Our Team s Experience Our Team s Experience The team s chief strength is the synergy gained from the co-operative manner in which each individual works with all others." Legal EMEA, 2015 International Trade & Logistics Advised one of the world s largest international technology corporates in connection to the applicability of its terms and conditions pursuant to UAE law prior to this corporate entering the UAE market. Advised a multinational technology manufacturer in regards to its UAE distribution and importation arrangement; specifically, the various complex supply chain and logistics matters from free zones into the UAE and transhipped within the MENA region. Advised an international e-commerce brand in relation to trade and customs law in anticipation of commencing its supply chain arrangement in the UAE. Represented a logistics service provider in relation to a dispute with the United Nations. The subject matter of the dispute was the provision of supply chain management to various UN Missions in Sub-Saharan Saharan Africa. We achieved a practical commercial settlement. Acted on behalf of a chemical manufacturer in connection with allegations of breaches of US and EU Iranian sanctions regimes. This dispute involved long term supply contracts and complex shareholder agreements. We successfully had the allegations dropped. Represented one of the foremost freight forwarding groups in the region where we reviewed and redrafted their suite of terms and conditions. Instructed by a global electrical manufacturer to review and restructure historical representation agreements as part of a worldwide reorganisation of brands and business lines. Aviation Advised on UAE law and its interpretation of the international aviation conventions in relation to a class action with respect to a fatal airline crash. Acted on behalf of a leading aircraft leasing company in relation to defaults by one of its lessees and in UAE proceedings to retrieve aircrafts. We successfully negotiated with various UAE airport authorities on the retrieval of aircrafts and secured a favourable settlement in relation to the defaults by the lessee. Instructed by a regional airline in connection with various disputes arising in relation to jet engine leasing agreements. We represented clients in various arbitration proceedings and negotiated a commercial settlement. 03 International Trade, Logistics & Transport

Our Team s Experience Litigation & Arbitration Represented clients in excess of 20 international arbitrations and litigations in disputes arising in relation to the OW Bunker insolvency where we successfully defended claims or negotiated commercial settlements. Represented a major container shipping line in arbitration proceedings in a dispute with a consumables supplier in connection with US Department of Defence contracts for supplies to Afghanistan. The matter concluded on favourable settlement terms. Acted on behalf of a Fortune 500 multinational security systems manufacturer in arbitration proceedings in connection with disputes arising out of a global restructuring process. We successfully negotiated a commercial settlement. Represented a Korean heavy industry manufacturing conglomerate in a multimillion dollar international trade dispute against its GCC distributor where we obtained successful judgments at every stage. Very strong in litigation - they are pragmatic and to the point."
