Terms and Conditions 1. This Mid-Autumn Spend & Get Promotion 2017 Promotion ("Promotion") is valid from 1 to 31 August 2017, both dates inclusive ("Promotion Period") unless otherwise stated, and is offered by HSBC Bank (Singapore) Limited ("HSBC" or the "Bank") to selected customers: a. who hold one or more main HSBC credit cards (except HSBC US cards, HSBC Corporate cards, and HSBC Debit cards) issued by HSBC in Singapore ("Card" or Cards ) as a primary credit cardholder, and b. whose Card account is in good standing with HSBC over the entire Promotion Period and at the time of fulfillment (as determined by HSBC at its discretion). 2. HSBC reserves the right to determine at our discretion whether: a. a Cardholder has met all the requirements of this Promotion; and b. charges made by a Registered Cardholder (as defined below) qualify towards fulfilment of the minimum Qualifying Spend (as defined below). 3. To participate in this Promotion, a Cardholder must: i. first register for this Promotion by sending an SMS in the following format to 74722: MOONCAKE or COFFEE <space>16-digit credit card number (for example: MOONCAKE 4835 1234 5678 9900) within the Promotional Period (each successfully registered Cardholder shall be a Registered Cardholder and the Card used by him/her to make the registration will be a Registered Card ); then ii. charge and accumulate the minimum Qualifying Spend requirement within 1 to 31 August 2017, both dates inclusive to their Registered Card. 4. Multiple registrations by a Cardholder for this Promotion (whether using one or more of Cards issued under the same Cardholder name) will not be accepted. In such cases, the Bank will only recognize the first successful registration made by the Cardholder. 5. SMS registrations in any other format, and/or with incorrect information will be automatically disqualified. An acknowledgement of participation will be sent to each Cardholder that has successfully registered. SMS delivery of such acknowledgment of participation is dependent on the relevant telecommunication service providers. HSBC is not responsible in any manner whatsoever for any non-receipt of, or delay in the receipt of, any SMS by any party. 6. Supplementary cardholders are not eligible for this Promotion. However, Qualifying Spend (as defined below) made by supplementary cardholders will be consolidated under the main Cardholder s HSBC Card account for the purpose of accumulating the minimum Qualifying Spend (as defined below). 7. All Qualifying Spend transactions must be charged to the same Registered Card. Amounts charged to other Cards in the name of the same Cardholder cannot be added together to qualify for the minimum Qualifying Spend. To qualify for this Promotion, Registered Cardholders are required to charge to their Registered Card, within the Promotional Period, the following accumulated minimum Qualifying Spend for each spend tier to redeem the relevant gift item (each a Reward ): Offer 1 A minimum of S$2,500 to receive 1 box of Mandarin Oriental, Singapore mooncakes (worth up to S$72), Offer 2 A minimum of S$4,500 to receive 2 boxes of Mandarin Oriental, Singapore mooncakes (worth up to S$144), 2

Offer 3 A minimum of S$8,000 to receive 4 boxes of Mandarin Oriental, Singapore mooncakes (worth up to S$288), Offer 4 A minimum of S$8,000 to receive 1 Nespresso UMat Coffee Machine. 8. Offers 1, 2 and 3 are limited to the first 1,500 Registered Cardholders for each Reward, and Offer 4 is limited to the first 150 Registered Cardholders who have met the minimum Qualifying Spend. 9. Each Registered Cardholder can only redeem a maximum of one (1) Reward for the entire Promotional Period. The Rewards are valid while stocks last and on a first-come-first-served basis. For the avoidance of doubt, a Cardholder may only register for one (1) Reward under this Promotion. 10. A Registered Cardholder who has satisfied all the conditions shall be referred to as a Qualified Cardholder. HSBC shall in its absolute discretion determine if a Registered Cardholder has satisfied the terms and conditions of this Promotion. HSBC s records relating to this Promotion including any details relating to registration and Qualifying Spend shall be final and binding on all Cardholders. 11. By registering for this Promotion, a Cardholder consents to the use of his/her personal data for the Bank to contact him/her with updates and offers relating to this Promotion, including the use of the Cardholder s telephone number to contact him/her via SMS. 12. HSBC accepts no liability for any late submission of any transaction by merchants for whatever reason. 13. Qualified Cardholders will receive a redemption letter ( Redemption Letter ) sent via post to the Qualified Cardholders last known address as per HSBC s records by 15 September 2017. Each Redemption Letter will be issued in the Qualified Cardholder s name and redemptions have to be made by 4 October 2017, strictly no extensions will be allowed. No replacement will be made for any damaged or lost Redemption Letter. Details of the redemption will be stated in the Redemption Letter. 14. A Qualified Cardholder may authorize a proxy to make the redemption of the Gift on his/her behalf. The proxy will have to present his/her own NRIC together with the following for redemption: a. The original Redemption Letter; and b. The original Registered Card. 15. The Rewards are not exchangeable for cash, rewards points, credit or kind in all cases, whether in whole or in part. HSBC may, at its discretion, substitute the Reward(s) with an item of equal or similar value without prior notice. 16. Use of the Rewards is subject to the terms and conditions of the merchant providing the relevant products and/or services; please refer to the merchant for details. HSBC is not a supplier of the products and/or services provided by the merchant involved in this Promotion and will not accept any liability in relation thereto. 17. The Qualifying Spend accumulated by a Registered Cardholder for this Promotion is not valid for the purpose of and cannot be used for any other offers or promotions unless otherwise stated. 18. Should there be any issues related to this Promotion, the Selected Cardholder is required to contact HSBC at 1800-HSBC NOW (4722 669) or e-mail to direct@hsbc.com.sg 19. HSBC reserves the right, at any time at its discretion, to amend or vary this list without any reasons, prior notification and/or assuming any liability to any party and shall not be liable to pay any compensation or enter into any correspondence in connection with the same. 20. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore. 21. All information is accurate at the time of publishing or posting online. 22. For the purpose of this Promotion: 3

Rewards shall mean all the items set out under clause 7 and Reward shall mean any one of them; Offers shall mean all the offers set out under clause 7 and Offer shall mean any one of them; "Qualifying Spend" means posted transactions made during the Promotion Period in Singapore dollars, including Online Purchases BUT shall exclude the Excluded Transactions. Online Purchases shall mean retail purchases made by a Registered Cardholder using a Card and made via the internet and processed by the respective merchants/acquirers as an online transaction type through the MasterCard International Incorporated and Visa Worldwide networks. Excluded Transactions shall mean any of the following:- Transactions made at Travel Agencies and Tour Operators and Steamship and Cruise Lines of Merchant Category Code (MCC) 4722 and 4411 respectively. Foreign exchange transactions (for example but not limited to Forex.com, etc.), cash advances, late payment charges, bank charges, personal loan charges, balance and/or funds transfer transactions, cash instalment plans, tax payments, payments at government agencies, bill payments, insurance premiums, donations, transactions relating to HSBC's Cash Instalment Plan, quasi-cash transactions (for example but not limited to transactions relating to money orders, traveller's checks, gaming related transactions, lottery tickets), unposted, cancelled, disputed and refunded transactions, and any other fee charges in respect of a Card. In the case of transactions relating to instalment payment plans of any merchant, only the instalment amount charged to a Card within the Promotional Period qualifies as a Qualifying Spend, and not the aggregate amount of the instalment plan; balances owing on Card accounts accruing from months that do not fall within the Promotional Period; transactions relating to top-ups of any pre-paid card; transactions relating to the trading of securities of any kind including but not limited to any top up of any cash amount required by a financial institution; transactions relating to payments and money transfers made through the Internet (for example for not limited to Paypal, SKR skrill.com); any transaction that was subsequently cancelled, voided, disputed or reversed for any reason; and/or such other categories of transactions which HSBC may exclude from time to time without notice or giving reasons. 4

A: To participate in this Promotion, a Cardholder must: i. first register for this Promotion by sending an SMS in the following format to 74722: MOONCAKE or COFFEE <space>16-digit credit card number (for example: GIFT 4835 1234 5678 9900) within the Promotional Period (each successfully registered Cardholder shall be a Registered Cardholder and the Card used by him/her to make the registration will be a Registered Card ); then ii. charge and accumulate the minimum Qualifying Spend requirement within 1 to 31 August 2017, both dates inclusive to their Registered Card. A: 1 to 31 August 2017, both dates inclusive. Q: What constitutes Qualifying Spend? A: "Qualifying Spend" means posted transactions made during the Promotion Period in Singapore dollars, including Online Purchases BUT shall exclude the Excluded Transactions. Online Purchases shall mean retail purchases made by a Registered Cardholder using a Card and made via the internet and processed by the respective merchants/acquirers as an online transaction type through the MasterCard International Incorporated and Visa Worldwide networks. Excluded Transactions shall mean any of the following:- Transactions made at Travel Agencies and Tour Operators and Steamship and Cruise Lines of Merchant Category Code (MCC) 4722 and 4411 respectively. EZ-Link transactions, cash advances, late payment charges, personal loan charges, balance and/or funds transfer transactions, payments at government agencies, utilities bill payments, insurance premiums and any other fee charges in respect of a Card; balances owing on Card accounts accruing from months that do not fall within the Promotional Period; transactions relating to top-ups of any pre-paid card; transactions relating to the trading of securities of any kind including but not limited to any top up of any cash amount required by a financial institution; 5

any transaction that was subsequently cancelled, voided, disputed or reversed for any reason; and/or such other categories of transactions which HSBC may exclude from time to time without notice or giving reasons. Q: I have multiple HSBC credit cards and/or supplementary cards. Can I combine the transactions made on different cards? A: All Qualifying Spend transactions must be charged to the same Registered Card. Amounts charged to other Cards in the name of the same Cardholder cannot be added together to qualify for the minimum Qualifying Spend. Supplementary cardholders are not eligible for this Promotion. However, Qualifying Spend made by supplementary cardholders will be consolidated under the main Cardholder s HSBC Card account for the purpose of accumulating the minimum Qualifying Spend. Q. I made the Qualifying Spend on my credit card within the Promotional Period. However, I ve lost my credit card. Can I still redeem my Reward? A: Yes, you may still be eligible. The total Qualifying Spend charged to any of your HSBC Card during the Promotional Period will be computed by the Bank and you will be eligible for the Reward if you are among the qualifying number of redemptions to meet the minimum Qualifying Spend. Q. How do I know if I have successfully registered my card? Would I know if I have qualified for the Reward before the end of the Promotional Period? A: You will receive an automated SMS reply to confirm your registration. However, this does not mean that you have successfully qualified for the Reward, even if you have successfully met the minimum Qualifying Spend. Note that verification on Cardholders total Qualifying Spend will only be conducted at the end of the Promotional Period. Only upon verification can we ascertain whether you have met the required minimum Qualifying Spend criteria (refer to Clause 22 of T&Cs for definition of Qualifying Spend). Q. How will the total Qualifying Spend amount be calculated? A: After the Promotional Period, HSBC will verify if the minimum Qualifying Spend has been met by a Registered Cardholder. Qualifying Spend made by supplementary cardholders will be consolidated under the main Cardholder s HSBC Card account for the purpose of accumulating the minimum Qualifying Spend. Q: Do I have to meet the minimum Qualifying Spend in a single transaction? A: No. You may accumulate your Qualifying Spend over as many number of spends within the Promotional Period to be eligible for the Reward, where applicable. However, you need to be within the first 1,500 Cardholders to charge the minimum Qualifying Spend of S$2,500, S$4,500 and S$8,000 respectively, or the first 50 Cardholders to charge the minimum Qualifying Spend of S$8,000 to qualify for a Reward. Q: I have spent S$2,500 on my Platinum Card and another S$2,500 on my Revolution within the Promotional Period. Do I have to register for both cards? A: No, you should only register one Card for the Promotion. Should multiple registrations had been made, the Bank will only recognize the first successful registration made by the Cardholder. Q: When will I be notified if I have qualified for the rewards? A: Each Qualified Cardholder who had qualified for a Reward (i.e. mooncake or coffee machine) will receive a redemption letter indicating the redemption instructions via post to the Cardholders last known address as per HSBC s records by 15 September 2017. Q: What do I need to present for redemption? A: Qualified Cardholders must produce the original Redemption Letter that you have received via post and the original Registered Card. Details of the redemption will be stated in the Redemption Letter. Q: Can a proxy redeem the Reward sets? A: A Qualified Cardholder may authorize a proxy to make the redemption of the Reward on his/her behalf. The proxy will have to present his/her own NRIC together with the following for redemption: a) The original Redemption Letter; and b) The original Registered Card. The Rewards are valid while stocks last and on a first-come-first-served basis. Q: Are there any other terms and conditions for the Reward? Use of the Rewards is subject to the terms and conditions of the merchant providing the relevant products and/or services; please refer to the merchant for details.
