EXPLANATORY NOTES PERSUANT TO MALAYSIAN FINANCIAL REPORTING STANDARDS 134 ( MFRS 134") AND GUIDELINES ON FINANCIAL REPORTING FOR LICENSED ISLAMIC BANKING INSTITUTIONS ISSUED BY BANK NEGARA MALAYSIA 1. BASIS OF PREPARATION The unaudited condensed interim financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the applicable requirements of MFRS 134: Interim Financial Reporting in Malaysia issued by Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB), Financial Reporting for Islamic ing Institution policy issued by Negara Malaysia (BNM), the provisions of the Companies Act, 1965 and Shariah requirements. The unaudited condensed interim financial statements should be read in conjunction with the audited financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2015. The explanatory notes attached to the consolidated condensed interim financial statements provide an explanation of events and transactions that are significant to an understanding of the changes in the financial position and performance of the and of the since the year ended 31 December 2016. 2.
