SELLING: Good quality, useful females, in the breeds and crosses demanded by today s commercial ranchers. WHEN: Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 1:00 PM (Following the Bull Sale) WHERE: NRG Arena Sale Pavilion SALE EXPENSE: Nomination fee plus 8% of selling price P.O. or BUYBACK FEE: A P.O. fee of 8% of the last bid will be made on all cattle that are P.O.'d. If cattle are to be P.O.'d, it must be done at time of sale in form of a quiet buyback that the consignor facilitates themselves. Nomination fee will have already been paid and is not included in the commission. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: To enter show grounds, all cattle must have an Official Health Certificate of the Texas Animal Health Commission (more than one head per certificate) issued by your local veterinarian within 30 days of February 28, 2018. All out of state livestock must comply with the State of Texas livestock entry requirements and regulations. It is recommended that all females are Official Brucellosis Calfhood Vaccinated. However, NON-VACCINATES will be accepted for this sale, but it should be recognized that some buyers prefer that their purchases be vaccinated. If vaccinated, vaccination tattoo must be readable in the ear. If the vaccination tattoo is unreadable, have your vet retattoo following the TAHC (or your state guidelines) procedures. BRUCELLOSIS REQUIREMENTS: There are no test requirements for any females. However, all females must be permanently identified with a fire brand number, tattoo, or silver ear tag issued by the state. Females do not have to be TB Tested as Texas has regained a TB Free Status. NOTE: ALL FEMALES MUST be palpated, except females with new born calves that have not been re-exposed to bulls. If they are bred, it must be indicated on the health certificate. If they are open, (never exposed or calved) it must be certified by the veterinarian that they are satisfactory potential breeders. Please identify all bred and open cattle on health papers!
Consignors should supply all feed and supplies for heifers. The sale manager will have available Bermuda Grass Hay for your purchase and use. If you cannot stay with your heifers, we will be happy to care for and feed them. YOU MUST LET US KNOW AT CHECK IN. Consignors must supply feed troughs. It is suggested that rubber tubs be used. The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo will provide water troughs. It is required that you feed hay out of a net that you provide. NO BEDDING HAY WILL BE ALLOWED, it hinders the clean up process for following sales.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT As valid consideration for being allowed entry into and participation in any and all activities (the Activities ) associated with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Inc., Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Educational Fund, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Endowment Foundation and the Corral Club, Inc., (collectively, HLSR ), and to the fullest extent permitted by law, the undersigned, individually and on behalf of his/her family, heirs, administrators, executors and assigns, hereby enters into this RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT (this Agreement ) as of the date set forth below. 1. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS: The undersigned recognizes and understands that there are risks associated with his/her participation in the Activities including, but not limited to, bodily injury or death to persons and theft, damage or destruction to property. UNDER CHAPTER 87, TEXAS CIVIL PRACTICE AND REMEDIES CODE, A FARM ANIMAL PROFESSIONAL IS NOT LIABLE FOR AN INJURY TO OR THE DEATH OF A PARTICIPANT IN FARM ANIMAL AC- TIVITIES RESULTING FROM THE INHERENT RISKS OF FARM ANIMAL ACTIVITIES. RELEASE FROM LIABILITY: The undersigned hereby RELEASES, ACQUITS AND FOREVER DISCHARGES AND AGREES TO DEFEND, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS HLSR, their present and former directors, officers, employees, agents, and representatives and the respective heirs, administrators, executors, successors and assigns (collectively, the HLSR Parties or individually, an HLSR Party ) from any and all claims, causes of action, suits and/or demands for personal injury, death or property damage, accrued or to accrue in the future, known or unknown, (collectively, Claims ) relating to or arising out of any negligent, grossly negligent and/or intentional or unintentional acts on the part of the undersigned in connection with his/her entry into and participation in the Activities. Without limiting the foregoing, the undersigned agrees that the HLSR Parties shall not be liable to him/her, his/her family, heirs, administrators, executors or assigns for Claims arising from or related to the undersigned s entry into and participation in the Activities. 3. AGREEMENT TO DEFEND, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS: The undersigned agrees to RELEASE, ACQUIT AND FOREVER DISCHARGE AND SHALL DEFEND, INDEMNIFY and HOLD HARMLESS THE HLSR PARTIES AGAINST THE CONSEQUENCES OF THE HLSR PARTIES OWN NEGLIGENCE, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH NEGLIGENCE WAS THE SOLE, PROXIMATE OR PRODUCING CAUSE OF THE CLAIMS; provided, however, that the duty of the undersigned to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the HLSR Parties shall extend only to Claims arising directly or indirectly from the undersigned s entry into and participation in the Activities. As used herein, INDEMNIFY means to agree to assume the HLSR Parties liability in a situation, thereby relieving them of responsibility and/or reimbursing the HLSR Parties for Claims asserted against them. 4. PHOTOGRAPH/INTERVIEW RELEASE AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT: The undersigned GRANTS PERMISSION to be PHOTOGRAPHED or INTERVIEWED in connection with the Activities. The undersigned understands that any such photograph or interview may be used by HLSR for television, film, video, visual, graphic or printed media. The undersigned agrees to RELEASE and INDEMNIFY HLSR with respect to any Claims related to the usage of such photographs or interviews by the HLSR Parties or any media. 5. As further inducement to HLSR to permit the undersigned s entry into and participation in the Activities, the undersigned represents that he/she thoroughly and completely understands that this is a complete and final release and indemnity agreement, that he/she is freely and voluntarily entering into this Agreement, and that no representations, promises or statements made by the HLSR Parties, or any agent, attorney or other representative of an HLSR Party has influenced the undersigned in causing him/her to sign this Agreement. The undersigned understands that this Agreement shall be binding on his/her heirs, executors, successors and assigns, that the Agreement will be governed by the laws of Texas, and that jurisdiction and venue for resolution of any dispute regarding this Agreement shall lie in a Texas State Court in Harris County, Texas. If any part of this Agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, it does not affect the validity of the remainder of this Agreement. The undersigned agrees to the terms and conditions above, and acknowledges receipt of this Agreement.
