1. Introduction to Finvasia Finvasia is amongst India s fastest growing FintechCompany that has a diversified business model, offering services ranging from asset management, investment banking, and capital market advisory, currency hedging to brokerage services in commodities, equities and derivatives. 2. Login Users need to login to the portal to do trading and access other features. The portal uses 2 Factor Authentication. User Id s and Password are provided to the users separately. Fig 2.1. Step 1: Login Screen a. First Time User When Users login for the First time, they are asked various security related questions and other steps for future reference and better security. Following are some of the security measures that have been used to verify the authenticity of the user. Inputs Username Password The User Name or Login Id of the user is to be entered. The corresponding password for the User Name must be entered. (Contd.) 4

i. Image Selection Stage When Users login for the First time, they are asked various security related questions and other steps for future reference and better security. Fig 2.2. Step 2 (For 1st Time User): Choose a single image that can be used to verify during future login attempts. Inputs List of Images A list of images is shown by user, from which users get to choose an image of their choice. ii. Display Questions Stage Users are also asked to choose from 5 Questions from a list of 20. Any of these questions could be asked by the portal when a user tries to login in future. Fig 2.3. Inputs List of 5 Security Questions A list of 5 questions is shown to users. The answers to these are stored and requested during future logins. b. Login user If the user trying to login is not a first-time user and has entered the username and password correctly, (s)he has to answer two of the previously selected questions randomly. This concludes Login2FA process. The users are then taken to the Trading Screen. Fig 2.4. Step 4 (for Login User): Answers validation Screen. Inputs Security Question 1 Security Question 2 One of the 5 Questions user had answered during registration. One of the remaining 4 Questions user had answered during registration. c. Change Password Users can change their password from Password change screen. They need to satisfy all criteria mandated by the exchange for setting up a password. In case of failure to do so, the same will be reflected as an error message at the bottom of the screen. The password needs to change every 14 days, after which the older password will expire. 6

3. Trading Screen The trading screen is the default screen presented to a logged in user. Userscan trade, track and do other activities from this screen. Some of the activities that users can do from the portal are: Features Trading Market Watch Snap Quote / Market Depth Ticker Search Chart Order, Trade and Position History Notifications Users can trade through this window Market watch is used to track movement of specific stock prices. Snap quote shows current top 5 buyers and sellers. Ticker search is used to search for specific stocks Charts graphically show the movement in price of a stock over a period of time. This can help in identifying the growth potential of any stock. This section provides the current status of orders, trades and their positions. Notifications are used to notify users of specific events, like sale, purchase etc. 8

Market watch is one of the most commonly accessed features in any trading application. The user can do the following things using a market watch: 1. Setup a portfolio that can contain the stock of his choice in the order he/she wants it to appear. 2. One can view the relevant information pertaining to the stock by setting up the columns in the desired sequence (grid). This can be done from the list of available columns. The user can remove the unwanted fields (Columns) or push them back in the market watch grid. 3. The user can call the other functions like the order entry window, market depth window. 4. The user can sort the stock in grid window ascending or descending order by column, which the user wants to treat as the parameter to sort the market watch grid. 5. One can call few important features from the market watch by using hover panel controls shown Fig 4.3& Fig 4.4. Few features that can be called from market watch are : open a chart, place buy order, place sell order and remove stock. Feature Watch List Add New Favourites Exchange-Seg Buy Sell Chart Snap Quote Users can add stocks to the watch list. Ticker Search can be used to find and add new stocks to Watch List. Users can tag specific stocks as Favourites to allow easier/faster access. Exchange segment is shown to users in the search list, as well as market watch list. Users can buy various stocks by clicking on the B button which appears on hovering the mouse pointer over any stock. Users can sell various stocks by clicking on the S button which appears on hovering the mouse pointer over any stock. Stock price variation over a time duration can be shown in Chart for a specific stock. Snap quote shows the Top 5 offerings for Buy and Sell currently in market, when we click on any stock from Market Watch window. 12

5. Market Depth Users can directly viewthe current stock LTP, % Change in market watch window.they can also get market depth by clicking on a stock row. 6. Stock Search Panel Stock search panel is a control that allows users to search for specific stocks by entering a few initials of the stock name. Stocks can be directly added to market watch from the search list by clicking on the + button beside the stock name. If stock already added - button will be shown beside that stock name which will be used to remove stock. 7. Chart Panel Charts provide in-depth historic and current details regarding a stock s performance graphically. It provides a visual representation of the stock s performance (growth as well as decline) which makes it easier to make decisions regarding the stocks that a user may want to sell or purchase. Feature Chart Stock price variation over a time duration can be shown in Chart for a specific stock. 7.1. Chart Left Panel The controls on the left side of the chart panel provide options to change visual or functional features. Some of the controls provided are as listed below: Feature Zoom In / Zoom Out Show / Hide Crosshair Indicators/Studies Users can add stocks to the watch list. Cross Hair can be shown/hidden using this toolbar. This panel will be used to apply indicators to current selected chart Fig 7.2 Chart Left Panel 17

7.2. Trade from Chart Panel (TFC) TFC panel provides options to place different types of order (i.e. Buy, Short, Market etc.). Using these panel controls user can place order directly on chart using graphical controls shown in Fig 7.4, 7.5, 7.6. By default all trade from chart controls are set to place only intraday orders. Once order executed OMS will place stoploss order in exchange Trailing Stoploss NO (Default) Or YES. If this field selected as NO then OMS will manage trailing stoploss, If Selected YES then OMS will manage trailing stoploss for this order. TSL Price This field use for defining trailing stoploss price for order. If Trailing stoploss selected as YES this field is editable. Options This field shows extra information for order symbol. Back This button used to go back to order entry window Fig 7.10 Buy Cover Order Entry Confirmation Window Cover Order offers an order placement feature through which you can take a intra-day position in the equity/derivative/currency segment and at the same time, system place s a cover order for this position specifying the Stop Loss Trigger Price and the limit price. Cover order first leg can be a market order or a limit order. This cover order will help you to limit the loss, if any, on the position Features Stocks for which Cover Order is enabled needs to be defined. All Orders Placed by the user for the product COVER (cover order) should be a market order/limit Order 28

System would place an SL order at price specified while entering order. Some predefined trigger price % configured for individual scrip s. Trigger price entered by the user for stop loss should be within this % from last rate. RMS would validate this product type taking lesser margin (RMS would take flat percentage or cash co factor times the pre-defined trigger price % configured for individual scrip s ). if one leg of the order get rejected, other leg would be cancelled by system Cancellation of order would cancel the original order placed by User as well as SL order placed by System. 10. Order, Trade & Position History Order, Trade and Position history provides details of all transactions that have been done in the recent past. Each panel provides specific details regarding the transactions. In case of Orders Panel, which shows the current status of the orders (e.g. if the order has been Completed, Cancelled or Rejected etc.). Rejected orders also provide details regarding the reason for rejection on hovering a mouse pointer over the specific order status cell.
