He acts for a number of oil and gas industry contractors in business areas such as drilling and exploration; offshore supply; heavylift, transportation and installation; subsea pipe and cable laying; engineering, project management and major (EPIC) construction projects. He advises on issues such as downtime provisions, bridging agreements; design and procurement, contractual risk analysis, delay and disruption claims and contractual disputes generally. He also has specialist knowledge of insurance and risk transfer within the industry. Ian Perrot Ian Perrott began his shipping career in 1976 as a boarding clerk in Falmouth. In 1982 he joined Stewart Offshore in Greenwich as an offshore broker. In 1987 he joined Maersk Co. Ltd in Aberdeen as the Assistant Chartering Manager for their PSV s, AHTS vessels and a DSV. In 1990 he moved to Sealion Shipping Ltd to become the Chartering Manager for their fleet of various offshore and subsea vessels. In 2004 he was appointed to the Sealion main board as Commercial Director and in 2009 relocated to Hamburg after accepting an invitation to become the Managing Director for ER Offshore. Paul Dean Paul specialises in marine and offshore, focusing mainly on dispute resolution arising from charterparties, bills of lading, shipbuilding, rig disputes, collisions, fire and explosion, salvage, general average, groundings, total loss, towage, seismic and limitation. He is also head of the firm s personal injury practice. Paul is a member of the India Maritime Association in the UK and a member of the Marine Personnel Committee of the British Chamber of Commerce. He is regularly quoted in the press, speaks at and chairs conferences and is on the BIMCO panel for our Using Supplytime Course. Experience gained working for an International Group P&I club enables hom to combine practical understanding with the legal role and he is identified in the Legal Directories as one of the leading individuals in his fields. I have worked with Paul many times doing training and he is excellent. Peter Grube Peter Grube is Head of Training: Courses and joined BIMCO in 1990. His first position was in the Support & Advice team, where he assisted BIMCO members with a wide range of commercial issues. In 2000 he was appointed Marketing & Sales Director of BIMCO, responsible for promoting and driving forward BIMCO s global position as a leading maritime organisation. In 2005 he transferred to BIMCO Training, developing, coordinating and delivering BIMCO courses and seminars world-wide. Prior to joining BIMCO he worked in ship ownership in Copenhagen as well as sale & purchase in Greece. He is a graduate from the Danish School for International Marketing & Export and is a Chartered Shipbroker (FICS). He holds a Master s in Education and Learning from Roskilde University (RUC).
