LCP Annual Pensions Conference 2012 Find out more at www.lcp.uk.com/events A down-to-earth approach to pensions strategy. Overview As we go through 2012, pensions remain high on the agenda for many decision makers - from politicians to public sector employees; from trustees to trade unions; and from company directors to shop assistants. We have already seen sweeping changes proposed to state pension arrangements including the introduction of a flat-rate state pension and the abolition of contracting-out. Later this year, some companies will begin to enrol their employees automatically in a pension scheme. Looking slightly further ahead, will we see Solvency II move from insurance companies to defined benefit pension arrangements? In the meantime, employers and trustees have to manage their pension schemes in the most extraordinary economic circumstances that we have seen. The more complex the situation, the more important it is to have simple, workable solutions communicated clearly: How will it all unfold? What does it mean for your investment strategy? How can trustees secure members benefits? LCP s 2012 Annual Pensions Conference will help you formulate practical, common sense solutions to these and other current issues.
