GUIDELINES FOR CII EXAMINATION APRIL 2012 Qualifications offered by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) are recognized througho insurance industry as evidence of commitment, knowledge and understanding. They un job specific and at work training, and help you deliver a capable, professional service. These guidelines cover the Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Ins qualifications. There are no entry requirements relating to study for these qualific However, in the case of the Diploma it is recommended that those educated to GCSE standard (or equivalent) should first complete the Certificate in Insurance. Likewise f Advanced Diploma it is recommended that candidates first study for the Diploma a provides a pathway to the Advanced Diploma. CII MEMBERSHIP Members of CII can avail discounts on learning materials, exams, etc., etc. If an individual to become a member of the CII they will be required to pay the one off admission fee equivalent to Rs. 5,580, in addition to the relevant annual subscription fee. The admissi does not need to be paid annually. Note: Although a person may already have a PIN number, this does not mean they are a m of the CII, if they are not a member and would like to apply for membership the admissi will be required. Note: Candidates living outside the UK who are members of an associated or affiliated institute may enter the CII exams and purchase study materials at the same prices as charged to members of the CII. ACCREDITATION OF PRIOR LEARNING CII. London, grants exemption in one or more subjects on the basis of the existing qualifi attained by the candidate. The process is simple. Fill in the Accreditation of Prior Le Form and enclose attested copies of Degrees / Diplomas / Certificates and Mark sheets qualifications on the basis of which you are requesting exemption(s) and send them (attestation fee of Rs.200 per document shall be charged), who will, after verification, forw CII, London. No fee is payable at this stage, however when CII, London grants Accreditat Prior Learning, the required fee, detailed in the letter you receive from CII, London sho sent to PII along with photocopy of the letter for CII to grant credit for the subject. Note: It is also advisable not to choose or enter in any subject that you wish to app Accreditation of Prior Learning now or in future because once you enter for a subjec irrespective of whether you appear or not, application for exemption cannot be enter even if you acquire the necessary qualification afterwards.
COURSE BOOKS The exams are based on the published syllabuses, which are in themselves important a exam preparation and revision. It is essential that you familiarize yourself with these commencing study (a full syllabus is provided within each course book). These set out the objectives of each unit and detail the learning outcomes expected of cand in the exam for each unit. Approximately 3 weeks before the examination date, the candidate will receive Adm Permit from CII, London. The examination center details will be notified to the candida the local institute. EXAMINATION HALL REQUIREMENT Before entry to the Examination Hall all candidates will be required to produce proof o identity. Candidates are advised to bring with them as proof of identity the following:? Admission Permit? Original CNIC Checking will be done before the commencement of each examination session. Therefor must arrive at least 30 minutes before start of examination. ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN INSURANCE To achieve the Advanced Diploma you must accumulate a minimum of 290 credits, with at 205 at Diploma level or above and 90 at Advanced Diploma level.
