important changes to your Westpac Altitude Rewards terms and conditions Effective 17 June 2013

Effective from 17 June 2013, we re introducing some changes to the Altitude Rewards program. These changes will affect how you earn points on your card account starting from your next statement cycle commencing on or after 17 June 2013. The changes to the Westpac Altitude Rewards Terms and Conditions (Altitude Rewards Terms) and the Private Bank Altitude Platinum Plus Rewards Terms and Conditions Altitude Rewards (Private Bank Rewards Terms) (together Rewards Terms and Conditions) are set out below. Please read these changes together with the Terms and Conditions applying to your card. a) In Altitude Rewards Terms delete the entire Clause 3 and in the Private Bank Rewards Terms delete the entire Clause 4. b) In the Altitude Rewards Terms insert a new clause 3.1: 3. How do you earn points? 3.1 For Altitude, Altitude Platinum and Altitude Platinum Plus card accounts: 3.1.1 Points earned on purchases posted to your card account in any statement cycle commencing before or on 16 June 2013: The points are calculated on the number of Australian dollars posted to the card account in connection with purchases of goods or services (including any GST payable in respect of the goods or services) from merchants accepting your card. The number of points you can earn on your card account is uncapped. You earn points on the following basis: 2 ll ll Altitude and Altitude Platinum Accounts: 1 point for each $1.00 you spend on purchases using your Altitude or Altitude Platinum Visa or MasterCard, and 2 points for each $1.00 you spend on purchases using your Altitude or Altitude Platinum American Express Card. Altitude Platinum Plus Accounts: 1 point for each $1.00 you spend on purchases using your Altitude Platinum Plus Visa or MasterCard, and 3 points for each $1.00 you spend on purchases using your Altitude Platinum Plus American Express Card. 3.1.2 Points earned on purchases posted to your card account in any statement cycle commencing on or after 17 June 2013: For each statement cycle commencing on or after 17 June 2013, points are calculated on the number of Australian dollars posted to the card account in connection

with purchases of goods or services (including any GST payable in respect of the goods or services) from merchants accepting your card until the number of points earned reaches your card account s points cap. Altitude Accounts: Points earn rates per statement cycle up to a total of 5,000 points 1 point per $1.00 you spend Altitude Visa or MasterCard 2 points per $1.00 you spend Altitude American Express Altitude Platinum Accounts: Points earn rates per statement cycle up to a total of 7,500 points 1 point per $1.00 you spend Altitude Platinum Visa or MasterCard 2 points per $1.00 you spend Altitude Platinum American Express Altitude Platinum Plus Accounts: Points earn rates per statement cycle up to a total of 7,500 points 1 point per $1.00 you spend Altitude Platinum Plus Visa or MasterCard 3 points per $1.00 you spend on purchases using your Altitude Platinum Plus American Express Points will no longer accrue when the relevant points cap is reached in any statement cycle. If you (or an additional cardholder) return any goods or services purchased with the card, or your card account is credited in connection with a disputed transaction, this may result in points being debited from your points record. The number of points deducted from your points record will be calculated in accordance with the rate at which you were earning points at the time the refund or reimbursement for the disputed transaction is posted to your card account. If your points record is adjusted in connection with the refund or reimbursement, we will also adjust the number of points you need to earn before you reach the points cap in the same statement cycle the refund or reimbursement is posted to your card account. 3

If you switch your existing card account to a new card account at any time, points already credited to your points record are unaffected. From activation of a new card account, you can earn points on purchases posted to the card account up to the new account s points cap in any statement cycle. c) In the Private Bank Rewards Terms insert a new clause 4.1 and 4.2: 4. If your points record is adjusted in connection with the refund or reimbursement, we will also adjust the number of points you need to earn before you reach the points cap in the same statement cycle the refund or reimbursement is posted to your card account.
