Presenters shuld indicate which f the fur sub-themes their presentatin best fits within: 1) Scial Justice, Inclusin and Diversity in Educatin 2) Transfrmative Teacher Educatin 3) Pedaggy and Curriculum 4) Plicy and Partnerships in Teacher Educatin Language: English Each submissin must be in wrd frmat and include: name(s) f authr(s); authr affiliatin(s); title f submissin; presentatin frmat; an abstract f up t 500-wrds; cnference sub-theme; and a brief-100 wrd bigraphy fr each authr. Presentatin Frmats There are fur types f frmats that presenters can select frm: an ral presentatin, a pster presentatin, a sympsium and a wrkshp. Pster A pster submissin allws presentatin f riginal research in a visual frm that delegates can interact with. During the cnference, psters will be displayed in the trade exhibitin/catering area and there will be a blck f time allcated when presenters will be available t discuss their psters. Psters are t be prtrait and A0 in size (maximum). A0 paper size is 841 x 1189 mm r 33.1 x 46.8 in. Panels and adhesives will be prvided. Page 1 f 6
Sympsium (includes ptinal paper submissin) A sympsium prvides an pprtunity fr a schlarly sessin fcussed n a particular theme r tpic. Each sympsium will be 90 minutes lng and can have between tw and five cntributrs. One cntributr shuld be the discussant wh prvides a plenary discussin f the ideas presented. Abstract submissins fr sympsia r wrkshps must be made by the sympsium r wrkshp Chair n behalf f all presenters. The Chair will need t include the details f the sessin (title and 500-wrd summary) as well as the abstract f each paper which will frm part f the sessin. Each presenter in a wrkshp r sympsium will need paid registratin t ensure inclusin in the prgramme. The Chair may divide the 90 minutes as they chse, but time shuld be allcated fr pening and clsing remarks, presentatins, and audience interactin. Wrkshp A wrkshp prvides an pprtunity fr individuals r teams t ffer a sessin that is practical and cntributes t the learning f cnference participants by advancing a deeper understanding f a cnference theme r tpic. Examples f frmats f wrkshps include: a rund table discussin n a particular tpic r issue; a wrkshp where participants explre a specific methdlgy; r a hands-n practical sessin. Wrkshps will be 90 minutes lng. Wrkshp rganisers may divide the time slt they are alltted as they chse but they shuld ensure high levels f audience interactin. It is the respnsibility f the wrkshp Chair t rganise any presenters and/r resurces required fr the wrkshp. Oral Presentatin (includes ptinal paper submissin) An ral presentatin allws presenters t present and discuss riginal research in relatin t the cnference theme. Each presenter will be prvided with a 25 minute presentatin time slt. We suggest planning t use this time in such a way that the audience can actively participate in, and engage with, the presentatin. Allcated discussin time shuld be included in the 25 minute presentatin time slt. All submissins, psters and cnference presentatins must be in ENGLISH. Papers frm abstracts f ral presentatins r sympsia Any delegate wishing t present a paper frm an accepted abstract f an ral presentatin r sympsium is invited t submit the paper t the Jurnal f the Wrld Federatin f Assciatins f Teacher Educatin by the specified date. If it is accepted prir t the cnference, the paper can be presented at the cnference. Submissin guidelines fr papers Submissin Plicy Prpsals can be submitted by ne r several presenters, but ne member must attend the cnference t present n behalf f the team. In rder t prvide pprtunities fr as many peple as pssible t present their wrk at WFATE 2018 authrs may submit nly ne abstract fr each presentatin type (i.e. a ttal f fur abstracts, fr an ral presentatin, a pster, a sympsium, and a wrkshp) where they are the firstnamed authr. Individuals may undertake ther rles at the cnference, e.g. sympsium Chair, sympsium discussant and may be a subsequent authr n a submissin that is t be presented by anther registered participant as first-named authr. Accepted presenters must register fr the cnference in rder t be included in the cnference prgram. Abstract submissins fr all presentatins must be n lnger than 500 wrds. Abstracts submissins fr all presentatins will be de-identified and reviewed in a `blind' prcess by at least tw reviewers frm the cnference cmmittee. All abstracts will be prvided in the cnference prgramme. All submissins, psters and cnference presentatins must be in ENGLISH. We publish articles fcusing n empirically driven research in majr areas f educatin, carefully develped issue analyses, and clearly fcused develpment articles. T be reviewed, manuscripts must cnfrm t the fllwing guidelines. The WFATE Jurnal des nt have a cpy editr. Thus, authrs are respnsible fr ensuring that their submissins meet the fllwing criteria. Since the jurnal is an electrnic jurnal, special frmatting guidelines must be fllwed in rder t ensure the readability f the paper by reviewers using a wide range f wrdprcessing sftware. Als, the guidelines belw and in the template ensure the accurate rendering f the article n ur Web site, irrespective f readers' platfrms and systems, shuld it be accepted fr publicatin.
