It includes three multiple choice questions and two long questions. The company is involved in buying and selling air conditioners. During the month of March 2014, the company entered into the following transactions: (i) (ii) Paid electricity bills amounting to 32,500. Bought stationery from a registered supplier amounting to 106,500. (iii) Sold air conditioners to the University at a value of 365,000. (iv) Paid for the company s phone bill amounting to 18,500. (v) Purchased air conditioners for resale from a registered manufacturer at a cost of 300,000. All transactions are stated exclusive of VAT. The VAT return for the month of March 2014 was only submitted on 20 May 2014, together with the return for February 2014 which had an amount payable of 45,000.
