WELCOME Welcome to the Inaugural SRP Structured Products & Derivatives Conference in Paris The creation of new regulation has had a profound effect on the way that structured products are sold and distributed in Europe s French-speaking countries, which lies at the heart of the creation of the inaugural SRP France conference, which will take place at the Hotel Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel on September 17. Starting with an insight into the workings of the local regulator and followed by an expert panel of international regulators, ranging from senior members of the European Commission to the AMF and including the contribution of the local trade association, you will be informed of the implementation of new regulations as well the correct way to use these rules within the spirit of the new laws. The conference will also showcase the first indepth, analytical research into performance across the structured products market in France. In cooperation with the country s leading providers and distributors of these products, SRP will present the results and highlight the most effective sales and distribution techniques. The performance will be complemented by panels on product innovation, which will include a review of preferred underlyings, with a particular emphasis on the use of benchmark and also strategy and proprietary indices. The investigation of indices and underlyings will include a particular assessment of environmental and social governance, or ESG, and the degree to which its adoption has been welcomed in the investment world. Innovation in technology has proved to be crucial to the development of the structured products market, with the use of trading platforms, artificial intelligence in investment decisions and other electronic efficiencies revealed and discussed in the final panel of the day. The new conference in Paris is a complement to a portfolio of SRP events that take place in London, Sweden, Johannesburg, Chicago, Iowa, Shanghai and Singapore.
