoles or televisions. 2. We shall not pay any claim for property, which was stolen or damaged by an attempted theft from an unattended vehicle, where: a. The property was in the open cargo area of the associated vehicle, unless it was stored in a tool box or chest which was permanently fixed to the associated vehicle and was securely locked and keys removed. b. The doors, windows or other openings were left open or unlocked or the keys not removed. c. The associated vehicle was left at any location other than the address shown as the main location of the associated motor policy for any period exceeding 24 consecutive hours; unless at the time of the theft the associated vehicle was garaged in a building that was securely closed and locked. 3. We will not pay for property: a. Unless we are notified of an incident and it is recorded against the associated motor policy. b. If you fail to comply with any of the terms or conditions of the associated motor policy. c. That is damaged or destroyed as a result of packing which was inadequate to withstand transit or was carried in an unsafe, insecure or illegal condition or manner. d. Carried by you under a contract of hire or reward, handling or storage. e. Whilst it is being driven under its own motive power or towed on its own wheels. f. That has suffered a mechanical, electrical or electronic breakdown or failure unless external damage to that property has occurred and such damage is covered under this policy. g. That is damaged or destroyed by or arising from depreciation, deterioration, mildew, mould, moth, vermin, ordinary wear and tear or any characteristic of the property which in itself causes or gives rise to loss or damage irrespective of any other cause.

That has pre-existing damage or has been damaged by wear and tear, unless additional damage is caused during an incident in the associated vehicle. i. Which is covered under any other insurance except in respect of any excess beyond the amount which would have been covered under such other insurance had this policy not been effected. j. If you fail to provide us with the information we need. Section 4: Conditions of your policy 1. Care of your vehicle and property a. You or any person covered by the policy must: y protect the associated vehicle and property from loss or damage y make sure the associated vehicle is roadworthy ensure y the associated vehicle has a current MOT certificate if applicable allow y us to inspect the associated vehicle at any reasonable time we ask y remove the keys or secure any device that allows access to the associated vehicle; if it is left unattended b. If an incident happens, and you or any person covered by this policy fails to protect the associated vehicle or property from loss or damage through y the inappropriate conduct of the driver; or y the condition of the associated vehicle, caused or contributed to the accident; or y the associated vehicle being left unlocked or unsecured 2. Notification to the police You must notify the police as soon as you become aware of any malicious damage, theft or attempted theft and obtain a crime reference number.

If you are at all unsure as to whether or not a claim can be made, please speak to us, we will be happy to help you. Alternatively you can contact us via email PUClaims@admiralgroup.co.uk. Step 2 - The claims procedure Claims procedure If there is an incident involving the associated vehicle please call us immediately on 0333 234 0012. Also you must: y Immediately report to the police any claim involving malicious damage, theft or deliberate fire or when the associated vehicle is taken without your consent, and obtain a crime reference number Give y us all the information about the claim that we need y For all claims, provide proof of purchase, invoice or hire for the property you are claiming for y Pay an excess of 100 for each and every claim Failure to comply with the above could result in the claim being refused and/or your policy being cancelled. IMPORTANT If you are having difficulty acquiring the evidence required, please contact us to discuss your options, if evidence is not provided it will result in us closing down the claim. The cost of providing proof of your claim is your responsibility.

The day and time your associated motor policy ends. b. Your associated motor policy is declared void or ceases to be in force for any reason. a. Your rights You may cancel this product and receive a full refund, if you inform us within 14 days from receipt of the confirmation letter or email. Our rights We may cancel this policy at any time by sending 7 days notice in writing to your last known address if: y you are in breach of any of the conditions this policy or the associated motor policy y you fail to respond to written requests for further information or documentation If your associated motor policy is cancelled, this product will also be cancelled. If we cancel your policy, you will be charged on a daily pro rata basis for the time you have had on cover plus a 5 cancellation charge. If you or anyone acting for you recklessly or deliberately misrepresents information we require at any time during the policy that would impact either the terms and conditions or our ability to offer cover itself, your policy and all other policies to which you are connected through EUI Limited will be cancelled or voided and no refund will be given.

However, there may be occasions when you feel that this objective has not been achieved. Governing law and language This insurance shall be subject to English Law, unless specifically agreed to the contrary. All communication is to be conducted in English. Assignment and surrender value You cannot transfer your rights or interests in this policy to any other person. This policy will not have any value at the end date or if it is cancelled.

Rights of third parties This agreement is made for the benefit of the parties to it and is not intended to benefit, or be enforceable by, any other person in accordance with the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise. Rights of recovery Upon conclusion of a claim under this policy, we can take over and if necessary conduct proceedings in your name to recover any amount paid from the responsible party. Providers and suppliers This policy is arranged and administered by EUI Limited, Ty Admiral, David Street, Cardiff CF10 2EH and is underwritten by Admiral Insurance (Gibraltar) Limited, 1st Floor, 24 College Lane, PO Box 575, Gibraltar GX11 1AA. EUI Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (Registration No. 309378). Admiral Insurance (Gibraltar) Limited is licensed and regulated by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission under the Financial Services (Insurance Companies) Act 1987 of Gibraltar. The Financial Services Compensation Scheme We are members of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. If we are unable to meet our obligations you may be entitled to compensation from the scheme, depending on the type of insurance and circumstances of the claim. Cover for the claim or policy is provided at 90%. You can get more information about the compensation scheme arrangements from the FSCS.
