Dear Customer Welcome to the HATFIELD GROUP world of Motoring-Management. This HATFIELD GROUP PRE-OWNED VEHICLE SERVICE PLAN (L402) herein after referred to as VSP is administered by Traficc, whose contact details appear below in the paragraph titled Service Plan Claims & Administration Contact Details. It is essential that you read this document and fully understand your benefits, obligations and details of what is covered and what is not covered. This document forms the basis of the Plan that you have entered into and it is your responsibility to ensure that you are aware of the contents of your VSP. The product is applicable to any Hatfield Group Dealership which is a division of Hatfield Holdings (Pty) Ltd Reg. No. 2006/027767/07. The intention of this product is to provide you, the Motorist, with a peace of mind motoring experience regarding the servicing of your motor vehicle and covers the Manufacturer-Specified labour required for the scheduled servicing of your vehicle, at any Hatfield Group Dealership. The VSP has been designed to be used by the owner of a pre-owned vehicle after the expiry of the original Manufacturer s Warranty, original Maintenance Plan or original Service Plan, or an extension of any of these. Pre-owned vehicles: if the vehicle is still in the original Manufacturer s Warranty or original Maintenance Plan or original Service Plan or the extension of any of these, then the VSP will commence the day after the expiry of the original Manufacturer s Warranty or original Maintenance Plan or original Service Plan or the extension of any of these (whichever expires last). if the vehicle is out of the original Manufacturer s Warranty or original Maintenance Plan or original Service Plan or the extension of any of these, then the VSP will commence on date of sale of the product. It is not the intention of this product to replace the original Warranty, original Maintenance Plan or original Service Plan or any extension of any of these, or to run concurrently with any of these. The VSP cannot be sold on a new vehicle. TERMS OF AGREEMENT 1. SERVICE SCHEDULING PROCEDURE The servicing of your vehicle will be monitored by Traficc and the procedure is as follows: 1.1 Please schedule services at any Hatfield Group Dealership. ONLY SERVICES PERFORMED BY A HATFIELD GROUP DEALERSHIP, WHICH IS A DIVISION OF HATFIELD HOLDINGS (PTY) LTD, WILL BE COVERED BY THIS PLAN. 1.2 On delivery of your vehicle to the Hatfield Group Dealership, kindly have your HATFIELD GROUP VSP schedule which contains the agreement details as proof of cover. 1.3 The Dealer will advise you whether the service is authorised under the HATFIELD GROUP VSP. In order to avoid any authorisation delays, please ensure that the Dealer is advised of all work required to the vehicle at the time the service is scheduled. 2. PAYMENT 2.1 The HATFIELD GROUP VSP that has been purchased is specific to the vehicle as per the first page of this schedule. 2.2 You are responsible for direct payment of any cost to a Dealer in respect of work performed on the vehicle which is not covered under your HATFIELD GROUP VSP. Payment of such costs should be settled by arrangement with the dealership concerned. 2.3 You are required to approve and sign any service order / job card relating to services performed on your vehicle. The service order / job card should be approved and signed at the time of the collection of the vehicle. 3. COVERS AND LIMITS The following cover terms and limits shall apply: 3.1 In order for your vehicle, as noted on the Plan Schedule, to be covered under the HATFIELD GROUP VSP it is essential that your vehicle complies with the following: 3.1.1 Must be a passenger vehicle with a payload capacity of less than 1 200kg; 3.1.2 Must not exceed the gross vehicle mass of 3 500kg; 3.1.3 Must be in sound mechanical condition; 3.1.4 Must NOT be a taxi, hire vehicle, rebuilt vehicle (Code 3), modified vehicle (including turbo conversions) or a vehicle that is or has been used in any form or motoring competition; 3.1.5 Must have a valid roadworthy certificate; 3.2 Provided that the full premium for the HATFIELD GROUP VSP has been paid for, the cover will commence as reflected in the transaction schedule (if not reflected, the commencement date will always be after the expiry of the original Manufacturer Warranty, original Maintenance Plan or original Service Plan or any extension thereof and whichever expires last). 3.3 The VSP will cover the vehicle noted on the Plan Schedule, from the commencement date of the VSP, for the labour costs only for a maximum of four services which will comprise no more than two minor and two major services. All four services have to be utilized within 5 years from the commencement date. Thus, the plan expires either 5 years from the commencement date or after the fourth and final service (whichever occurs first). 3.4 Your VSP also affords you a discount of up to 10% (ten percent) on all parts required, for the vehicle noted on the Plan Schedule, for the duration of this plan. 3.5 Any additional labour, on the vehicle noted in the Plan Schedule, over and above the labour on the services noted in 3.3 will be charged at a fixed labour rate of R500.00 (five hundred rand) excluding VAT for the duration of this plan. 3.6 Extension details are dealt with in paragraph 8. 4. EXCLUSIONS 4.1 The HATFIELD GROUP VSP shall incur no liability in respect of other costs relating to the service other than noted in paragraphs 3.3, 3.4 and 3.5. 4.3 Lubricants and Oils are specifically excluded from cover. 5. TRANSFER AND REFUNDS 5.1 The remaining cover in terms of the HATFIELD GROUP VSP shall be transferrable with the vehicle if the vehicle is sold prior to the expiry of the period and kilometre limit applicable to your Plan. 5.2 A pro-rata credit will be available if the vehicle has been written off in an accident, hi-jacked or stolen (and not returned to the original owner) in the Republic of South Africa (RSA), Botswana or Namibia. 5.3 Where the vehicle is subject to vehicle finance, the pro-rata cancellation will only be refunded to the finance agreement. 5.4 A pro-rata credit will be calculated if the policy is cancelled. Pro-rata calculation: Gross Premium minus Dealer Commission minus Traficc Administration fee minus a R500 (Five hundred rand) cancellation administration fee. 5.5 No refund will be payable in the event that any claims have been paid against the plan. 6. SERVICING 6.1 All servicing of the vehicle shall be effected only at a Hatfield Group Dealership. 6.2 Any services not authorised by Traficc shall be payable by the owner/driver. 2

7. OWNER S/DRIVER S OBLIGATIONS 7.1 The owner/driver shall ensure that: 7.1.1 No modification, tuning, upgrading or overhaul is done to the vehicle; 7.1.2 Any services performed on the vehicle shall only be attended to by a manufacturer approved dealer; 7.1.3 The servicing dealer is informed that the vehicle is covered by the HATFIELD GROUP VSP when the vehicle is delivered for services and/or serviced in terms of this Agreement; 7.1.4 Any accident damage is repaired by a manufacturer approved body repairer or a Hatfield Group Dealership; 7.1.5 Preventative maintenance, such as checking the engine oil level, automatic transmission fluid, coolant levels, tyre condition and tyre pressure is done every 1000 kilometres or once a month; 7.1.6 Transfer of ownership notify Traficc. In the event that you sell your vehicle, your VSP may be transferred to a subsequent owner, provided your VSP is still valid. This request must be submitted by you in writing (including the new owner's details) to Traficc (Tel: 0861 872 3422 or 021 425 7066 / Fax: 086 554 7720 / E -mail: mwclaims@traficc.co.za). This VSP may not be transferred from one vehicle to another. 7.2 The owner/driver warrants that the vehicle: 7.2.1 Shall be driven in a manner recommended by the manufacturer and for the purpose for which it was designed; 7.2.2 Shall not be abused or neglected; 7.2.3 Shall not tow any item which is outside the manufacturer s specification: 7.2.4 Shall not use the vehicle for the purposes of racing, pace making, rallying, reliability trials or performance testing; 7.2.5 Shall not be overloaded either with goods or with persons; and 7.2.6 Shall not be used for security response purposes, or as a taxi or bus for reward. 7.3 The owner/driver further warrants that: 7.3.1 The odometer in the vehicle shall not be adjusted, reset or tampered with; 7.3.2 Only genuine manufacturer or HATFIELD GROUP VSP approved parts and accessories shall be installed in the vehicle; 7.3.3 Traficc, Hatfield Holdings and/or its Dealers shall be granted reasonable access to inspect the vehicle if so required by them; and 7.3.4 The vehicle shall be serviced strictly in accordance with the kilometre intervals and limits specified in the Service Schedule Booklet, as amended by the manufacturer from time to time. In this regard, the on-board computer shall only be regarded as a reminder. 7.4 The owner/driver shall, at the time of collection of your vehicle, approve and sign any invoice relating to the services performed on your vehicle in terms of the relevant HATFIELD GROUP VSP. 7.5 The owner/driver shall be obliged to inform Traficc should the factory installed odometer be out of order, faulty, unsealed or tampered with. In the event that the owner/driver fails to notify Traficc of a faulty odometer and/or fails to repair it within a reasonable time, Traficc shall be entitled to estimate the number of kilometres covered by the vehicle in any period that the odometer may be out of order. 8. EXTENSION OF HATFIELD GROUP SERVICE PLANS 8.1 The owner/driver shall have the option to extend the HATFIELD GROUP VSP at any time before its expiry, subject to the payment of the extended option cost applicable at the time the extension is acquired. 9. DAMAGE BY ACCIDENT 9.1 The owner/driver shall immediately notify Traficc of any accidents that the vehicle may have been involved in and of any damage to the vehicle which may impact on the cost of servicing the vehicle. The HATFIELD GROUP VSP shall be suspended until such time as a manufacturer approved motor body repairer has repaired the vehicle. A list of authorised motor body repairers can be obtained from your nearest Hatfield Group Dealer. 9.2 Before the suspension of the HATFIELD GROUP VSP can be lifted, Traficc shall have the right to inspect the vehicle. Hatfield Holdings/Traficc shall have no liability to perform its obligations in terms of the HATFIELD GROUP VSP if such obligations are rendered more onerous as a result of the accident and/or repairs. 9.3 Should a vehicle be written off, the owner/driver must immediately notify Traficc in writing of this fact and the HATFIELD GROUP VSP shall terminate with immediate effect. 9.4 Traficc shall have the right, in its discretion, to terminate the HATFIELD GROUP VSP if the owner/driver fails to notify them of such accidents and the details of any repairs as a result thereof. 10. OTHER CONDITIONS 10.1 Failure to comply with the conditions contained in this Agreement could invalidate, at the sole discretion of Hatfield Holdings/Traficc, the HATFIELD GROUP VSP or any extension thereof. 10.2 Any relaxation of any of the terms or conditions of this Agreement will not constitute a waiver of any of Hatfield Holdings/Traficc rights. 10.3 South African law applies to this Agreement. 10.4 The owner/driver shall have no claim against Hatfield Holdings/Traficc or any of its Dealers, either during the HATFIELD GROUP VSP or after its termination, for direct, indirect or consequential losses or damages. 3

11. DOMICILII AND NOTICES 11.1 All notices required to be given in terms of this Agreement shall be in writing which shall justly include communication by means of telex or telefax. 11.2 The parties hereby choose as their domicile citandi et executandi for all purposes in terms hereof the following addresses: 11.3 The administrator at its registered address and contact details, as follows The Real Automobile Finance & Insurance Consulting Company (Pty) Ltd Reg. Box 3174, Cape Town, 8000 Authorised Financial Services Provider VSP # 25955 Tel: 021 425 7066 Fax: 088-021 425 5180 or 021 425 5180 E-mail: admin@traficc.co.za Website: www.traficc.co.za 11.4 The client at the physical address as detailed in the schedule. 11.5 A notice given by one party to the other shall be presumed to be received by the addressee: 11.6 On the same day, if delivered by hand to the addressee at its domicilium citandi et executandi, or 11.7 On the third day after posting, if sent by prepaid registered post to the addressee at its domicilium citandi et executandi. 11.8 The Parties shall be entitled to change their domicili by giving written notice of that fact to the other party, provided that such new address is not a Post Office or Private Bag address. 12. EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE AGREEMENT Notwithstanding signature by the Client, this agreement shall become effective and binding on the date on which such document is signed on behalf of the administrator. 13. CLIENT DECLARATION The client hereby declares that he has read and understands the content of this Plan and that the details provided hereto are correct. Failure to comply with any of the terms and conditions set out in this document may result in the repudiation of claims or your VSP being cancelled. 4
