International Petroleum Exploration and Production Business Management Program Houston, TX USA March 2 7, 2008
Welcome Renato T. Bertani President and CEO Thompson & Knight Global Energy Services, LLC 333 Clay Street, Suite 3300 Houston, TX 77002 USA +1.713.653.8747 direct dial +1.832.397.8230 fax Renato.Bertani@tkges.com The petroleum industry is facing its biggest challenge since the first time oil flowed from a well drilled in Pennsylvania, USA in 1859. As professionals, we must find, develop, and produce increasing volumes of oil and gas to ensure sustainable development of the world s growing economy. The challenges are vast, but so are the opportunities. While technological advances and the new energy market make it possible to successfully and profitably explore for oil and gas in ever more difficult and remote provinces, organizations must also meet the requirements of all stakeholders involved: shareholders, employees, communities, local governments, agencies, and regulatory bodies. In this increasingly complex game, the winners will be the organizations with superior management who embrace a global vision and multidisciplinary approach to planning and execution. As President and CEO of Thompson & Knight Global Energy Services, LLC, I am proud to offer a five-day program designed to provide professionals engaged in the petroleum industry with a better understanding of energy industry trends, risks, uncertainties, and opportunities in order to improve their decision-making skills and create value for stock holders. It will be a learning and international networking experience that you will not forget. I hope to see you there! Renato T. Bertani President and CEO, Thompson & Knight Global Energy Services, LLC
