Terms and Conditions A. General Terms and Conditions 1. All offers are valid from 9 th April till 31 st July, 2018, both days inclusive (the Promotional Period ), unless otherwise specified. 2. New-to-bank SupremeGold/ Supreme Customer refers to a customer who: (i) has not maintained any deposit accounts with The Bank of East Asia, Limited ( BEA ), either individually or jointly, in the 12 months prior to the date on which the new SupremeGold/ Supreme Account is opened; and (ii) successfully opens a SupremeGold/ Supreme Account during the Promotional Period. 3. For joint accounts, only the primary account holder is entitled to enjoy the offers. 4. Each Eligible customer is entitled to receive the rewards below once only during the Promotional Period. 5. All offers are non-redeemable and non-transferrable, and cannot be enjoyed in conjunction with any other promotional offers, unless otherwise specified. 6. Employees of any member of the BEA Group are ineligible to join this promotion. 7. BEA reserves the sole right to vary or cancel all or any of the offers and/or amend or alter these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. In the event of any dispute, the decision of BEA shall be final and conclusive. 8. Should there be any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall apply and prevail. B. HKD Time Deposit 1. The preferential annualised time deposit rate applies to New-to-bank SupremeGold/ Supreme Customer or New Auto-Payroll Customer only. 2. For the definition of New Auto-Payroll Customer, please refer to clause H.1 in terms and conditions. 3. Customers must place a 9-month HKD time deposit with New Funds of HK$100,000 or above. The maximum deposit amount for each customer is HK$3,000,000. 4. New Funds refers to funds newly deposited into a BEA deposit account using cheques or cashier orders drawn on other banks, or through telegraphic transfer or CHATS. New Funds do not include funds transferred from any other deposit account(s) maintained with BEA, either under the customer s own name (including joint-name accounts) or in the names of others. New Funds in the form of cash will not be accepted. 5. The annualised interest rate quoted in this promotional material for HKD time deposits is quoted on 31 st January, 2018 by BEA. The rate is for reference only and not guaranteed. BEA reserves the right to make any adjustment to its interest rates from time to time at its sole discretion. 6. A quota applies to this offer and it is available on a first-come, first-served basis. 7. SupremeGold/ Supreme Account Welcome Reward 1. For a New-to-bank Customer/Upgraded Customer to be eligible for the Welcome Reward (the Eligible Customer ), he/she must (i) deposit/maintain the designated Initial Funds (refer to Table 1) within the first 2 weeks from the date the SupremeGold/ Supreme Account is opened/ upgraded to until the designated date as stipulated in Table 2, (ii) open a securities sub-account and a linked deposit sub-account (the "Investment Sub-accounts"), (iii) activate the mobile banking service and enrol the e-statement service for an all-in-one account, (iv) apply for or currently hold a BEA SupremeGold World MasterCard (applies to SupremeGold customers) or any BEA credit card (applies to Supreme Account customers), and (v) provide a valid email address during the Promotional Period. 2. The Welcome Reward will be calculated according to the Initial Funds. If the amount of Initial Funds is not maintained until the designated date in any month, the Welcome Reward will be calculated according to the lowest Average Daily Relationship Balance of any particular calendar month within the said period. 3. In order to receive the Welcome Reward, the Eligible Customer must fulfil all the requirements as stipulated in this section B.1 and maintain (i) a SupremeGold/ Supreme Account, (ii) Investment Sub-accounts, (iii) mobile banking service and e-statement service for all-in-one account, (iv) BEA SupremeGold World MasterCard (applies to SupremeGold customers) or any BEA credit card (applies to Supreme Account customer), and (v) a valid email address in BEA's records at the time BEA credits the Welcome Reward. If the SupremeGold/ Supreme Account customer closes the aforesaid accounts and/or cancels the aforesaid services on or before the date when the Welcome Reward is credited, the customer's entitlement to the reward will be forfeited. 4. The Welcome Reward will be credited to the Eligible Customer's BEA SupremeGold World MasterCard (applies to SupremeGold customers) or any BEA credit card (applies to Supreme Account customers) account according to the schedule detailed in clause B.1 Table 2 above without prior notice. 5. If an Eligible Customer cancels the services as set out in clause B.3 above within 1 year from the date the account is opened/upgraded to, BEA reserves the right to debit an administration fee equivalent to the value of the Reward awarded to the account without prior notice. D. Investment Fund Transfer-in Reward (applies to SupremeGold customers only) 1. For full details and related terms and conditions of the offer, please refer to the relevant promotional materials or contact your Relationship Manager. E. First-time Fund Subscription Fee Discount (applies to SupremeGold customers only) 1. The 1.28% First-time Fund Subscription Fee applies to the eligible fund transaction made by a New-to-bank SupremeGold Customer only. An eligible fund transaction refers to a lump-sum fund subscription of at least HK$200,000 (or its equivalent) made at BEA branch during the promotion period, the maximum amount capped at HK$1,000,000. 2. Each customer is entitled to the offer once only. 3. Payment by credit card is not acceptable for lump-sum subscriptions to funds. 4. The offer does not apply to fund switching and Monthly Investment Plan subscriptions. F. Securities Brokerage Fee Discount (applies to SupremeGold customers only) 1. The 0.125% Securities Brokerage Fee Discount applies to eligible securities transactions made by a New-to-bank SupremeGold Customer only. An eligible fund transaction refers to a buy/sell transaction in Hong Kong dollar-denominated local securities conducted through a SupremeGold securities sub-account within the first 3 months of the account being opened. 2. An eligible fund transaction can receive a preferential brokerage rate of 0.125% (the standard brokerage fee is 0.25%). For the Securities Brokerage Fee Discount deadline, please refer to Table 3: Table 3 New-to-bank SupremeGold account opening month 3. The Securities Brokerage Fee Discount is effective from 3 working days after the SupremeGold securities sub-account is successfully opened. 4. The Securities Brokerage Fee Discount cannot override the minimum brokerage fee. The fee will therefore be 0.125% of the transaction amount or a minimum fee of HK$80/$100 per transaction through non-manned/manned channels, whichever is higher ( non-manned channel refers to the Internet, BEA App, mobile phones, and the Interactive Voice Recognition System; manned channel refers to SupremeGold Centres and Customer Service Representatives). 5. Customers who are eligible for any local securities brokerage fee discount(s) under other BEA promotions at the same time as this promotional discount are only entitled to the discount of higher value, as determined by BEA at its sole discretion. 6. Other transaction fees/charges still apply, including but not limited to the SFC transaction levy, HKEX trading fee, and stamp duty. Please refer to the Bank Charges tables for more details. G. Wealth Management Reward (applies to Supreme Account customers only) Securities Brokerage Fee Discount deadline (on or before) 31 st July, 2018 31 st August, 2018 30 th September, 2018 1. To be eligible for the HK$200 Wealth Management Activation Reward, a New-to-bank/ Upgraded Customer must successfully open/ upgrade to a Supreme Account during the Promotional Period, and take up investment products (including lump-sum subscription for funds, BUY transactions of share trading, or subscription for linked deposits (excluding currency-linked deposit)) of HK$50,000 or above (or its equivalent) per single transaction or successfully enrol in a BEA life insurance policy with an aggregate annual premium of HK$50,000 or above (or its equivalent) within the first 6 months of the account being opened/ upgraded to. 2

The Wealth Management Activation Reward will be credited to the Customer s BEA Credit Card account in the form of Free Spending Credit according to the schedule as set out in Clause B.1 Table 3 above, without prior notice. H. Auto-payroll 1. The offers only apply to New Auto-Payroll Customer. New Auto-Payroll Customer refers to a customer who (i) registers their individual SupremeGold/ Supreme Account (the Payroll Account ) for the auto-payroll service during the Promotional Period; (ii) authorises their employer to disburse their salary through automated payroll payment into their Payroll Account; and (iii) starts receiving their monthly salary of HK$10,000 or above every month via automated payroll payment into their Payroll Account in the registration month or the following month (the Eligible Customers ). Existing auto-payroll customers, or customers who have used BEA s auto-payroll service or received a reward in a previous BEA auto-payroll promotion at any time during the 12 months prior to the date of registration will not be regarded as New Auto-Payroll Customers. 2. Standing instructions, deposits via CHATS, telegraphic transfers, cash, or cheque deposits are not acceptable as automated payroll payments. All auto-payroll transaction records are determined according to BEA s record. In the event of any dispute, the decision of BEA shall be final and conclusive. 3. Each Eligible Customer is required to register once only at any BEA branch, over the registration hotline (22111828), or through the BEA website (www.hkbea.com/auto-payroll) during the Promotional Period. Should duplicated registration records be found, only the first record the customer has made to BEA shall prevail. No registration records can be altered subsequently, and BEA's record shall apply and prevail. 4. The welcome reward and payroll loyalty reward will be awarded in BEA Credit Card free spending credit (the Free Spending Credit ). Eligible Customers must hold a valid BEA Credit Card to receive the said reward(s). If an Eligible Customer holds more than one BEA Credit Card, the Free Spending Credit will be credited to the card with the most recent card issue date (as determined by BEA at its sole discretion) according to BEA s records at the time the Free Spending Credit is credited, without prior notice. 5. The Free Spending Credit is only available to holders of a principal BEA Credit Card (the Cardholders ). An Eligible Customer who is not currently a Cardholder will be required to apply for a BEA Credit Card before the Free Spending Credit is awarded to him/her and he/she will only be eligible to receive Free Spending Credit upon his/her successful application for a BEA Credit Card. BEA reserves the sole discretion to accept or decline a card application without providing any reason. 6. For further terms and conditions governing the Free Spending Credit, please refer to section J below. 7. The Eligible Customers must maintain (i) a Payroll Account, (ii) a securities sub-account and a linked deposit sub-account, (iii) mobile banking service and e-statement service for all-in-one account, and (iv) a valid email address in BEA's records at the time BEA credits the reward(s). If the customer closes the aforesaid accounts and/or cancels the aforesaid services on or before the date when the reward(s) is credited, the customer's entitlement to the reward(s) will be forfeited. 8. Online Registration Reward Online registration is only applicable to Payroll Account holders. To be eligible for the online registration reward of HK$100, the Eligible Customer must successfully submit the online registration form for the Auto-payroll Promotion via the BEA website (www.hkbea.com/auto-payroll) during the Promotional Period, and fulfil all the requirements of the welcome reward mentioned below. 9. The online registration reward will be credited to the Eligible Customer's BEA Credit Card account according to the schedule of welcome reward after the requirements have been fully satisfied and without prior notice. 10. Welcome Reward To be eligible for the welcome reward based on the Payroll Account type as set out in Table 4 below, Eligible Customers must fulfil the following requirements within the Promotional Period: (i) receive their monthly salary of HK$10,000 or above through automated payroll payment into their Payroll Account for 6 consecutive months according to the deadline as set out in Table 5 following successful registration, (ii) open a securities sub-account and a linked deposit sub-account, (iii) activate the mobile banking service and enrol the e-statement service for an all-in-one account, and (iv) provide a valid email address. The welcome reward amount is determined according to the Payroll Account type that the Eligible Customer registers for the promotion. BEA's records of the customer s payroll amount and number of payroll transactions shall be final and conclusive. 3

12. The welcome reward will be credited to the Eligible Customer s BEA Credit Card account according to the schedule set out in Table 5 above without prior notice. 13. Payroll Loyalty Reward To be eligible for the payroll loyalty reward according to the tier and phases as set out in Table 6 below, Eligible Customers must fulfil the following requirements within the Promotional Period: (i) fulfil the welcome reward requirements, (ii) receive their monthly salary of HK$10,000 or above through automated payroll payment into their Payroll Account every month following successful registration during the designated period as set out in Table 7, and (iii) maintain the designated Average Daily Relationship Balance of the Payroll Account every month during the designated period as set out in Table 7. The Average Daily Relationship Balance refers to the average daily balance in the preceding month of the customer's all-in-one account (including a SupremeGold Account and Supreme Account) sub-accounts, and the accounts/plans that have been selected to be incorporated into the all-in-one account statement (excluding the balances of mortgage loans, and credit cards, and including only the cash values of insurance policies). The Average Daily Relationship Balance can be found in the portfolio summary section of the all-in-one account monthly statement. 15. Eligible Customers are required to maintain the same Average Daily Relationship Balance tier in both phases. Customers who upgrade to a higher tier in Phase 2 will only receive the same tier of reward as they had during Phase 1; while customers who downgrade to a lower tier during Phase 2 will not be entitled to the reward of Phase 2. If Eligible Customers fail to maintain the designated Average Daily Relationship Balance in any one month during the designated period, the payroll loyalty reward entitlement will be forfeited. 16. BEA s record will be conclusive concerning the Average Daily Relationship Balance Amount. The decision of BEA on the Average Daily Relationship Balance shall be final and conclusive. 17. The payroll loyalty reward(s) will be credited to the Eligible Customer s BEA Credit Card account, without prior notice, within one calendar month from the end of the designated period. I. BEA Credit Card 1. BEA reserves the sole right to approve or decline BEA SupremeGold World MasterCard/ BEA Credit Card applications without giving any reason. 2. Please refer to the relevant form or contact your Relationship Manager for further details. J. Free Spending Credit 1. The Free Spending Credit cannot be redeemed for cash and is non-transferrable. 2. The Free Spending Credit will only be awarded to Cardholders whose BEA Credit Card account is valid when the Free Spending Credit is given. Otherwise, eligibility to receive Free Spending Credit will be forfeited. 3. For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these terms and conditions shall prejudice or affect the terms and conditions of the BEA Credit Cardholder Agreement (Personal Account) (the Cardholder Agreement ). These terms and conditions shall apply in addition to and in conjunction with the terms and conditions of the Cardholder Agreement.
