Clear Water Manufacturing Corp. Capabilities FABRICATED PRODUCTS: All fabricated products are manufactured in accordance to the appropriate industry standard. Fabricated Ductile Iron Pipe 3-48 Fabricated in accordance with AWWA C115 and ANSI A21.15 latest revision, minimum Class 53 Ductile Iron Pipe with Ductile Flanges. All flanges faced after fabrication. Grooved Ductile Iron Pipe 3-36 Fabricated in accordance with AWWA/ANSI C606. Rigid or flexible groove as specified. Swivel Anchor pipe couplings 3-12 Fabricated with ductile iron pipe, MJ glands with welded ductile or steel rings. Ductile Iron Wall pipes and Sleeves 3-48 Fabricated to industry standards in Flanged, Grooved, Mechanical Joint or Plain End. Flanged or Mechanical can be tapped for studs. Ductile Iron Filler Flanges Can be fabricated in straight or beveled type in ductile iron. 30 and larger may be steel. Flanged and MJ Fittings All flanged fittings conform to AWWA C110 and ANSI A21.10. All Mechanical Joint fittings conform to AWWA C153 and ANSI A21.53. LININGS AND COATINGS: Standard Bituminous (Tar Coat) and all industry approved primers and epoxy coatings. Clear Water Manufacturing Corp. Ductile Iron Flanged Pipe - Cement Lined General Installation Notes All ductile iron flanged pipe manufactured by Clear Water Manufacturing Corp. is fabricated in accordance with current AWWA C115 and ANSI A21.15 standards. All fabricated pipe is Class 53 per AWWA C 115 and ANSI A21.15 unless otherwise noted. Flanged piping must be supported during installation and never lifted after assembly to fittings, valves, pumps, or other equipment. To do so will place undo stress on the threaded joints and cause failure of the seal. The use of 1/8" full face gaskets on all fabricated flanged ductile iron pipe for all sizes 12" and smaller. PLEASE NOTE these gaskets should be cut to the "old style" dimension. It is recommended for Flanges 14" and above to use one of the specifically engineered full-faced gaskets that are available. These gaskets provide unique sealing capabilities. Clear Water recommends their use in flanged connections with ductile iron spools and can make them available to you. Please advise on your purchase order. *Consult job specifications for gasket compound selection. *Compounds other than SBR available. Flanges should be torqued in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations in an alternating pattern. Information on this is available. Improper installation of flanged ductile iron pipe will void all warranties, written or implied. General Pricing Notes Prices shown are for Class 53 ductile iron pipe with standard cement lining bituminous seal coat and bituminous exterior. Check with Clear Water Manufacturing for pricing and availability for shop primers and special primers. Class 54, 55 and 56 ductile iron pipe is available upon request. Flanged pricing shown are based on import ductile iron flanges. Prices for grooved pipe are for Class 53. For 18" diameter pipe and larger a thicker class pipe may be required. CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE TO STANDARDS Clear Water Manufacturing Corp fabricated ductile iron pipe and fittings are manufactured to the following standards: Flanged ductile iron pipe is manufactured with class 53 ductile iron pipe in accordance with AWWA C115 and ANSI A21.15 and drilled to meet the ANSI B 16.1 standard. Heavier classes are available. The ductile iron pipe is manufactured in accordance with all applicable requirements of AWWA C151 and ANSI A21.15 standards. Please note that Class 54, 55 and 56 ductile iron pipe are available upon request. The ductile iron pipe groove depth dimension is manufactured in accordance with all applicable requirements of AWWA/ANSI C606. Rigid groove is standard. Flex groove is available. The ductile iron pipe and fitting cement lining is manufactured in accordance with the requirements of AWWA C104 and ANSI A21.4. Standard or double thickness as required. The exterior of the underground pipe will be coated with asphalt tar or shop primer in accordance with AWWA C151 and ANSI A21.51. All coating and lining for exterior ductile iron piping, and all lining for interior ductile iron piping, is certified to be in compliance with NSF 61 for potable water. Conforms to AWWA C104 and ANSI A21.4. All flanged ductile iron fittings are manufactured in accordance with AWWA C110 and ANSI A21.10 and are drilled to meet ANSI B16.1 Standard. All flanged fittings and flanged pipe will be coated with a primer if required, compatible with the top coat specified in the contract documents conforms to AWWA C104 and ANSI A21.4. Title to products sold shall pass upon delivery to carrier at the point of shipment, irrespective of any freight allowance or prepayment of freight, and thereafter risk of loss or damage shall be on the buyer. Minimum on any order is $50.00. 4.Specifications and instructions on the face hereof, to the best of our knowledge, are in accordance with directions of Buyer and full responsibility for their correctness is assumed by the Buyer. 5.ALL GOODS SOLD BY SELLER ARE WARRANTED TO BE FREE FROM DEFECTS IN MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP FOR A LIMITED PERIOD OF ONE YEAR FROM SHIP DATE. THE FOREGOING WARRANT IS IN LIEU OF AND EXCLUDES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES NOT EXPRESSLY SET FORTH HEREIN, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY OPERATION OF LAW OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS. SELLER WARRANTIES SHALL NOT APPLY TO ANY PRODUCT SOLD HEREUNDER IF ALTERATION, REPAIR OR WORK IS DONE ON THE PRODUCT WITHOUT SELLER S EXPRESS PRIOR APPROVAL IN WRITING. Seller shall not be liable for incidental or consequential losses, damages or expenses directly or indirectly arising from the sale, handling or use of the goods, or from any other cause relating to thereto, and Seller s liability hereunder in any case is expressly limited to the replacement (in the form originally shipped) of goods not complying with this agreement, or at Seller s election to the prepayment of, or crediting Buyer with, an amount equal to the purchase price of goods, whether such claims are for breach of warranty or negligence. Any claim by Buyer with reference to the goods sold hereunder for any cause shall be deemed waived by the Buyer unless submitted to Seller in writing within thirty (30) days from the date Buyer discovered, or should have discovered, any claimed breach. All goods not manufactured by the seller are warranted and guaranteed only to the extent and in the manner warranted and guaranteed to us by the manufacturer of such goods and then only to the extent the seller is able to enforce such warranty or guarantee. 6.No products may be returned for credit and no order may be canceled or changed in whole or in part without the prior written consent of the Seller. Shipment of products cannot be extended beyond the original shipping date specified without Seller s consent. On authorized returns, Buyer s account shall be credited for materials that are accepted for return less a handling charge of 25% and the outgoing freight and incoming freight. No credit shall be allowed for materials which are found not to be in first class resalable condition after testing, counting, and inspection. All returned goods must be identified by invoice numbers covering original sale. 7.DELIVERY: Quoted deliveries are based on estimates at the time of quotation. Seller will devote its best efforts to meeting delivery schedules but assumes no liability for additional costs or damages resulting from later deliveries. 8.Buyer may not assign this agreement without Seller s prior written consent. 9.Waiver of any breach of this contract shall not be construed as a waiver of any other breach. 10.In the event of a conflict between any of the printed provisions hereof and any written or typed provisions hereof, the written or typed provisions shall govern. 11.A service charge of 1½ % per month will be added for invoices not paid by the due date. Should the financial responsibility of Buyer at any time become unsatisfactory to Seller, Seller shall have the right to require payment for any shipment hereunder in advance or satisfactory security. If the Buyer fails to make payment in accordance with the terms of this agreement or fails to comply with any provisions thereof, the Seller may at its option, in addition to other remedies, cancel any unshipped portion of this order. Buyer to remain liable for all unpaid accounts. Buyer agrees to pay all collection costs and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, incurred by Seller in collecting or attempting to collect such account. 12.FORCE MAJEURE: Seller shall not be liable for any delays or failures in making delivery where occasioned by strikes or differences with workmen or any causes beyond the control of Seller such as, but not limited to, fires, floods, accidents, action of any governmental authority, or shortages of labor, raw materials, production facilities or transportation. Acceptance by Buyer of any goods shall constitute a waiver by the Buyer of any claim for damages on account of any delay in delivery of such goods. 13.BACKCHARGES: Claims for shortages or defective materials or non conformity to specifications, which would be revealed by prompt inspection, must be made in writing to us immediately and in any event, within 5 days after you receive the materials so that any such materials can be investigated promptly. Claims of defective materials or non conformity to specifications, not discernible by you from prompt inspection upon delivery, first discoverable by you upon installation of products, or first discoverable upon failure of a portion of the pipeline to pass certain specified field tests, will be investigated promptly provided you give us notice in writing within 15 days after completion of the installation or testing. If upon such investigation satisfactory evidence is received establishing the defect or nonconformity and that any failure was the result of the quality of the product as delivered, your claim will be allowed in writing subject to the limitations of this agreement. No claim will be allowed except as provided above. Failure to provide us written notice of defects in accordance with the above constitutes acceptance of the material delivered as fully complying with the terms of this order. Since you are in exclusive control of the installation means and methods, the materials furnished hereunder shall be conclusively presumed to have conformed to all applicable specifications in the event they have been inspected by governmental authorities and not rejected prior to inspection. 14.Prices do not include the cost of any outside independent laboratory inspection if such should be required. 15.Sellers assume no liability whatsoever for material ordered with one or more untightened flanges.
