Message from CEO: Randy Theilig Members Choice Credit Union Members, It is my honor and privilege to present to you the Members Choice Credit Union s 2017 Calendar Year Annual Report. I m proud of the direction Members Choice Credit Union is moving and continues to move forward for each of you, our members, as outlined in this Annual Report. 2017 was a good year for Members Choice Credit Union, a year of growth and change. The new building along Katy Freeway is a perfect representation of both. Members Choice is committed to maintaining a strong financial condition. Asset, loan and deposit growth exceeded our expectations, which is covered in detail in the Treasurer s message and Financial Statement. Members Choice continues to develop and update our products and services to meet your needs. We provide special offers on our products regularly to you, and evaluate and develop products and services that offer you the latest in banking technologies. Members Choice is committed to making our communities a better place to live and work through personal leadership, fundraising and volunteerism. MCCU staff completed a total of 781 volunteer hours in our communities through the organization s volunteer efforts. Hurricane Harvey brought not only Members Choice together, but the entire Houston area. Our volunteerism and community efforts expanded due to Harvey, including the beginning of our new community program, Members Choice C.A.R.E.S. (Community. Action. Relationship. Empowerment. Service). I m proud of our MCCU staff s community development and volunteer efforts, outlined in more detail within this report. Thank you for your continued support of Members Choice Credit Union. Together we stand Strong! Sincerely, Randy Theilig CEO 4

Additionally, we ended the year with nearly $600 million in total assets and over $400 million in total loans. All of these measures were records for the credit union. Members Choice Credit Union: 2017 in Review Members Choice Credit Union is a full-service financial institution based in Houston, Texas. We have been in business for over 76 years. Our rich history is directly related to our financial stability and our dedication to serving the needs of our members, first and foremost. Since our founding in 1941, we have operated with the people-helping-people philosophy on which all credit unions are founded. That philosophy has served us and our members extremely well. At Members Choice, we strive to exceed the expectations of our staff, our members and our communities. 2017 was an interesting year for the Houston area from winning the World Series to the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. Both events brought the Greater Houston area together, but Harvey brought out the best in us, including Members Choice. It even expanded our philosophy into a program, Members Choice C.A.R.E.S. (Community*Action*Relationship*Empowerment*Service) During 2017, Members Choice Credit Union increased its volunteer hours by over 100 hours more than in 2016, completing 781 Total Volunteer Hours. These hours were completed by Members Choice staff through volunteer opportunities offered by the Credit Union, and does not reflect the many other hours completed personally by our caring staff. We truly believe in the People Helping People philosophy. Here s an outline of some of our 2017 events and volunteer opportunities.
