Overall, global high technology investment grade corporate debt totals $5.5 billion for yeartodate 01, a decline of 17.5% compared to last year at this time. Tech issuers in the Americas have raised $.7 billion this year, a decline of % compared to a year ago. This week's $6.0 billion offering from Intel Corp ranks as the largest tech investment grade tech offering this year. JP Morgan, a bookrunner for Intel along with Bank of America Merrill Lynch, tops tech investment grade debt underwriting with 18.9% of the market compared to 11% last year. Inbound Falls.5% from Yearago Levels Baxter International's $.0 billion offer for Sweden's Gambro AB pushed the level of Inbound Crossborder an to $1. billion for yeartodate 01, a decline of.5% compared to last year at this time. Acquirors in the Americas account for 7% of Inbound Crossborder an activity this year, compared to 66% a year ago. an activity from American acquirors totals $158.8 billion so far this year, the highest level for activity since 007. Acquirors in Asia and account for 1% and 7%, respectively. Industrials, retail and financials account for 1% of Inbound Crossborder activity so far this year, a marked increase from the 19% of overall activity for these sectors last year at this time. Energy & power and healthcare dealmaking lead the decliners, down 59% and % over 011. Tops $15 billion, Alltime YTD Record HSBC's $9. billion sale of a 15.6% stake in 's Ping An Insurance Group to a Thailandbased investor group, ranks as the second largest deal in this year and pushes yeartodate volume of in to $15. billion, an alltime yeartodate record. Deal making in the materials sectors leads all activity this year with % of in. Materials, coupled with telecommunications and financials, accounts for 50% of overall volune in this year, compared to % last year at this time. UBS tops the list of financial advisors for target this year, up from 11th place last year at this time, displacing International Capital, which fell to second place. HSBC, an advisor to Ping An Insurance, rounds out the top three. 1
