Annual Meeting Notes MHCU s Annual Meeting was held on Friday, April 10. There were 171 members in attendance at the meeting. Speakers included the Board Chairman, Vice Chairman, President and Treasurer. Reports were given by Mark Mefford, Supervisory Committee Chair; Jeff Sterne, Education Committee Chair; and Jesse Northcutt, standing in for Nominating Committee Chair. Board Chairman Bobby A. Flynn recognized the following volunteer for her years of service and presented her with a service pin. Norma Houston 20 years It was reported by President Pat Ferry that 2014 was another extremely busy and challenging year. We added additional services for the membership. These included our mobile banking app, remote deposit capture of checks, external transfers to and from other financial institutions and also ramped up our eservice staff. We added an Everyday Spend Card, which is a great enhancement to our gift card program. ATM machines in Richmond and Hamburg were added. Other ATMs are being planned for different areas for our members convenience. The big news is that we switched from a Federal chartered credit union to a State chartered credit union, said Pat Ferry. This change allows us to add new members in the 22 counties surrounding Lexington. It also has led to a decrease in our regulatory fee of approximately $50,000 per year. We want to reassure you that this change will not affect your share insurance. We are still Federally Insured by the NCUA. President Pat Ferry concluded with, 2014 was a great year for what we were able to accomplish. Thank you for your support and usage of the Credit Union. I want to assure you that your credit union is safe, sound and secure! We are excited about 2015, especially with our new State charter! There were two vacancies on the board to be filled. The Nominating Committee nominated Bobby A. Flynn and Les Burton to fill the two vacancies. With no other nominees being submitted, a three-year appointment to the Board of Directors was declared for Bobby A. Flynn and Les Burton by acclamation. The meeting was closed with a door prize drawing courtesy of Members Heritage and area vendors/business partners who donated items. At the Board s reorganizational meeting, immediately following the annual meeting, the following offices were filled: 2015-2016 Officers: Bobby A. Flynn, Chairman Jim Allen, Vice Chairman Mike Proctor, Secretary Manlus Les Burton, Treasurer Jeff Sterne, Director Michelle Thomas, Associate Director
