Welcome to Employee Navigator your on-line benefits enrollment portal! On this site you will enroll in the medical, dental, flexible spending, and voluntary term life insurance plans that best fit your family s needs. The District offers three medical plans - PPO500, PPO1000 and the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) - and two provider networks administered by BlueCross Blue Shield of Illinois and Humana. During the New Hire Enrollment period, benefit eligible employees will enjoy convenient on-line access to their benefit coverage 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Forms that need to be completed are also available for download on the site. Instructions on how to access Employee Navigator are below. You will receive an email welcoming you to Employee Navigator. In this email you will be instructed to click on Register to begin your enrollment. This email also includes a link to step-by-step directions. 1. Once you click on Register this page will appear. Enter the requested information to register your account. Then click Next : 2. You should now be at the Welcome page. Please click on Start Benefits.
3. Continue your enrollment by completing the Personal Information; click Save & Continue. 4. Next, add your dependent information. Enter the information for your dependent and click Save. Repeat this process to add all of your dependents. When completed, click Save & Continue (green button). 5. Next you will make your medical benefit election. Choose the family members you will be covering by clicking in the green circle next to their name. Then scroll down to view all the medical plan options available and make your selection by clicking in the green oblong shape. After you have selected your medical plan click the Save & Continue button at the bottom of the page. If you are waiving the benefit (you don t want it) click the Don t want the benefit? button at the bottom of the page. **Note** If you elect the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), Rockford Public Schools will make a monetary contribution to a Health Savings Account (HSA) on your behalf. This contribution can be used for medical expenses not covered by the plan such as co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, eye glasses, etc. The contribution made by the District will be prorated based on your insurance effective date. To receive this contribution you must complete a Health Savings Account Application located in the Associated Bank Health Savings Accounts Employee Guide (pages 13 + 14). This application is used to open your account. You can also elect to make contributions to the Health Savings Account on a pre-tax bases. To start your contribution you must complete the Health Savings Account Salary Reduction Agreement. This information is located on the HSA page of Employer Navigator.
6. Next you will make your Dental benefit election. Choose who you will be covering by clicking in the green circle next to your family member s name. Then scroll down to view the dental plan options available and make your selection by clicking in the green oblong shape. If you are a full time employee and chose medical coverage, the cost to be covered under the dental plan is FREE. If you choose to waive medical coverage, you may still sign up for dental coverage but you will pay a premium for this coverage. Next click Save & Continue located at the bottom of the page. 7. Next you can elect to purchase additonal term life insurance through Mutual of Omaha for you, your spouse, and your dependent children. Simply slide the green circle to the coverage amount desired and you will see your premium cost per paycheck. Once you have made your elections click Save & Continue. **Note** You will be required to complete a beneficiary form.
8. In addition to the Voluntary Term Life Insurance that you pay for, Rockford Public Schools also provides group term life insurance (for our employees only) FREE of charge through Mutual of Omaha. The amount of your group term life insurance is determined by your job class. 9. Next you will need to designate who your beneficiaries will be for your voluntary life insurance (if elected) and your group term life insurance. Start by clicking on add a beneficiary. Choose who the primary beneficiary will be and the beneficiary type. Click Save. Complete their information. Click Save. If you choose to name more than one person as your beneficiary, please be sure the allocation totals 100%. Next, follow the same process for naming Contingent Beneficiaries. Click Continue. Follow this same process for the group life insurance.
Once you complete the on-line portion of your enrollment you will see this Enrollment Summary page. Please take this opportunity to review your elections and make sure they are what you want. You can go back and make changes by clicking on the word BENEFITS. Once you are satisfied with your elections, click the AGREE button. Once you click the AGREE button you will see that the enrollment has been acknowledged and submitted. Congratulations! You have completed the on-line portion of your enrollment! WHAT S NEXT? Click the Back to Home Page button.
If you signed up for family coverage and/or the High Deductible Health Plan you will need to complete some information. Now you need to complete your tasks. Click go The tasks you need to complete are listed. Please print, complete and turn these forms in to Human Resources. DON T FORGET IF YOU ARE COVERING YOUR SPOUSE OR CHILD(REN) YOU ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A CERTIFIED COPY OF YOUR MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE AND YOUR CHILD(RENS) BIRTH CERTIFICATES. HR WILL ACCEPT THESE FORMS AFTER YOUR ENROLLMENT DEADLINE BUT THEIR BENEFITS WILL NOT TAKE EFFECT UNTIL THESE FORMS ARE RECEIVED. That s it. You re done. Should you have any problems or questions regarding on-line benefits enrollment please feel free to contact the Human Resources Generalist for your location.
Don t have time to finish? If you are unable to complete your on-line benefit elections in one sitting, you can stop and come back to it at a later time. The system will save your elections up to the point where you stop. When you are ready to finish simply log in and click Finish Benefits. It will pick up right where you left off. OOPS! Did you change your mind? Did you finish your on-line enrollment and then decide you want to make some changes? You have the ability to make changes to your elections up until the last day of your enrollment period. To do this, simple log in to Employee Navigator and click on Update Benefits, make your changes and then make sure you click the AGREE button again so these changes take effect.
