Step 1: Go the the Lakeland Home Page found here: http://info.lakelandregional.org/pages/home.aspx Click on myworkplace Step 2: In the left hand margin, scroll down to mybenefits/ Payroll and click on the link.
Step 3 Log Into Employee Self Service Login using your system User Name and Password If you are a new team member, your login ID and initial password would have been emailed to you.
Step 4 Getting To The Direct Deposit Screen Select the Payroll tab and click on Direct Deposit. Step 5 Adding A New Account To add a new account, click the Add button.
Step 6 Locating Your Bank Routing Number Every bank has a unique routing number. Your routing number identifies the location where your account was opened. Look carefully at one of your checking account checks or savings account information. It is important that you carefully match the routing number to the bank name and routing number found in the list in Employee Self Service. Note: If you do not use checks from your bank, please use official communication from your bank that notes your checking or savings routing number and account number to ensure accuracy.
Step 6 - Identify the first nine numbers. All routing numbers are nine numbers. The first nine numbers in the lower, lefthand part of your check after the MICR character is your routing number. Be sure to exclude any preceding MICR characters when determining your routing number. Important Note: Please do not reference deposit slips for this information as the numbers may differ. You must reference an actual check to make sure you are entering the correct banking information. Ignore These Symbols Look for an icon on the check. The icon is a character is from the BankerScriber MICR font. It's unintelligible and is not part of the routing number.
Step 7: Select Your Bank And Routing Number Now that you have identified your bank routing number, find your bank name and routing number in the pull down Bank listing. Please be careful to exactly match your bank name and routing number. Some banks are listed multiple times so matching the routing number on your check to the bank name is critical. Note: Only 8 digits of your bank s 9 digit routing number appears in the field. This is normal and will not affect your ability to get paid. (Payroll is not responsible for errors made when you are entering information.) If your bank is not listed, please contact Sheila Dodd at SDodd@lakelandhealth.org or 269.428.2644.
Step 8: Select The Account Type Select Checking or Savings from the Account Type pull down menu.
Step 9: Enter The Account Number Enter the account number for your checking or savings account number in the account number field. If your bank account number begins with a series of zeros (0), please input all of the zeros into the account number field and do not skip over them. Verify and cross check this number very carefully. (Payroll is not responsible for errors made when you are entering information. Any errors made will be corrected in the next payroll cycle.) Note: If you do not use checks from your bank, please use official communication from your bank that notes your checking or savings routing number and account number to ensure accuracy. Verify that these numbers match.
Step 10: Select the Amount or Percent Going To This Account You may enter up to 5 different account numbers where you want your paycheck to be distributed. Please note that the order in which you enter your bank accounts in the way in which they will come out of your check. Step If Using Dollar Amount Step If Using Percent Amount 1 Add Bank 1 Add Bank 2 Select Account Type Checking or Savings 2 Select Account Type Checking or Savings 3 Add Account Number 3 Add Account Number 4 In Amount Field, add dollar amount 4 In Amount Field, add percent amount 5 In Amount Type Field, select Dollars 5 In Amount Type Field, select Percent 6 Repeat for next account 6 Repeat for next account 7 In final account entry, choose Amount Type Percent and choose 100 7 In final account entry, choose Amount Type Percent and choose 100 Note: 100 and Percent must always be the last field which indicates that 100% of the balance will go to that final selected account. Example: If you have a paycheck and every pay week you want $20 going into your savings account and the remainder to your checking account select: 1. The bank for savings account 2. Savings for account type 3. 20 for amount 4. Dollars for amount type and save 5. The bank for checking account 6. Checking for account type 7. 100 for amount 8. Percent for amount type and save
Step 11: Save Your Banking Information Click Apply in the top right hand corner to save your banking information.
Step 12: Select an Effective Date Choose an effective date. For new hires: Choose your date of hire For current team members: Use the date you are making the entry. If you need the change for the upcoming pay period, it must be submitted by the Friday prior to payroll. Click OK when your date has been chosen. Click Apply Repeat steps until all bank accounts have been added.
Step 13: Save Your Entries After all of your account information has been entered and effective date chosen, select Save in the top right hand corner. If your changes were dated in the future, you will see this message and click on the arrow to see your future changes.

How To Edit My Direct Deposit Banking Information Editing Your Entries You may edit your current or future dated entries at any time by highlighting the account you wish to edit and then selecting Edit on the top menu bar. 2 1 Editing Your Entries You may now edit any information about this bank account. You may deactivate an account by changing the status to Inactive.
Timing of Changes All changes need to be made the Friday prior to pay week for the changes to take effect on your next paycheck. If your account change is made during payroll week, the change will take effect in the next payroll cycle.
