Power Projects market drivers Demand Demand in developing countries is growing; 4% CAGR in electricity consumption driven by industrialisation and urbanisation. Financing Capital markets are unwilling to support longterm infrastructure projects in many developing countries. Under- Investment Under-investment in new and replacement permanent power has led to frequent breakdowns and damaging power cuts. Developed Markets De-carbonisation and ageing infrastructure in developed countries requires $trillions in investment. 28
