A LETTER FROM: Jon Desenberg Dear Colleague: We hope you will join us to take part in our core series of performance management courses. This entire week long event, gives you the chance to complete our strategic planning, performance measurement, and performance budgeting course. Moreover, it is these three courses that make up the core courses of our Government Performance Management Certificate. Thus, anyone interested in certification, will be able to complete all core courses in this four day period. With a second term, the Administration will be continuing efforts for data-driven performance throughout government. In FY 2014, government agencies will undergo their first Strategic Objective Annual Reviews (SOAR), the annual assessment of progress being made to improve program outcomes and a look at opportunities for productivity gains. The data-driven focus of this Administration provides unparalleled opportunity to more closely connect planning, analytics, and better decision making within federal government. From a performance management perspective, establishing clear, measurable goals for employees and organizations has become increasingly important. Furthermore, linking budget allocations with performance results is certainly even more critical in today s economic climate. Attendees will participate in a series of interactive exercises so that each individual can craft beginning documents to help them with their strategic planning, measurement, and budget activities. As an attendee, you will learn to identify requirements of change management, how to best involve all various stakeholders, and how to connect outcomes to organizational policies, structure, and operations. I look forward to seeing you there!
