INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS Receipt and Opening of Bids The invites bids on the forms attached for the 2017 Boiler Replacement. The will accept sealed bids until 10:00 am on Monday, October 2, 2017 at the Nash Recreation Center, 304 South Fifth Street, PO Box 237, Oregon, IL 61061. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud at the Nash Recreation Center. The bid envelope must be sealed and addressed to Brian Beckman, Superintendent of Environmental Services, and include the following information: - Name of Bidder - Bidder s Address - Date and Time of Bid Opening - Bid Enclosed: 2017 Boiler Replacement Qualifications of Bidders The may investigate the Bidders ability to supply the necessary equipment, and the Bidder shall furnish all such information and data for the purpose as requested. The reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such Bidder fails to satisfy the District. Compliance with Laws Bidders shall at all times observe and comply with all laws, ordinances, and codes of the Park District and all federal, state, and local governments and other government agencies which may in any manner affect the preparation of Bids and Proposals or the performance of this Contract. Insurance Coverage & Requirements The contractor must obtain/acquire the following coverage s: - Certificate of Commercial / General Liability Insurance - Workers Compensation and Liability Insurance - Abide by the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act for Ogle County - Abide by the Illinois Preference Act - Provide the with Certified Payroll Damages to Property The contractor shall be responsible for any damage to properties caused by the acts of their work in the course of performance of this contract and shall replace or restore to its original condition any such damaged property at no cost to the. The shall be held harmless for all liability under the Scope of Work of this contract. Time of Completion and Penalties Work shall begin no later than 30 days after a contract has been signed. Payment Once the contractor has finished the project work, the contractor shall notify the Park District that the work is ready for final inspection. The final payment will not be released until the Park District receives all required documentation to include the projects certified payroll.
Scope of Work The contractor will enter into a contract with the for the following Boiler Replacement Project. The contractor must provide all necessary labor, material and equipment, and must dispose of all materials. Base Bid Replacement of current Aerco KC1000 Boiler - Removal of and disposal of current Aerco Boiler - Installation of new Aerco BMK 1000 Boiler o Boiler shall be installed only by a factory authorized and trained technician. Proof of factory authorization is required. - Startup of boiler and synchronization with existing boilers and controls - Minimum of 1-year warranty on all parts and workmanship. Field Measurements The contractor is responsible for confirming the field measurements of each location included in this bid to include entry/exit of new and old equipment. Pre-Bid Meeting A pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 19 th at 10:00am. Minutes of this meeting will be available to all bidders. This meeting will take place at the Blackhawk Center, 1101 Jefferson Ave, Oregon, IL 61061.
