ANNUAL CREDIT PLAN, FY 2018-19, MADHYA PRADESH:: CONVENER-CENTRAL BANK OF INDIA 1

PREFACE State Level Bankers Committee is pleased to bring out Annual Credit Plan (ACP) for the State of Madhya Pradesh for the financial year 2018-19, based on the approved credit plans of all 51 districts in the State. The Plan entails an overall outlay of Rs.147618 crores with an increase of 12% over previous year s plan, which will be the minimum benchmark. All commercial banks and other financial institutions operating in the State shall aim for during the current fiscal for credit disbursal under Priority and Non-Priority sector lending in the State. In line with the policy initiatives of both Central and State Governments, the major chunk of the Annual Credit Plan goes to Agriculture, MSME and Housing sectors, with an allocation of Rs.109264 crores (74.02%), Rs.20945 crores (14.19%) and Rs.6840 crores (4.63%), respectively, in the current financial year. Apart from this, education needs, social infrastructure and other priority sectors are also given due importance in the plan. The bottom up approach towards assessment of Annual Credit Plan, based on the potentiality survey of NABARD and growth pattern of various sectors at block level and above during the preceding few years, makes the Plan more scientific and achievable. I am confident that credit flow under the Plan would work as a catalyst for translation of potentialities, as envisaged in NABARD s survey, into productivity, leading to accelerated socio-economic development of the State and an increase in GDP of the State. The Controlling Offices of the Banks may synchronize their business plans with the ACP to ensure successful implementation of the credit plan. Proper convergence among all stake holders is of immense importance to make the proposed flow of credit a hassle-free process and to achieve avowed objectives of the ACP.
