Fannie Mae Connect Release Notification June 26, 2017 During the weekend of June 24, 2017, Fannie Mae will implement Fannie Mae Connect Version 7.0, which will provide a new, easy-to-use design and layout. New Fannie Mae Connect Design and Layout When we introduced Fannie Mae Connect in 2015, our goal was to streamline and centralize key Fannie Mae information and data from multiple reporting applications, making it easier to do business with us. We ve continued to evolve Fannie Mae Connect through regular updates, and Fannie Mae Connect 7.0 will bring a more intuitive user experience to the reporting platform. The new Fannie Mae Connect user interface was designed based on customer feedback, to enhance and simplify your access to business analytics. It will deliver the dynamic functionality you ve come to expect, in an attractive, simplified interface. Highlights of the new Fannie Mae Connect design include: Home Page The Home page provides enhanced options for navigating Fannie Mae Connect. From the Home page you can navigate to the Report Center, view your profile, see Announcements, quickly access your Favorite Reports, see a Calendar of Report Release Dates, and provide Site Feedback. If you are an Administrator, you will have the tools to manage user report access from the Site Management link. The four hyperlinks at the bottom (My Favorite Reports, Announcements, Calendar of Report Release Dates, and Site Feedback) are all jump links that automatically take you from the bottom of the page to the section you selected. 2017 Fannie Mae. Announcements This section provides information on Fannie Mae Connect specific activities. It includes informational announcements about new reports or enhancements to the site, and site maintenance details for planned (or unplanned) activity. All users of the site will see these announcements. New announcements appear with a number associated in the hyperlink from the above home page. My Favorite Reports Once you ve selected the star on a report, from the home page you can easily access the reports that you have tagged as your favorites. Calendar of Report Release Dates Stay on top of updates to your Favorite Reports. A list of all reports you can access will show the date the report data will be refreshed, in chronological order. Please note, depending on the report and your business, your specific organization may or may not have new data for this specific date. Site Feedback We want your feedback. Whether it s a technical issue, or just a suggestion for site improvement, we want to hear from you. Report Center The Report Center houses a list of reports that your Report Administrator has assigned to you. From the Report Center, you ll have more options for locating the report you need. You can also explore new reports that could provide value to your role! You will be able to search for reports using keywords, quickly access the reports you have designated as My Favorite Reports, browse reports by Report Category, and view a complete list of all the reports assigned to you (View All Reports). Search Reports Search for the report you need by entering keywords based on the report name and description in the search bar. The search bar utilizes type ahead technology that will automatically populate results as you type. To clear your search results, select the Exit Search button. Favorites, Notifications and Report Formats You can easily tag reports as Favorites by clicking on the star to the right of the report description (star will turn yellow). You can remove a report from Favorites by deselecting the star (star will appear as a gray outline). Sign up to receive an email notification whenever a report has been updated. Click on the envelope to the right of the report description to enable and disable notifications. A purple envelope means that an email will be sent when the report has been updated. Each report will provide icons that indicate the format(s) for which the report is available. Click on the icon to display the report format that works best for you. The formats available will vary by report, and include Tableau (interactive business intelligence tool) or Raw Data (Text, PDF, and/or Excel). o Note: Tableau reports also have the ability to export data in multiple formats (PDF, Image, Data, Crosstab) 2017 Fannie Mae. View Report: Tableau Reports that have a Tableau view allow you to filter, search and sort on data directly on the site. You can download the data in the report via the Download option in the top right corner of the report. For a more detailed tutorial on utilizing Tableau functionality, select Watch an Interactive Tableau Quick Tips Demo on the top right of the page. View Report: Raw Data The Raw Data version of a report allows you to directly download the data without utilizing any Tableau functionality. Reports that have both Tableau and Raw Data options contain the same loan level details, where applicable. You must select your applicable seller/servicer number, report date, report section (based on tabs in Tableau version), and the desired format to download the report. Once you click Download Raw Data, the report will begin to load in the bottom table for Downloaded Reports, which stores all downloaded reports requested. 2017 Fannie Mae. Trademarks of Fannie Mae. Message Manager As Is If you access reports from our legacy platform, Message Manager, you will be able to access those reports through a link presented in the Fannie Mae Connect top navigation. If you do not have any reports in Message Manager As-Is, the link will not appear. Site Management If you are a Report Administrator, you will have the ability to manage Report Categories and User Access in Fannie Mae Connect. Manage Report Categories Report Administrators can designate which reports are available to their users. Select the report category and a list of Available Reports will display. Highlight a report within the list and click the Add arrow to make the report available to users. Manage User Access Report Administrators can specify which report categories a user can access. Select the report category and a list of Active Users will display. Highlight an Active User within the list and click the Add arrow to assign a user to a Report Category.
