Outstanding claims service Amlin Advance is an initiative for advancing funds to clients following major loss events. Amlin London was the first Lloyd s syndicate to offer such a facility, trialled following the Mumbai floods (2005), Hurricane Ike (2008) and recently the New Zealand earthquake. This underlines our focus on providing first class client service. How does it work? When a loss is notified, the underwriting and claims teams together review the type and circumstances of the claim and decide whether payment can be made ahead of the normal adjustment process Payments may also be advanced in multiple tranches as a complex loss develops Funds can be advanced to the Lloyd s broker, international broker or direct to the client At Amlin we recognise the importance of timely payment of valid claims and, where circumstances allow, we will fast-track payments to our clients.
