140 Road Accident Fund Act (56/1996), as amended: Adjustment of statutory limit in respect of claims for loss of income and loss of support 41013 140 Padongelukfondswet (56/1996), soos gewysig: Aanpassing van statutêre limiet ten opsigte van eise vir verlies aan inkomste en onderhoud 41013 4 No. 41013 GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, 28 JULY 2017 Board Notices Raadskennisgewings BOARD NOTICE 140 OF 2017 ROAD ACCIDENT FUND ADJUSTMENT OF STATUTORY LIMIT IN RESPECT OF CLAIMS FOR LOSS OF INCOME AND LOSS OF SUPPORT The Road Accident Fund hereby, in accordance with section 17(4A)(a) of the Road Accident Fund Act, No. 56 of 1996, as amended, adjusts and makes known that the amounts referred to in subsection 17(4)(c) are hereby adjusted to R 262 366.00, with effect from 31 July 2017, to counter the effects of CPI inflation. Note: The CPI index based on the new basket and weights was used to calculate this adjustment, effective from 31 July 2017 (with base year December 2016 = 100). The rebased CPI index for May 2008 was 62.63. The CPI index for May 2017 was 102.7. This adjustment was calculated by multipying the R 160 000 limit by 102.7/62.63. RAADSKENNISGEWING 140 VAN 2017 PADONGELUKFONDS AANPASSING VAN STATUTÊRE LIMIET TEN OPSIGTE VAN EISE VIR VERLIES AAN INKOMSTE EN ONDERHOUD Die Padongelukfonds maak ooreenkomstig artikel 17(4A)(a) van die Padongelukfondswet, No. 56 van 1996, soos gewysig, bekend dat, met effek vanaf 31 Julie 2017, die bedrae waarna verwys word in subartikel 17(4)(c) aangepas word tot R 262 366.00, ten einde die uitwerking van VPI inflasie teen te werk. Neem kennis: Die VPI indeks gebasseer op die nuwe mandjie en gewigte is gebruik om hierdie aanpassing, effektief vanaf 31 Julie 2017, te bereken (met basisjaar Desember 2016 = 100). Die heraangepaste VPI indeks vir Mei 2008 was 62.63. Die VPI indeks vir Mei 2017 was 102.7. Hierdie aanpassing was bereken deur die R 160 000 limiet te vermenigvuldig met 102.7/62.63

To all suppliers and potential suppliers of goods to the Government Printing Works The Government Printing Works would like to warn members of the public against an organised syndicate(s) scamming unsuspecting members of the public and claiming to act on behalf of the Government Printing Works. One of the ways in which the syndicate operates is by requesting quotations for various goods and services on a quotation form with the logo of the Government Printing Works. Once the official order is placed the syndicate requesting upfront payment before delivery will take place. Once the upfront payment is done the syndicate do not deliver the goods and service provider then expect payment from Government Printing Works. Government Printing Works condemns such illegal activities and encourages service providers to confirm the legitimacy of purchase orders with GPW SCM, prior to processing and delivery of goods.
