Strategic Projects: the importance of Application Form - To sell your idea - Key reference document against which project is assessed - Key reference document for implementation and monitoring - Information for writing the application form (ToR, Applicants Manual, PMCM, Assessment criteria guidance note, FAQ, Infopoints..) Good project applications are generally the results of detailed preparation and teamwork between partners.
Strategic Projects: Cross-border Partnership (1) Details Information of Partners organization (name, address, town, legal status, legal representative, contact person); Final Beneficiary organization (human resources, equipment, budget, other important information); Description of previous (and current) experiences in CBC and international projects; Contribution of the Beneficiary to the project; Competences, capacity and knowhow of the Beneficiary in implementing project activities. The information provided for each Final Beneficiary is crucial. 4
Strategic Projects: Cross-border Partnership (2) Quality of the proposed Partnership (section C of the Quality grid) There must be a strict relation between the institutional, administrative and technical competences of the partners involved and their role in the project. Harmonious and balanced involvement of all the partners involved: each partner must play a clear and defined role. Clear division of roles and responsibilities defined on the basis of specialization and capabilities of each partner. 5

Strategic Projects Work plan(1) Quality of Intervention (Section D of the Quality grid) Well-defined, realistic and achievable work plan. Structured in Horizontal and Technical Work Packages. Horizontal Work Packages: Project preparation, Project Management and Coordination, Communication and Dissemination, Capitalization and Sustainability are compulsory. Each Work Package is structured in one/more actions. Under the 2nd step the work plan can be slightly modified with the aim to improve the project proposal based on the criticism underlined in the 1st step quality assessment.
Strategic Projects Budget (1) Budget of the project (Section E of the Quality grid) The total budget must be reasonable compared to the foreseen activities, the number of partners involved and the outputs (goods services, etc.) produced. The partners budgets must be coherent to their role in the project, their tasks and financial capacities of each of them. All costs envisaged must be necessary for the realization of project activities and achievement of project objectives..
