Adviser FAQs New clients Is the ANZ Cash Investment Account still available? Yes, you still have the option to open either an ANZ Cash Investment Account or an ANZ V2+Broking account. Switching If my client has an existing ANZ V2 PLUS or ANZ Cash Investment Account and wishes to switch to an ANZ V2+Broking account, how do I organise this? You and your client will need to complete the appropriate switching form and submit it to ANZ Share Investing. The switching form will be processed by ANZ Share Investing and ANZ, and the client s V2+Broking account will be linked to their ANZ Share Investing trading account. ID verification What is the identification process for clients new to ANZ? 1. Collect identification documents. 2. Photocopy the identification documents provided and certify by writing this is a true copy of an original document on the copy of each document. 3. Fax or email the certified identification documents and the application/switching form to ANZ Share Investing. 4. Mail the certified copies, together with the signed application/switching form to ANZ Share Investing. What is the identification process for existing ANZ clients? Simply enter the clients current ANZ BSB and account number (other than the ANZ Cash Investment Account) on the application/switching form. Mail the original application form to ANZ Share Investing. Do clients need to satisfy identification requirements if converting from an ANZ Cash Investment Account to ANZ V2+Broking? Yes, the account application requirements differ between opening an ANZ Cash Investment Account and an ANZ V2+Broking account. Where do I need to send the paperwork? You will need to post the application/switching form, certified copies of the identification to ANZ Share Investing. To open the account more quickly, you may also fax the paperwork to ANZ Share Investing prior to mailing. Original documents must be received within 14 calendar days of the account being opened, otherwise it will be closed. Account opening checklist What paperwork needs to be completed? Is the ANZ V2+Broking product available to non-residents? Yes, it will be available to non-residents although they will still need to meet identification requirements. Third Party Signatories Can Third Party Signatories (TPS) be linked to an ANZ V2+Broking Account? Yes, the ANZ V2+Broking account works just like any other bank account. All you need to do is ensure the appropriate documents and authorities have been supplied. As an adviser you will automatically become a TPS on completing either the application or switching form with your client. To have additional parties linked as a TPS you will need to contact the V2 PLUS Service Centre. Where will the bank statements be sent? Statements are sent to the account address. If at the time of opening the account the account address supplied was your office address, then this is where they will be sent, otherwise they will be sent directly to your client. Statements can only be sent to one address if both yourself and your client wish to receive statements you will need to contact the V2 PLUS Service Centre and request additional statements (charges may apply). Remember, all transaction details are available on both the ANZ and ANZ Share Investing websites. Product features When will funds be drawn against the ANZ V2+Broking account for settlement purposes? For equity settlements, funds will normally be drawn and deposited on the settlement date. For all other settlement, funds will normally be drawn and deposited on T+1. If my client deposits funds into their ANZ V2+Broking account can I use those funds the same day? Clearance will depend on where the deposit has originated from and clearance times of the other financial institution(s). Funds will generally be availabie the day following the deposit. If the deposit was made by cheque, you need to allow up to 7 days for clearance. How do I view ANZ V2+Broking account balances? Bank balances are displayed on the ANZ Share Investing platform. If you need an update, you can always request a refresh on your client s account. Payments What facilities can I use to make payments on behalf of clients? Cheques Over the phone via the V2 PLUS Service Centre. Can my clients request a cheque book? There is no cheque book facility with ANZ V2+Broking. However cheques are available by contacting the V2 PLUS Service Centre. Do I need both an ANZ V2+Broking account and a nominated bank account? There s no need to have a nominated bank account as ANZ V2+Broking should meet your clients needs. It conveniently removes the need to transfer money between accounts as funds are easily accessible in the ANZ V2+Broking account. V2+Broking should also meet your clients transactional needs, with access to ANZ Phone Banking and ANZ Internet Banking, BPAY, gomoney as well as the support of the ANZ branch network. Does the account offer a flat or tiered interest rate? ANZ V2+Broking provides a flat rate of interest, reviewed in line with market rates and paid quarterly on the entire balance in the account.
Drawing cheques through the V2 PLUS Service Centre How do I organise a cheque on behalf of my client? Cheques can be requested by either faxing your request or contacting the V2 PLUS Service Centre directly. The V2 PLUS Service Centre phone number is 1800 282 345 or fax number is 1800 671 800. What details do I need to provide to request a cheque? You need to provide the following: amount, name on cheque, mailing address and reference number if being paid to a third party. Bank Cheque or ANZ V2 PLUS cheque. For whom can I draw cheques? Cheques can be drawn to many parties. If in doubt contact the V2 PLUS Service Centre. How long will it take? They are posted on the same day if requested before 3pm. Is there a charge? There is no charge for cheque requests. Is there a minimum withdrawal amount? The minimum withdrawal amount has been waived on the ANZ V2+Broking account. Reporting Will the ANZ V2+Broking product be included in the end of month rebate report? Yes it will. Will the data be fed into Praemium? Yes, your log on will remain the same and the additional data will simply feed in. Will ANZ V2+Broking be displayed on the ANZ Share Investing account activity page? Yes, a detailed transaction history will be available on your account activity page. Please note that transactions can take several days to display, depending on the nature of the transaction. For accurate balance information, you can refresh your balance at anytime.
Questions your clients may ask What s the current interest rate offered on ANZ V2+Broking accounts? Current interest rates are available by calling 1800 282 345. Is there a minimum balance requirement? There is no minimum opening or ongoing balance requirement. I already have an ANZ V2 PLUS account. Can I convert this to an ANZ V2+Broking account? Yes you can. Please ask your adviser for an account switching form. Will my account number stay the same when I convert my ANZ V2 PLUS account to an ANZ V2+Broking account? Yes, your account number will remain the same, however your BSB may change. If I switch from an ANZ Cash Investment Account to ANZ V2+Broking, will my account number stay the same? No, as they are two different accounts you will receive a new account number. Will I be notified of the switch once completed? When you open a new ANZ V2+Broking account you will be sent a welcome pack, which contains all you need to know about your new account including your new account number. Can I have direct debits on the ANZ V2+Broking account? Yes, you will need to notify your third party provider (e.g. your electricity provider) of your new ANZ V2+Broking account details and request they amend the details. How can I withdraw funds? Withdrawing funds from your ANZ V2+Broking account is simple. You can withdraw funds through a variety of channels including: The V2 PLUS Service Centre Over the counter at any ANZ branch At nationwide ATMs (non-anz ATM fees apply) By direct debit Via ANZ Internet Banking, ANZ Phone Banking and Bpay. How can I organise telephone withdrawals? There are two ways you can withdraw funds over the phone: ANZ Telephone Banking is simple and you can transfer funds 24 hours 7 days a week. Just call 13 13 14 to set this up Or if you would prefer to talk to someone, your dedicated V2 PLUS Service Centre is available on 1800 282 345 to process your request. How do I order an ATM card for my ANZ V2+Broking account? You can contact the V2 PLUS Service Centre or visit your nearest ANZ branch to request an ATM card. You must make sure that you have met all identification requirements. The ATM card will then be sent to you. As a Self Managed Super fund, can I apply for an ANZ V2+Broking account? Yes you can, you just need to supply a copy of the last page of your fund trust deed. Please be aware we do not monitor your withdrawals from a superannuation perspective.
