Additional Information Line of Credit Protection Line of Credit protection to avoid the inconvenience and cost of dealing with temporary cash shortages is available on approved credit. Protection is convenient and affordable as the service only incurs a fee if it is used. If approved for a Line of Credit, you may borrow up to the credit limit set by Conexus. The Line of Credit interest rate is determined at the time of application. If items that exceed your limit are allowed to be processed to your account, additional overdraft fees and interest will apply. A $5 fee is charged for each overdraft item and overdraft interest is charged at a rate of 21% per year (rate may vary from time to time). The decision to allow overdraft items is at Conexus sole discretion. Hold Period Deposits can be made during business hours, through the ATM or by electronic deposit. All deposits credited to your account are subject to clearing and final payment. The credit union may place a hold on a deposit to determine if it will be honoured when presented for payment. The hold period varies depending upon the item being deposited. For example, cheques deposited from foreign banking institutions will have a longer hold than cheques drawn on Canadian financial institutions, as foreign transactions take longer to verify. A hold that reflects industry standards, may be placed on an account for the total amount of the deposit. The following is a guideline: A cheque drawn on a Canadian bank - five business days minimum to seven business days maximum A cheque drawn on a US bank -15 business days minimum to 30 business day maximum A cheque drawn on a foreign bank - 21 business days minimum to 45 business days maximum Cashing Government of Canada Cheques if you do not have a Conexus Account A Government of Canada cheque may be cashed for a noncustomer without charge as long as the cheque is for $1,500 or less and acceptable identification is produced. Acceptable ID for a Government of Canada cheque is: One piece of identification (ID) that has both a photo and signature of the individual, such as a driver s licence. If the individual does not have ID that shows both a photo and signature, two pieces of ID are required. The identification must be the original ID - not a photocopy. 2010 July Personal Account Options and Fees Page 10 MasterCard GLOBAL PAYMENT Card/ Gold GLOBAL PAYMENT Card The MasterCard GLOBAL PAYMENT Card/ Gold GLOBAL PAYMENT card provides you the convenience of using MasterCard but debits your account in place of writing a cheque. The MasterCard Payment Card is accepted at any retailer that displays the MasterCard logo. With a PIN attached to the card you can also use the card at ATM machines. The payment card transaction does not clear your account immediately. It could take up to three days to clear dependent on when the retailer does its merchant deposits. CHOICE REWARDS Program The CHOICE REWARDS MasterCard program allows cardholders to collect and redeem points for merchandise, charity and travel. You collect points when you use your GLOBAL PAYMENT MasterCard or Gold GLOBAL PAYMENT MasterCard for purchases (ATM transactions and cash advances do not qualify). The points activity and balance of your CHOICE REWARDS GLOBAL PAYMENT MasterCard is summarized quarterly on a special CHOICE REWARDS statement. Visit www.choicerewards.ca for details of the CHOICE REWARDS program and to learn more.

It s a simple way to make purchases at more than 300,000 retailers and funds are instantly debited from your account. You can access a chequing or savings account using your MEMBER CARD. Certain conditions may apply for access to your funds. (i.e. no access to unverified funds) Protecting your PIN You can help keep your money safe by protecting your PIN and following these 10 important steps: 1. Use your hand, body or other blocking method such as a piece of paper or envelope to shield your PIN when you are conducting transactions at an ATM or at a point of sale (POS) machine. 2. Never let your debit card out of your sight when conducting a transaction at the point of sale. Only allow your card to be swiped once and always remember to take your debit card and transaction record with you once your transaction is completed. 3. Regularly check your statements and balances to verify all transactions have been properly documented. If entries do not accurately reflect your transaction activities, for example, if there are missing transactions or additional unknown transactions, you should contact Conexus Credit Union. 4. Our TeleService representatives are available Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. 4 p.m. If you re calling outside of those business hours, dial 1-800-567-8111 (1-800-LOST-111). 5. Your debit card and PIN are the keys to your account(s). Never disclose your PIN to anyone or you could be liable for any losses. You are the only person who should know it. Keep your card in a safe place and never lend it to anyone. 6. Memorize your PIN it s your electronic signature. If you suspect that someone knows your PIN, change it immediately or contact your credit union to cancel the card and obtain a new card. 7. When selecting your PIN, never use obvious information. You could be liable for losses if you create your PIN by using your telephone number, date of birth, address or social insurance number. 8. Be aware of any changes regarding the look of the device you are using. Has it changed in any manner that might indicate a skimming device is attached? Report any changes to Conexus Credit Union or the owner of the device. 9. Only conduct transactions when and where you feel secure. If anyone tries to distract you, complete what you are doing and retrieve your card before doing anything else. If you cannot retrieve your card, call Conexus Credit Union immediately. 10.
