Introduction Welcome to your new AMP SMSF Administration Fund Dashboard. The new dashboard is the central control hub for all of your SMSF administration. You can access the dashboard through a range of devices including your computer, tablet or smartphone. From the dashboard you can: obtain an overview of your SMSF monitor your SMSF investment strategy track the status of your ongoing administration track contribution and pension records manage outstanding tasks and alerts request key SMSF services, including: pension establishment binding death benefit nominations lump sum withdrawals rollovers access tax return lodgement status add additional services to your fund upload, store and view documents, and produce downloads and view a number of reports. From the dashboard you can manage all administration aspects of your SMSF. 3
Fund record Your fund dashboard is a powerful tool. It allows you to see the fund investments and all of the important items you need to manage your fund from the one place. When you login you will immediately see a snapshot of your SMSF, including details of: latest valuation of the fund assets a breakup of each member s share of the fund a list of administration matters that need to be attended to. Members overview The Members tab provides an overview of the member accounts. In the overview tab you can find the following information: the current balance of all members accounts the total contributions received for each member together with the balance of the remaining contribution caps the total of pension payments taken to date together with the balance that must be taken before the end of the financial year. Member s overview For ease of reference, client s age is shown right next to the name 5
Members selected member From the Members tab you can see additional information for selected members. For the selected member you can view: a summary of the member s balance across all accounts the preservation status of the member s accounts the tax components of the member s accounts a history of the member s contributions. From this same screen you can change member s contact details and add or change the member s binding death benefit nomination. Contributions For a quick snapshot of member contributions you can select the Contributions tab. This displays the current year s contributions and a summary of any historic contributions. Contributions 7
Pensions The Pensions menu summarises the pension information for each member. It includes the following for each pension: start date of pension initial purchase price of the pension (see Start Value) tax-free percentage of the pension reversionary beneficiary of the pension a list of pension payments for the current financial year minimum/maximum pension calculation a summary of pension payments for previous financial years. Withdrawals Withdrawals refer to lump sum payments from the fund. This screen will list details of any lump sum payments taken from the member s accounts, together with the unused low rate cap amount for each member. The low rate cap amount will not take into account amounts withdrawn from other superannuation funds. Withdrawals 9
Investments This screen lists the current assets at their market value for the fund. Investments 10
Strategy The investment strategy provides pictorial representation of your fund s investment strategy. Hovering over the diamonds in each asset class will list the individual assets within that asset class. Where the fund s existing asset allocation falls outside the current strategy, this will be highlighted. If you find your fund is out of strategy, you can bring it back into strategy by either changing your investment mix or adjusting your strategy. The change investment link will direct the user back to the fund investment page where the trustee can review their investments. The change strategy link will open a form where you can adjust the strategy. Strategy 11
Tax returns From this menu the you can monitor the progress of the current year s end of year administration. In addition, you can download copies of financial statements, signed accounts and audit reports. Tax returns 12
Communications The dashboard is our core communication tool for your fund. From the dashboard you can view outstanding tasks, view and upload documents. The communications page provides a summary of how AMP SMSF Administration will communicate with you. Our preference is to communicate electronically whenever possible. The communications menu lists the fund preferred communication methods. The default setting is via a task on the dashboard. The default settings can be changed, however please note that these are subject to the service offer of the fund. This page also lists preferences for Alerts. Alerts inform the fund when certain events are approaching or are overdue. Alerts include reminders to pay a pension or warnings when a member may be approaching or has exceeded a contribution cap. Communications 13
Tasks Tasks are typically requests for additional information or requests for documents to be reviewed and/or executed by the trustees. When actioning a task you can view any documents attached to the task, and also upload supporting documents. Actioning tasks in a timely manner will ensure that your fund administration can be kept up to date. Outstanding tasks are visible on the main fund record screen, and they are normally actioned from there. The tasks screen also allows you to view tasks you have previously actioned (In-Progress and Completed). Tasks 14
Documents Documents is a library of documents that AMP SMSF Administration has stored for a fund. We store a wide range of documents including: fund trust deeds, minutes, pension agreements such as binding death benefit nominations fund transaction records such as bank statements, contract notes, end of financial year documents and tax statements any correspondence from adviser, client, Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) This screen enables the user to search for documents and view, download or upload documents to the document library. Phone calls Our administration will record notes on phone communications for the fund. The administrator s notes are saved and can be reviewed here. Phone calls 16
Connected Services Connected Services links you to product and service providers who can help you optimise your SMSF. Connected Services lets you: access a range of product and service providers via your dashboard login to your selected product and service directly from your dashboard speed up the application process by prefilling application forms track up-to-date investment record by automatically integrating selected Connected Services providers electronic transaction data into your SMSF dashboard. Services The Services menu lists the services that: a fund is currently subscribed to are currently on order Additional Fund Administration & Administration services can be added from this screen. Financial Products & Services can be added via Connected Services. Services 18
Requests The Requests screen enables you to notify your administrator of changes you have made or want to make to your fund, and track the progress of a request. Over the life of your fund, you are likely to need to make many requests eg pension setups, lump sum withdrawals, rollovers, change contact details, death benefit nominations, change communication preferences. To request an item, simply select it and follow the prompts on the e-form. Requests 19
Reports The Reports menu supplements information provided on the Members and Investments menus. You can view, or download a number of static investment reports or create a report suite. The report suite can be created through our snapshot report function. This enables you to select the reports you wish to generate. Select the order of printing and save your report preferences.
