Bell Bank Funds Availability Policy Your Ability To Withdraw Funds This policy statement applies to all checking & savings accounts. Our policy is to make funds from your cash and check deposits available to you on the first business day after the day we receive your deposit. Electronic direct deposits will be available on the day we receive the deposit. Once the funds are available, you can withdraw them in cash and we will use the funds to pay checks that you have written. Please remember that even after we have made funds available to you, and you have withdrawn the funds, you are still responsible for checks you deposit that are returned to us unpaid and for any other problems involving your deposit. For determining the availability of your deposits, every day is a business day, except Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays. If you make a deposit before 7:30 p.m. on a business day we are open, we will consider that day to be the day of your deposit. However, if you make a deposit after 7:30 p.m. or on a business day we are not open, we will consider that the deposit was made on the next business day we are open. If we cash a check for you that is drawn on another bank, we may withhold the availability of a corresponding amount of funds that are already in your account. Those funds will be available at the time funds from the check we cashed would have been available if you had deposited it. If we accept for deposit a check that is drawn on another bank, we may make funds from the deposit available for withdrawal immediately but delay your availability to withdraw a corresponding amount of funds that you have on deposit in another account with us. The funds in the other account would then not be available for withdrawal until the time periods that are described elsewhere in this disclosure for the type of check that you deposited. LONGER DELAYS MAY APPLY. Safeguard Exceptions. In addition, funds you deposit by check may be delayed for a longer period under the following circumstances: We believe a check you deposit will not be paid. You deposit checks totaling more than $5,000 on any one day. You redeposit a check that has been returned unpaid. You have overdrawn your account repeatedly in the last six months. There is an emergency, such as failure of computer or communications equipment. We will notify you if we delay your ability to withdraw funds for any of these reasons, and we will tell you when the funds will be available. They will generally be available no later than the seventh business day after the day of your deposit. If you are a new customer, the following special rules will apply during the first 30 days your account is open: Funds from electronic direct deposits to your account will be available on the day we receive the deposit. Funds from deposits of cash, wire transfers, and the first $5,000 of a day's total deposits of cashier's, certified, teller's, traveler's, and federal, state and local government checks will be available on the first business day after the day of your deposit if the deposit meets certain conditions. For example, the checks must be payable to you. The excess over $5,000 will be available on the seventh business day after the day of your deposit. If your deposit of these checks (other than a U.S. Treasury check) is not made in person to one of our employees, the first $5,000 will not be available until the second business day after the day of your deposit. Funds from all other check deposits will be available on the seventh business day after the day of your deposit. MOBILE REMOTEDEPOSIT CAPTURE We will post your mobile banking deposit within two business days of receipt. Unless further review is required, funds will generally be available on the first business day after the day the deposit posted to your account. If further review is required, funds will generally be available no later than the third business day after the day the deposit posted to your account. DEPOSITS AT AUTOMATED TELLER MACHINES Funds from any deposits (cash or checks) made at automated teller machines (ATMs) we do not own or operate will generally be available no later than the fifth business day after the day of your deposit. This rule does not apply at ATMs that we own or operate. If you make a deposit at an ATM we own or operate before 4:30 p.m. on a business day that we are open, we will consider that day to be the day of your deposit. However, if you make a deposit at an ATM we own or operate after 4:30 p.m. or on a day we are not open, we will consider that the deposit was made on the next business day we are open. All ATMs that we own or operate are identified as our machines.
ADDENDUM TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS Your account will be one master account that will be classified as two sub accounts on your records: one a non-transactional account and the other a transactional account. Balances will automatically be transferred by us from the non-transactional sub-account to the transactional sub-account to pay checks you have written, clear debits or any other items drawn on your account, subject to federal regulations. This is for our internal accounting procedures and does not affect your account balance, your statements, the way we process your checks, or any other features of your account. If your account is an interest bearing account, this change will have no effect on the interest you earn or the way interest is reported to you on your statement. By signing the signature card, you agree to these additions to the terms and conditions and acknowledge that you are opening a checking account and a savings account, as described above. Because of this, the last paragraph in the WITHDRAWALS section on page 1 of the Terms and Conditions of Your Account is amended as follows (the additional wording is underlined): WITHDRAWALS We may require not less than 7 days notice in writing before each withdrawal from an interest-bearing account other than a time deposit, or from any other savings account as defined by Regulation D, or from any non-interest bearing, non-transactional account. Withdrawals from a time account prior to maturity or prior to any notice period may be restricted any may be subject to penalty. See your notice of penalty for early withdrawal. ADDITIONAL ADDENDUM TO TERM AND CONDITIONS All checks drawn on your account must be written in black or blue ink. Other ink colors, gel pens, or pencil should not be used. Use of ink colors other than black or blue may result in illegible check images. There may be cases where you will need the check image to prove payment has been made. Member FDIC
