12 INCE & CO FRANCE Customs and excises Our customs and excise department, created in 2007, deals with all customs and excises matters (advices on customs and excise issues and assisting clients during customs investigations), carries out surveys and audits for clients wishing to become Authorised Economic Operators, lectures and deals with questions relating to the enforcement of French and EU customs regulations. Our lawyers also advise on the customs and VAT implications of using large yachts in EU waters, whether privately or commercially. We offers our clients audits to verify that their yachts are compliant with the Rules and/ or conditions of the Temporary Admission Regime for non-eu means of transport. Our team also represent clients who import beverages (alcohol and alcoholic drinks), tobacco and importers of gold. Insolvency In January 2012 we broadened our field of expertise with the lateral hire of a lawyer specialised in insolvency matters who worked ten years with an authorised liquidator.
