It includes more than 65 databases and is tailored to the needs of academic research in its search capabilities and output. MEMIS includes data on more than 20 countries in emerging markets. Singapore Exchange (SGX) is Asia-Pacific's first demutualised and integrated securities and derivatives exchange. SGX was inaugurated on December 1999, following the merger of two established and well-respected financial institutions - the Stock Exchange of Singapore (SES) and the Singapore International Monetary Exchange (SIMEX). Corporate Governance Singapore has a corporate governance committee which sets up the code of corporate governance for Singapore s companies. This code will be adopted as part of Listing Manual that mainly consist of board matters, remuneration matters, accountability and audits, and communication with shareholders.
